This was so fun to find. Got a hilarious photo of the search. Thanks for the creativity. Stealth is difficult.
Lots of fishermen hanging around had to be rather sneaky for this one. Thanks for the find
The Little Critter and his home appear to be gone. Disabling until I can organise a replacement.
spent about 30 minutes here hanging off the edge of the wall to no avail, gonna make another pass before we head home so hopefully we can find it!!
We found this cache today on our Canterbury Road / Swansea Road Linear Cache Jaunt. Once again, we had to outwait a dog walker before making the find. This one was a case of is it going to be? Followed by, Oh yes it is. This was our 17th cache find in Lilydale Lake Park. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Almost gave gave up on this one, but finally spotted it. Not a great one for little kids but still fun find! TFTC! #99
Our idyllic afternoon involved duck hunting and yakking about in the summery sunshine. The Donna and King George kayaks were having a grand time frolicking in the water that we decided to turn this cache into a T5.. I think even if we had approached from the intended area that I would have ended up in the lake anyway! The cute little critter was spotted and [@Snips and Co](https://coord.info/PR2TFBV) made her way over to sign the log whilst I was on scouting duties to watch the muggles above. I was so intrigued by the sound? music? of the piano that I forgot to keep an eye on snips and co as she floated away... not quite to the sound of Beethoven or Bach, more the chopsticks style but it was very fun to find a cache with some live piano music being performed before trying to find the cache housing again.thanks iTEEM for the cute hide (only cute as it wasn't real!)
Oh wow, another clever hide, and such a cute cache. Today KristysAdventures and I had so much fun on the water, and the caches here are fabulous, this one no exception. We approached from a less conventional direction, a direction which made the find easier and gave us great coverage from the muggles (as long as we didn't giggle too loudly). Most muggles were intrigued by the piano nearby. Thanks again ITEEM, I just LOVE your caches and this cutie is no exception.
I had a delightful day today as I had the opportunity to meet and connect with fellow hunters. Boss connor, Burnieh, and Raffbrad, The four of us embarked on a kayaking adventure to explore and hunt for the waterline caches at Lilydale Lake. It was an exhilarating experience as we navigated the waters, sharing stories and strategies, and successfully locating hidden caches along the lake's shoreline. I tried this one last time from the land but had no success, But today we had the prize, nice one Tim
Geocaching get together at the lake, perfect time to get these water caches that have mocked me for too long. Out on the water with JuzzMagic, RaphBrad, and Berney. Thanks, was great fun
Find number 12927 at 6:30:26pm on Saturday the 17 February 2024Meeting up with a group of local geocachers at Lilydale Lake for a bit of kayaking and a picnic afterwards.Paddled around the lake with JuzzMagic, BossConner and Raphbrad each finding a cache and signing the log with the team name BHBCJMBC or various combinations of those initials Twas an enjoyable paddle on a beautiful late summers afternoon.**Thanks for placing this cache iTEEM**---Don't miss finishing the Ballarat GeoTour before it ends on 4th March 2024. It was a beautiful day for kayaking with crank1. iTEEM, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
Pwala and I had a great time kayaking around Lilydale Lake today. We had such beautiful weather and it was a bit hot. Found it. very neat one I like. fav from meITEEM, thank you so much for placing the cache.
Spent the afternoon out on the lake again, this time with Papi4506 & Geoturtle37. I had spotted this on the map and was planning to grab on a non-busy day from the shore, but as we were paddling right past, we swung by to add my name to the logbook. Thanks for placing this cache on our gameboard, iTEEM.
Initially I was thinking I should have looked for this from the kayak as it took some searching from land. Another great hide. Thank you iTEEM for placing and maintaining Little Critter for us to find today.
I recently noticed that the Little Critter's abode had lost its end cap. A new cap installed tonight. Thanks go to the recent finders who have replaced the critter carefully, keeping him safe.

Thanks for the great cache! A beautiful day!
Expanded my line of thinking with this and it paid off. Great little hide as always iTEEM TFTC
Whilst on our way to pick up the eldest from a scout camp, we stopped off to have some hot chips by the lake. 10/10 recommend this, and if you go on a warm day or the weekend, Mr whippy may grace you with his presence.
After the chips were devoured, and the youngest was supervised on the playground, I made my way to the cache. With my picnic rug in tow, I was on my way. Oh, dog! I love dogs.
Okay. Back to the cache. I realised that I am not dressed for this occasion. Bright lemon yellow skirt with a white and yellow shirt, such disguise. A child has seen me and is intrigued as to why this crazy lady is hanging off the rock face. The family come and join me because when one of us cacher we all cache. After being yelled at by the youngest because it was unsafe and I could fall in, I locate the cache, sign the log and head on back to the car. The child who is not mine is confused as to what I was doing and stares at me, so I wave to her and say goodbye. She is polite and waves back, still bamboozled as to why I was ever there. Now to pick up the scout. Oh, dog!

