Where I am lead to when I follow the cache to its final? Looks like as if it is just the right spot. Anybody below 50 years of age may hesitate but I guess I am already 5 years part of the party. However, an initial visit showed one of the sprightly pensionists to be on guard to watch out for small talk easily extended to someting no longer matching this attribute. So I decided to search other caches and check again 5 minutes ahead of the meeting time with muggle at Countdowns. Well, I was lucky. The guardian had finally retired and I could check out the place.Thx for hiding.

Parked at the supermarket and walked over, quick find while people were playing on the sports ground, but too far away to notice me. Only had to wait for a couple to walk passed, then quickly grabbed the container, signed the log and replaced.

Finally we are here in Motueka and finding this series -a good way to learn and see the town.

After finding the challenge cache on Rabbit Island and a few others, it was time to head inland off the usual route to find a whole lot more. I am enjoying seeing different scenery. Another quick find and then we left to find the next one. Apologies for the late logging.
In Nelson with TwigNZ, YetiNZ, Mr-Mcgoo for a few days of caching and meeting up with other cachers from Nelson. All logs signed as NMTY.

Kia ora rawa atu for the cache Sidewaze.

(# 7871) A caching trip to Nelson with NZ_B, TwigNZ and YetiNZ. Day 2 of a 4 day trip interspersed with exploring and humour. A quick find.

The log was signed as NuMpTY (or NMTY) for NZ_B, Mr-mcgoo, TwigNZ, & YetiNZ. Thanks for bringing me here.

Day 2 of my Nelson trip, along with NZ_B, YetiNZ and Mr-Mcgoo. This is something we planned a while back and have very much been looking forward to Smile
During our time here, all found caches were signed as NMTY (regardless of whether 2, 3 or all 4 of us hadn't found it previously), or with individual names for Challenge Caches according to whomever was claiming the find.

We had decided that we really liked the idea of heading back to Motueka today, so were happy to be taking the scenic route to make the most of the available caches to get there. Having now finally arrived in Mot, we had lots of caches to try to find. This "About Motueka" series cache was one we targeted whilst here.

A quick and easy find for us today. Nothing untoward to report with the cache or log, so everything was replaced exactly as found and we were back on our way again.

Thanks for setting this one up.

Some time ago a group of us from Wellington decided that what we should do is come down to the Nelson region for a long weekend of Geocaching. So we did. With minimal specific agendas, and lots of unfound caches in the area, the goal for this four day break is exploring, having fun, and finding geocaches. Here is one we found.

The About Motueka series were some of the many puzzles I solved in preparation for this trip, and we enjoyed ourselves exploring this small town as we chased down all the caches.

The log was signed as NuMpTY (or NMTY) for NZ_B, Mr-Mcgoo, TwigNZ, & YetiNZ

Thanks to Sidewaze for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.

[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

Found on a walk out with the dog. Thanks for the puzzle Sidewaze.

22-Apr-23
We decided on a day trip to Motueka to find numerous caches which have been published since our last trip over there. After having to abort attempts to find several it reminded us why we usually make a Motueka caching trip in the evenings.
It was on our 3rd visit late in the day before we found the area free of muggles and could make this find.
Thank you Sidewaze.

New placements kept on accumulating and against better judgement we decided to finally make a Mot run. Not that we hate going to Mot, to the contrary. However, it being muggle central after hours is the preferred option. Most finds in Mot are "night caches" and helped greatly in achieving our DGSc. We have no complaints Big Grin
Not far from GZ is a very popular spot to take the weight off and enjoy the shade. It took three tries before we could make the find just before another family arrived. With ANZAC Day coming up the place was extra well kept. The red geraniums around the memorial, from a distance, looked like poppies to me. Thank you Sidewaze

A wander around Motueka grabbing a few caches. Another one of those solved but not gotten around to puzzles. Surprisingly quiet at final. Thanks for the cache.

Back in Mot again this morning. A couple of non caching members of the family (that's everyone but me) had some shopping needs they couldn't get over the the hill. This gave me some time to find a few more solved puzzles. TFTC

Did a few jigsaws last night. Time to pick them up.

06-Dec-22
Taking a drive out to Mot to pick off some AdLabs and solved puzzles.

With only the light from my phone to work with I was worried that I might have trouble spotting the rock.

