Let me know if my request is possible please so I can inform the girl guides . Fingers crossed , and toes crossed
In the area for a couple of new caches today, so we thought we'd hang around and find a few more while we're here. This one was a little confusing - we tried the location that we thought was more matching the hint, before expanding our search and finding the cache somewhere much easier. TFTC!
The oldest kid is a keen tree climber so was particularly interested to check this one out. Turns out the youngest was more in luck - finding a pile of potatoes and $4 at GZ. And being the tallest of us, I was the one who had to put my had somewhere wet and spiderwebby, that I couldn't see into! I certainly would not have put my hand in there if it wasn't for geocaching haha! Cache is sitting in a lot of water and log is wet but still ok.
Yikes. Had to do a tricky manouver here to earn the yellow smiley. Almost came a cropper returning it too. Glad to tick this one off. Nice park. [TFTC]
Afternoon outing in Orewa collecting a couple of caches along the way. Dismissed the obvious location initially and was looking a little further afield. Eventually came back and had a closer look. Lucky Kiwi is tall. Should have checked out the terrain rating for starters. No Ts around today. TFTC
**20,771**A nice little park area, that gave us a chance to give the dogs a run around and a drink of water. Cache was quickly located whilst the dogs enjoyed their time out of the van. Barely a muggle in the area so no extreme stealth required. TFTC
After visiting relatives in Orewa, we had time to find a few caches before heading home.Fortunately we had the required TOTT with us today, and we managed to park very close to gz. No tuis today, but we did get questioned by a muggle as to what we were doing. He thought we might be trying to rescue a cat!A nice quick find here. Thanks for the cache and smilie
On our journey through New Zealand today a trip from Whitianga to Orewa. Of course we also search in Orewa, but we are overwhelmed by the offer here. Thank you very much to CO for laying this cache. With warm geocache greetings from the Netherlands
Spotted something obvious on approach. Hmmm...how to get it? I'm tall but it was just out of my reach still. I wandered over to a nearby recycling bin and found a discarded plastic container to use as a footstool. Yep, that did the trick. Tftc
It's a tricky little climb to get to this one! I had to go barefoot Really cool spot, though! I recommend getting some sort of jump up if you're not confident in climbing
Had small children, did painful hoisting onto my shoulders but sadly did not find!!
Checked the holes but no luck, tried poking a stick in the higher ones but nothing to be found
I had a couple of missions on my mind today, one was to find a mystery cache for a 'mystery a day challenge' GC9BVFZ (done now) and also because I need to find 100 caches this month for HQ's challenge and you get 3 souvenirs along the way, so numbers are also important.
Thankfully when I arrived here, I happened to have a TOTT with me that got me easily to the right height, (I am a builder after-all) but when I looked in the hole nothing there! Do I have the correct hole? I checked all holes that I could see, hopefully I didn't miss any, so I replaced the cache with a pill bottle as per the hint and added paper in it off course. Let me know if this is OK guys. Naturally you'll have to get up there yourselves to check. A few Tui's here today, I could well hear them, but never saw where they were hiding. Now another cache here in Orewa then I might think about heading south then home.

Me and my friend think we found it, but there’s only just a bouncy ball, is this the cause?
The geohound needed a bit of a walk and I needed a bit of a geocache sessions, so decided to combine the two here. Easily spotted the tree of tuis, how could you miss something that big. The spotted a couple of places for a tui to be, but nothing that would warrant T4. Then hubbie spotted the other one! It was slightly out of reach. He tried to give me a bit of a leg up, but I'm a bit out of shape and I left my sense of balance at a different cache, so trying to climb up on his knee was a disaster waiting to happen. But hubbie does have his uses sometimes, and somehow he managed to reach that little bit further and got a hold of a cache. Signed the log, he shoved it back in place and we carried on walking the geohound. That was enough excitement for one night.
I headed up to Orewa, around lunch time, for my daily walk and to attend a nearby event at Red Beach. With the short walk around Alice Eaves Reserve completed, I had a bit of time, before the event, to collect a couple more hides and a few ad lab way points as well. This one looked interesting when it came up on the GPSr, so I determined to stop for a look. I parked up on Centreway Road and came into the park via that entrance. A short walk across grass soon bought me to ground zero. It took me a few minutes to spot the hide. While I was able to stretch and just reach the hide, I wasn't able to remove it from its nest. I searched around and found something to give me some additional height and was, then, able to complete the formalities. Cheers for the little adventure and for the cache placement!
Lots of muggles around. Although I could see it I certainly couldn't reach it. I will be back with a ladder
I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon ??It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please ??At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfields Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place. After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So Im really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary ??I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/So TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic ??
On the way from Auckland to North we stopped here to have a look on the tree. One more second later I climb up and have sign the logbook.
Thanks vor hiding say the GeoGrillen

In Silverdale to get some stitches removed after minor surgery, and once that was over we were enjoying an iceblock with our 6 year old grandson who we were minding for the day. We knew there was a cache nearby so showed him, and he was so excited that he wanted to go find a few more. We had not done The Tree of Tuis, so headed there thinking he just might be able to help us reach that one. And it turned out to be a great way to get this cache. Grandson was chuffed to extract the cache, and we were pleased to sign this one off. TFTC. Off to the next...
A great hide and only 10 minutes walk from home. My first find in 2 years.
Thanks Sharkbait.
Thanks Sharkbait.
Found it! So many Tui’s around! Made my coffee break from work so much better. Thank you!
First item on the agenda today was to get this one. Thanks heaps sharkbait for you care with this one. A good find.
Ok so due to the last log being a DNF and there only being 2 possibilities, we have checked and confirmed the cache has been muggled.
This has now been replaced, and has a pair of eyes to gaurd it.
Happy Caching

Had the ladder and looked in all the holes and nothing in any of them. Will try again another day.
I just realised I forgot to log this one. With Nette and Supernannny heading out to Shakespear and we stopped for this one on the way. We had the appropriate TOTT which allowed the shortest of us to do the honours of signing the log.
This was the first find on our caching outing today!
With nette1234 and Merlot58 today.
Nette1234 brought the tool ...and she hopped up and did the honours for the three of us!
Luckily we read the details and came prepared with a 3 step tott
Thanks sharkbait 2013.
Many thanks....so pleased you guys have started submitting and publishing geocaches !
Cheers!

Stopped to get this one on the way back from wenderholm. Mr TW is nice and tall but still needed a boost to get to where we wanted to go. Great place for a cache. Thanks
This cache is next to my tennis club and I only live 10 minutes walk away so it was no problem to nip back for a step ladder.
Thank you from Howard and Kath

My first FTF ever, I was beginning to think I'd never manage to get to a cache before others. This morning I saw a bunch of new caches and they were all logged before lunch time, except this one. I looked again later and it was still waiting, so I knew I had to at least try.
After a job nearby, popped over to see if I could find the cache. Didn't bring a small child or step ladder, but I did have some long pliers and an old printer to stand on and this did the trick.
Thanks so much for the cache.