Our favourite section of the lake. Geodog always has a swim here. Cute little critter was nearly having a swim too! What a cute, clever and daring hide. Lucky for us there were only 2 muggles on their weekend loveseat, so we did a quick retrieval and return. We just keep lovin' your stuff! TFTC iTEEM
Nope totally stumped with this one. Too many people around to go nuts so will have to have another crack at this one.
Well we rocked up to the GZ is now starting to rain. We’ve just had a feed. I look at the terrain and the difficulty and then I’m thinking he might be a little bit too cold to go for a swim anyway look there looked everywhere. Bang saw the tail very well done. Thank you for a great hide again definitely deserves a favourite️
We have been trying to leave this cache as the grandies are fans of 'that sneaky man' but we will just have to re-visit. We were not disappointed. Another great hide by iTEEM. Thanks for the cache and fun finding.
What another great cache by this CO. No way that I will be telling the grandies. More than happy to come back and let them have fun looking for this hide. Thank you for another great cache.
Despite no means of water transportation I was determined to find this little critter. This was probably going to be my best chance as it was early, cold and not many people around in what is usually a very busy spot. After about 15m of creative searching I found this shy and elusive critter and returned safely to his burrow.
Took in the sun at the lake, but started getting s little cool so we had a walk around the lake and found this cache.
Thanks to iTEEM for the fun and the adventure.
Thanks to iTEEM for the fun and the adventure.
I was looking from above and just could not spot the critter. I am sure it is there but it seems you are better off if you have a boat.
We decided that seeing as it was still cool, a landlubber approach to this cache would be the way to go. Turns out the yak/sup was a much better approach. Am amazed this one hasn’t gone diving more as one false move and you’re sunk. All good and on our way for the other adventures here a Lilydale lake on a perfect day to be on the water.

After organizing a kayaking trip here with kbucky and finding suitable parking spaces we unloaded the gear and hit the water we paddled over here to search after a failed attempt from above kbucky was on to this cache pretty quickly we signed this cache and drifted away from GZ due to the wind paddling back and kbucky replaced this little critter... I came up to Lillydale Lake today with the main focus of trying to find [Home Sweet Home (GC9KGQ5)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9KFQ5), as I needed to find a T4.5 cache on a Wednesday in order to help me work on qualifying for the [DotW Challenge Series - D/T ratings (GC8F0GY)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC8F0GY).
However as [Home Sweet Home (GC9KGQ5)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9KFQ5), requires wading, I figured I would try to grab a few caches around the lake before I inevitably had to take the wet walk.
The day accidentally turned into a mini [iTEEM](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=a8908442-351f-46bc-b18a-662bca11a40a&wid=0d6765be-c582-43de-8c07-4395a3dd96b7&ds=2) caching trip, as I ended up finding four of their's today.
However, with them always putting so much effort into their fun and creative hides, I couldn't think of a better way to spend the day.
This one was my fifth find of the day, but it actually took me two tries. I ended up stopping here first on my arrival at the lake but after about 20 minutes of searching, and a few suspicious looks, I decided to continue on. So on my return to the lake I figured I would give it one more go, before I eventually logged a DNF.
After [my find](https://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LUID=ca50dae4-dda6-49d3-9809-59091e5ac4c9) at [Lillydale - John, Hardy (GC9F3C9)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9F3C9) my phone was still in satellite view, and I think this is what made all the difference. As from the map it look like my phone was about 10M off of where the cache was placed. So with another search and after about 10 minutes I ended up finding the little creature. Another excellent and fun cache [iTEEM](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=a8908442-351f-46bc-b18a-662bca11a40a&wid=0d6765be-c582-43de-8c07-4395a3dd96b7&ds=2)!
I ended up picking up the [HQ SCB #1 (TB8R6A8) trackable](https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?guid=f3a1ad3c-1e29-495f-a1ac-a7ca386dad53) from a previous cache found today, but with this cache being a micro, I will just "dip" it here to put some Kms on it.
Thanks so much for the fun today and TFTC.
**Cache Maintenance Status**
The cache container was in good shape, the attachment mechanism still seemed strong and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.

After doing the parkrun here this morning I set about finding a few caches around the lake.
With parkrun completed I almost had this area to myself.
Unfortunately I discovered this little critter was indeed very shy - he remained elusive today. I had an idea of what I was looking for but all I discovered was that little stones can hurt a lot when they dig into your knees !
Thanks anyway, iTEEM.

After paddling from one end of the lake to the other, we beached the vessels to search, but the elusive beastie... remained elusive.
So back to the water... from which there it was, plain as day.
Nice one, iTEEM.
And now all that was left was to paddle back to our starting point. A very satisfying outing indeed.