I need not have worried. Once I counted the windows correctly that is.

Signed and tucked safely away.

Thanks Sidewaze

There were a few muggles about but the cache was a quick find (thanks to the specific hint) so I don't think we looked too suss. TFTC.

#21748. We walked past the hall on our way to GZ. The face looked a bit art deco, so I thought maybe it was a memorial to WW1, so was interesting to read it was a WWII memorial. Quick find once at GZ. TFTC.

We are staying in Nelson for Labour Weekend but today is set aside to head up to Kaiteriteri, as we havent been there since 2015 we had a full day planned. Just a few in Mot before we continued on. We came from the other side so started counting the wrong end but the rock mentioned kinda sticks out like a sore thumb, so the cache was still a quick find. I did wonder if there were any people inside the building beside GZ if they could see us. Thanks for placing this cache and adding to our smilies. Smile

02-Oct-22
Finally we have made it 'over the hill' to collect a few more smiles. Solved these puzzles a while ago as well. TFTC

Another solved cache, so found a handy park and waited for the rain to ease off a bit. Headed out to make a quick grab before it came back in again, but still had to take shelter to sign the log. tftc

Good hint and easy puzzle which I love doing. Thanks for the time and effort.

Still there. Should be a quick find even if you have to check ALL the rocks Smile.

I did the puzzle easily but couldn't make the find Sad

10-Jun-22
After freeing Signal from the Forest Labyrinth, my attention turned to a couple of challenges that I don't yet qualify for. This find fills in a puzzle dot day and goes towards a challenge that I won't finish until next March (at the earliest).
Solved the puzzle a while ago and tried to find the cache before but it was missing. It's a lot easier to find when it's there.
Thanks for the fun and TFTC, Biggles.

The middle of the day on a tues was quiet, so I was able to stroll right to the correct spot and sign unseen. I'd looked briefly once before, but a little muggle pressure and all the autumn leaves left me feeling I didn't give it enough of a search to post a dnf. As it turns out, it was likely missing...
Another fun puzzle, and I'm always excited for a new local cache. Thanks very much!

I am loving this series. Pleased to find no one round very late this afternoon. Found on the second pass. TFTC # 18454

No luck today.

Quiet at GZ but lots of leaves. We make try again tomorrow.

Next time.......

09-May-22
It might be there but I couldn't find it today.

09-May-22
Nope, too hard this morning and then returned at the end of the day but someone was vaping too close to it. I think obelisk is such a wonderful word. Maybe next time. Thanks anyway.

09-May-22
Hmmm. Looks as though I must have been the 4th DNFer today. I too had to visit and revisit GZ but I think my spoil sport was on tobacco rather than vape. I replaced the missing cache as per the original hide. I'm not too sure that was the right course of action, if it's gone once I guess it could easily be moved again - - - I decided I would replace it in the same place once but if it gets nicked off with again I'll try something different.
Have expanded on the hint.

Found with no.13 on a sunny morning. Pleased not too busy here. Tftc

21-Apr-22
Out for a drive around Mot, with Agazo collecting all the new hides.
Agazo led me to GZ and then promptly set me up. I must have been almost standing on the container while I searched the “obvious” hiding place. TFTC

This proved to be the last of the caches for the afternoon as we were unable to look at the next one because of nearby work. The GPS gave us a choice of places to check before it settled at a spot where the cache was. Lots of memories of flower shows in the hall here.
Thanks.

16-Apr-22
I was passing through, so I thought I'd snag this one, too. AT GZ, I looked in a lot of clever hiding places, but found nothing. I finally looked in a not-so-clever hiding spot and there it was. TFTC.

Quick solve and a quick find. Enjoying the caches

Popped over to Mot after work for a couple of quick caches. This was the first. I remember going to the memorial hall numerous times as a kid with my grandmother for her 60+ group to play housie. Thanks for the cache Sidewaze

Tregearp and I saw that another two caches Sidewaze caches published this morning, and with a beautiful autumnal afternoon, decided to park the car at the Saltwater Baths and go for a walk to grab then both. The GZ was quite busy - but everyone was busy with their own business so it turned out to be a quick and easy find. Surprised to get a joint FTF at about 4:25 p.m. Thanks Sidewaze for another local jigsaw jigsaw and cache.
