Thanks for the Cache! Greatings from the USA. What a beautiful location. Quite a hike to get here. I can imagine how this spot must be have looked like when there was no port or tall buis.
Youngest team member had a sporting event on for most of the day and middle team member very busy with work so I took it upon myself to do the drop off and pick up and hit up the mount geocaches in between. Mission to get here. Definitely deserves the terrain rating. Well worth the views though! Took a wee bit of looking before I spied the carefully concealed container. SL. Returned as found. All good here. TFTC!!
Visiting from Nova Scotia Canada, cruising on HAL Volendam around New Zealand. Am so enjoying the scenery, TFTC
Wow, that took quite some time to find. I read and reread the logs to get a better idea of the hiding spot. After the climb, no way I was leaving without a smiley. A great morning to be out here. Just spectacular views. You can hear the birds chirping and the waves lapping the shore. TFTC, SL
Terrain rating is accurate due to the steep climb, but followed the hint and made it up with plenty of puffing and panting. Once at GZ, thought I knew what I was looking for but needed to re-evaluate to make the find. Fav point given.
Good to come back & get this cache again. I remember this hill being knarly & hasn't gotten any easier. Beautiful day for it anyway. Buzzybb got there before me so thought she would find it before I got there but no & as soon as I got to the right spot I saw the sneaky hide. Fav point just because.
What a climb up here, zig zagging our way up. Still a beautiful day for it and stunning views. I had a bit of a head start on the search before kimbathelion got up here, but her sharp eyes spotted it first. Tftc
On a outing with my farming course, since its the last day so we decided to have a beach day. TFTC
A great winters day for climbing the mount and knocking off the last ALC up here (for me) and this cache. I left the pen in the car but have sent photos to the CO so I’m logging it with their permission. TFTC - a fun climb
Been here before so knew exactly what to expect. This time though, i did follow the trailhead marker instead of making a beeline to GZ. Much easier when you follow instructions. Found the cache and sat for awhile taking up the views and just the tranquility of the location. Sure is a great view from here! TFTC!
Well that was an adventure. Started at the trailhead as suggested. Went 20 meters and promptly lost the path. Continued zig zagging up best I could following what seemed like goat trails if a trail at all. Stopped half way up to wave to my wife on the cruise ship in the harbour and marvel at the sea shells sitting halfway up a mountain. I assume the wind blows them up here. Continued on into the other paddock zigging and zagging. Until I spot my destination. Last steep climb and I'm here. Woohoo. Great view. Now to find the cache. Could I find it. No. Just a big plastic box that wouldn't open and kept distracting me. Finally gave up and messaged the owner. And wouldn't you know it I found it just as they responded. Great response time though thanks.
Next problem was the nest of spiders that had made their home in the hide. Are NZ spiders poisonous?. Gingerly removed the cache and cleaned off all the egg sacs. Finally I could sign my name. Now to find a way down. I guess rolling is out of the question.. tftc. Great job

Routine maintenance check ..the container has been broken along with the lid on the camo..replaced the container along with adding a new cover for the camo.. all good to go …enjoy…I just love the views from
A beautiful location and a Nice view, enjoyed the hike upp! The box is however broken! I put it together as good as possible, so it should hold until next log. Did not bring a pen but I hope the log can Stick anyways!

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), and my niece. We had a plan to head to an event this evening, but what to do in the meantime? Do we travel north or stay local? The weather looked likely to decide for us… We chose to stay in town and tackle the Minden Rhyolite AdLab while the rain held off.
This hide was the first stop on our list. One can visit this high vantage point five times, 10, 50, 100 times, and never get tired of the view. We jumped at the chance to come up here for another look over Tauranga, the Mount, and the wider area. This cache only adds to the experience… Thanks Macwatt and Kahluis. TFTC.

Left the track just before the water tower and took a curve around approach, rather than over the top. Got to the slip, and thought to self;
I don't remember crossing this last time? maybe a new slip or perhaps I was on a higher level?
Got to the fenceline with 50m to go, and it was all up from here.
So got to GZ, and had to think a little about what the hide might be.
Was happy to find the cache, although had a slight advantage with TMGT
Last time I climbed Mauo, the sun was slowly setting, today, in the hot sun.
Thanks Macwatt, Kahluis for the hide and the happy memories.

Using the trailhead, made the climb to GZ - as always in geocaching the direct route is not always the best route, and this was certainly the case. Interesting to see the shell middens and possible kumara pits on the way up. Plenty of people using the tracks today - surprised us a bit, with today being a Thursday. Thanks for the cache, much appreciated.
Great journey/adventure to find, definitely wasn’t leaving without the find! Very crafty
Mission to get there, wasn’t leavi NG without finding. Very clever, my 1st favourite. TFTC
This one has been on my list again for awhile. Just back from Taupo and needing a good walk so thought I would do to one on my way up the Mount I didn’t take the hard hard way but it is still a good little climb But the view is well worth it Just a reminder don’t be fooled by the nearby pest control box.
Glad to see this cache kept alive TFTC

Mr rattll had the privilege of doing this one last time, but today I accompanied him.
We walked around the base, collecting the ad lab caches, then walked up the other side. Then it was down hill from there, and quite a steep down hill it was.
We soon arrived at gz and took a moment or two to find the nicely hidden cache.
Thanks for putting this here

It feels like I had only just been up here. This time I took a steeper approach which was a tad more fun. Awesome views of the night lights as the sun disappears. A great excuse to catch up with an old friend. Thanks for the cache.
Wonderful views and a nice quick find. Have never taken that path before. TFTC
First complete day off work this week so headed over to The Mount for some caching and enjoyed a sunny winters day. Mrs Rubbishparty decided to skip this one as Mr Rubbishparty took the direct route up to GZ. Huffed and puffed before resting and enjoying the great view. Great hide that took a while to spot. Cache/log was all fine. Thanks for the smiley.

Oops, forgot to log these ones a couple of weeks ago!
We had a family get-together in Tauranga today so made sure to add a few of the new ones to the list, I remember this area from last time and that hill seems to be getting steeper... probably me getting unfit more like!
Took a few moments to click what I was looking for, well concealed hide, we would expect nothing else!

I so enjoyed this climb the first time around that I nearly did it again even without the lure of a rejuvenated cache. Best veiw in Tauranga - better even than the top of the Mount. Didn't fancy the direct route so I ambled along following various sheep tracks. Wonderful time - I wouldn't have minded even if I'd been pipped to the post. But, as an added bonus to great walk, a clean log! [FTF] 7/5/22 1.30pm. TFTC & FP