We had found a few caches around Lilydale and today we had time for just one. In fact we used this cache for Google Maps to get us back in the town.
It was clear that everyone was here for the water park. There was way more people than we had seen at any winery at Yarra Valley and none of them had a silver spoon lodged in their arse. My wife and I have been holidaying in Yarra Glen for the week and if I here anyone talk about these imaginary tannins, I’m going to point them at the imaginary G-Spot.
We took the advice to lie down and after catching about 20 minutes of sleep spotted the hide. We were off to the Nepalese restaurant for takeaway but also to the shopping centre for some of the best olives we have ever had. tftc

After a fun afternoon of T5 shenanigan out here on Lillydale Lake, we are on the home stretch now.
We ran aground on the nearby beach and headed over here on foot.
Fortunately all the fisherfolk were far enough away that we were able to search unhindered.
Search we did... Eventually the Little Critter was unearthed by nirgalagrin and coaxed out into the daylight.
I'm sure it feared becoming live bait on the next cast.
Not to worry, all stamped and returned safely to it's sneaky hiding spot.
What a fantastic voyage we had today. Time to paddle back to the boat ramp and load up.
Thanks for some great caches iTeem. We've had a ball on the lake.
Finally, a sea of smiling faces again.

Having fulfilled my objective for this caching trip of visiting the Virtual at Lilydale Lake, it was now time to find a few more caches in the area before heading home.
This was my only for the day... and not for any failing on my part. I arrived at GZ to find a *Big Critter* standing on top of *Little Critter* fishing! They were clearly not going anywhere in a hurry... and my parking time back in Lilydale itself was running out so I thought it best to leave *Little Critter* asleep today...

The critter's burrow has now been reattached as before, and the critter is awaiting the next finder.
Wet and cold day, just right for avoiding muggles. Quick find and signed and returned.
Found on a fantastic Monday 22 degrees and sunny perfect for caching. This one is clever well done
Well wasn't that a treat! Initially I was worried because the fencing had very recently been replaced. We needn't have worried, the description and compass made it clear that it was closer to the water. Me, being as clumsy as I am, approached gz on stomach as to avoid an unexpected bath. Such a great cache! Earnt a favourite point from me and my nephew.
What a very clever little find this is - in a place reminding me to get back into parkrun. tftc

Another day of caching shenanigans with Stemicmitsar, and with some more hiking on the mind. Hamfish and his event in Kinglake had caught our eyes, collecting some trads and other odds and ends on the way up for myself as I subject Stemicmitsar to walking the "loop" again.
Little cheeky critter on this one, proceeding with our search Stemicmitsar and I were introduced to a rather friendly kayaker whom offered to find whatever we had lost. Explaining what we were doing he happily moved on, and soon after Stemicmitsar found the cache.

Today it was time for buhfuhguh and myself to head for the hills, Mount Everard to be exact to attended an event but before hand we decided to swing by Lilydale lake to pick up a few caches along the way.
We started having a look for this one when we heard an offer to help find what we had lost in the water by a kayaker, when he got closer we explained that we hadn't lost anything and that we were Geocaching, not knowing what the hell we were talking about, he continued on his we and we went back to looking, shortly after the little critter was found.
**Thanks to iTEEM for placing this cache.**

I had just dropped off daughter and friend nearby and got the son off technology to enjoy the winter sun. Parked nearby and woandered over. As we approached GZ, a mother son and dog sat at the nearby bench. So we sat at another one. Once the left we got closer to Gz but then another group of father and three boys came close but they didn't stay put. Thank goodness. After many belly flops from both of us, I located it and successfully wrote in the log keeping him and his tail nice and dry. Great cache. Favourite point. Tftc.
We headed towards Lilydale Lake this afternoon as we needed a nice gentle walk that had a playground at the end as a reward for the youngest! As we made our way around I saw this relatively new cache and stopped for a look. It took me a little bit of time to zero in on where the cache was hidden - turns out I managed to miss it a few times. All good in the end. TFTC iTEEM
Found 6:53 am
Enjoyed this one and found the coordinates to be spot on. Like other logs it wasn't at all obvious and this is a great example of a hide done very well for its location. Will try to get out on the water soon for those other caches not too far from here, it's been too long since a good Yak. Appreciate the efforts here favourite. [^]

Well that had the potential to be a rather wet end to a walk around the lake! After scrabbling about on my knees finally spotted the elusive tail. Thanks.
After having a little caching adventure nearby, Crustyvarmint and I wandered across to locate this little critter. It had the potential to be more challenging but there weren’t too many hunting options for the landlubbers. Crustyvarmint had the touch and stayed dry to make the find.

After finding another cache nearby, Ronice88 and I walked across to locate this little critter. He has built himself a nice little home, in an area where he won't be trodden on. It didn't take long to coax him out for a chat, and we exchanged autographs.
Another excellent iTEEM hide for which I have given a favourite point.

Took a long time to find and I lost the top of my name stamp in the water- only used it for 2 days! But still, it's so good, it gets a fav. But no idea how anyone can see it as they approach, we felt it.
A quick trip to find this before having dinner with Mum, good job I did not get to wet or dirty.
Thanks ITEEM for the cache.

Only time for one cache today, and I'm happy I choose this one.
After a quick catch up with my buddy in the nearby carpark we made the short walk to Gz for the hunt.
Once some muggles had moved on we soon had our hands on the very well placed cache.
Favourite point for sure
