Took a little while. Appreciate the previous photos and brand new log. Likely won’t stay dry for long…
We had a nice time in Rotorua and were also out for caching.
The cache was hidden very well, but luckily we found it. But the logbook is in a bad condition... So we made a picture.

One of nine caches located in the Rotorua area today after my Canopy Tours experience (zip lining, etc) this morning and Redwood Treewalk this afternoon. Did this one in our lunch break. Took a few moments to spot. Some earlier logs with accompanying photos proved helpful. The logsheet was too wet to sign. I took a photo as evidence of the find. #5957. TFTC.
Found with Kat33, Mumzi and TheGrunch. Greeting's from Calgary, Canada! After a beautiful couple of days in Rotorua it was time to sadly pack up and ship out. Really enjoyed our time here and already some of our party is talking about when to come back, . Still managed to find one final cache while walking around town and checking out the Rotorua Museum (can't say I expected to see a building with that kind of architecture here). After that it was a very early morning as we made our way to the airport and caught our flight over to the capital of this fine land, Wellington! Got in early so couldn't check into our accommodation but that gave us some time to head on over and check out the New Zealand parliament and learned up a bit about the history of the area as well as some of the political firsts New Zealand can be proud of. After that it was time to head out of the way for a bit (as I bet most geocaching tourist here are apt to do) and made our way on over to Wainuiomata Regional Park (I'm pretty sure you know what this is leading to). Of course we couldn't be this close without giving a go at a May 2000 cache, not many of the around alas. After doing that successfully we came back into town and walked around some finding another two traditionals while along the road. This cache was cache 1 of 1 and was found on 2023.02.21 at 10:45:00 AM for a total of 5051. Spent our last day in Rotorua just ambling around casually. Saw this geocache along the way and gave it a try. These types of locations always gives us fits and this one was no different. Searched and searched and, just when I was about to suggest moving along, TheGrunch found the well constructed cache (certainly not what we were expecting). Log was wet and there wasn't a cap to be found but we were able to mark down F4 on it. TFTC Davidson123Clan!
We had hoped to find this one last evening but there was a muggle sitting on the seat and it looked like she was there for the long haul so we had to return today. 4Clubs and I turned over so many rocks and pretty much rearranged the entire rock garden until finally I found what we were looking for! I was able to extract the log and wrote in it but it is slightly damp. The hint is correct. Thanks for the fun cache
Quick find in the rain. Log very wet, unable to extract without destroying it. TFTC
Didn’t have pen but found it!! Partner and I had to scavenge through the rocks and start turning them over pne by one lol.. fun one
In town to support some competitors in the Tarawera Ultramarathon and a quick find while out for a walk. TFTC
We'd had a look a couple of days ago but talk about a needle in a haystack! But in the meanwhile I'd looked at a few spoilers and got a few hints. And then today as we approached we saw a large group of people looking intently at the rocks. We know what you're doing! We still had quite a look before I managed to spot it. To me it didn't look much like any of the pictures of even match the hint/description. To me it was Guerr ebpxf. Thanks
Found it during my walk through Rotorua. Thanks for the Cache!
The paper is wet, a new logbook would be fine!

And we made it to Rotorua on a n impromptu visit. After stopping for some Dominoes in the park we headed this way. Geomum made light work of this. What a cool little cache .
Cache Nummer 44 in Neuseeland. Cache gefunden, aber leider kein Logbuch mehr da.
Took 3 of us to hunt this cache down! But had it in hand after a few mins. Great hide but contents was so wet and pushed into the tube we couldn’t get anything out. TFTC.
Found it but it needs maintenance as log is too wet to sign. Photo attached as proof sorry if it gives the game away to others. TFTC
Found on first look great cache really hiding in plain sight! but logbook has disintegrated so unable to sign.

Unable to retrieve logbook to sign - using tweezers was just going to rip it. Great cache though!
Made it to Rotorua on our Campingtrip throigh New Zealand. Explored the city a bit and walked down the coastline. Took us a bit to find this cache. Tftc!
Stoppt in Rotorua for Beer, Burger and geocaching. Stoppt here for the Geocache while sightseeing.
Thanks for the hint and for all photos!
Thanks for the hint and for all photos!
Tried for a little while, couldn't see one that looked different like the picture wondering if in another garden?
Nice quick find here though lid missing and log sheet pretty damp. Just about managed to sign.

greetings from Canada! What a beautiful park. Thanks for bringing us here. It took us a while to find it but the previous log really really helped.
Nice to find a little cache in this new spot. Piwaka54 provided a distraction with her camera - birds are always a fav! Great little cache!!! Found with Piwaka54 on our trip north from Petone for a family wedding. Love what they have done on the lake shore here.
Visiting Rotorua with the extended family. While the grandkids were playing in the park i went in search of a few caches. Took me some time to hone in on this cache and only after reviewing previous logs for any extra hints.
This is odd??
I would never have though that a rock hide hidden amongst rocks is a beginner cache, where the average cache (eg 500 finds) would expect to find it in 10-15 minutes. Especially when you realise that we need to search out to 10 metres radius, given that we do not know just how good the coordinates are. I guess the Rotorua caching community are a little different to the rest of us. I would have thought a D2 or 2.5 would be more appropriate.
Me, it took about half an hour. Sure I found the hide, but the cache is rather invisible even when looking right at it, so it took two go arounds. And in the meantime I found quite a few unique rocks amongst this collection. Some are quite awesome, like the brown one that looks like rusty steel but is too light, and the bubbly pumice.

Back in Rotorua for the night as we make our way slowly southwards.
Lots of muggles around, but twiddling on the phone as I surveyed the area meant no one took any notice of me.
I soon spotted something worth investigating and it produced what I was after.
The container doesn't hold in place anymore, but that isn't a problem.
Thanks for putting this here
