7:52am.Checked all around the target range, just could not espy and yield this cache. My second DNF here.Shall return at a later stage.Much Obliged, - Alephroom
Located at 9:44am. #1642.Full log to follow. ! Baruch Hashem! TFTC! Much obliged for the placement Rainbow Spirit!Kindest Regards, - Alephroom.
Out chasing Rainbows with morty8888 today. In the Spirit of teamwork morty8888 allowed me to prepare a list which included 4 previous dnf caches owned by the CO. Poked around in the gabions for some time before calling it quits.
Out again with Oldmorty and we picked one of the warmest days so far this spring. With the sounds of summer ringing out, we took on RS caches. After 20 minutes of searching for this needle in a rockstack we succumbed to the challenge in the heat. TFTC!
4:27pm.An extensive search; alas, could not yield the cache.I shall return at a later date.Cheers Rainbow Spirit.Kindest Regards, - Alephroom.
Not sure if it is it or the replacement . Quick find looking in the obvious place but got hep from previous photo to know what color to look for
After searching unsuccessfully for a while. I found a container at my feet. I thought it might be the container and put a log inside it. I have checked with the CO and he said that this is not the cache. When I get a chance, I'll remove it. If anyone gets a chance, please remove it. Pictures of it are attached.
I believe this points more towards the nasty side of the scale upon judging a rating. Made the find in rapidly fading light and gladly off my map now.
Knew this one was there because of the recent maintenance log; just had to persevere through all the different ideas I had of where it was. Eventually shined my torch at the right angle and there the cache was!
Would definitely call this replacement cache a micro and not a nano - same as all the others in this series
Happy to have my name at the top of the replacement log!
TFTCRS!

Well that’s close to an hour of my time that wasn’t productive. Idk, maybe I need to spend half a day here and I could still walk away empty.
With spider webs in my hair, cleared for the night, they’ll be busy remaking them again. No such luck
Maybe it was fading light or perhaps waterflow in the past has washed away the cache or covered it. I will return.

I am gradually catching up with my logging - am currently only a month and a bit behind. But that's still over 100 caches!
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
Only a few Adventure Labs and my First2Finds have been written up in a timely manner - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
Nevertheless, I have kept up with my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Thanks to all the CO's who have made it possible to keep my goal in sight. Most of the finds have been Traditionals, but a few Puzzle series and the odd other cache type have been grabbed where possible.
Sorry the logs are very generic, but I'll never catch back up otherwise.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Headed south west for some more calendar finds today. Decided to start with a previous DNF at Abbotsbury, and then did somewhat or a circuit to snaffle an extra three.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Started here again. Got some help from the CO after my DNF and I knew exactly to which spot he was referring, but had not done more than a cursory check there - silly me. I'd been paying too much attention to another spot.
So with a more focused search I still missed the blighter on my first look. Thankfully I came back to it and actually spotted the attachment, rather than the cache.
This is a diabolical placement, and I'm not surprised there have been so many DNFs.
Signed, replaced and away to my next target.

I’m a month behind in my logging but hopefully will be up to date shortly.
Just thought I’d mention that I found this cache today. It’s still in excellent condition.

I am terribly behind in my logging. It's getting close to five months since I regularly reported on the caches I've found. YIKES! Well, at least I'm currently only 3 months behind.
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
In this time only the Adventure Labs found and my First2Finds have been written up - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
But I've been busy finally getting ready to move into our new house - now in and I'm still coming to terms with the extra room/rooms!
But I did still try to find time to cache on the days that my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day demanded I find something.
Anyway. thanks to all the CO's who are getting short shrift from my generic logs. I hope to eventually get back to them and flesh them out, but no promises.
I've found some fun Traditionals and solved some interesting, but not impossible puzzles. And Multis and other cache types have been grabbed where possible.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Need a few for the calendar so headed back to Plough and Harrow Park. Had hoped for three but DNFed one. Sigh.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
Here was the one I missed. Found a logical spot but nothing. Hint correcponds with this spot. Sigh.
Finally gave it up. Apparently it was just out of my search radius. Really should have checked there.

OC together today. Sue had her walking stick as she was still recovering from a hip replacement. Dan was wearing a neck brace after being injured whilst 'caching last week. We walked up to this cache first and were immediately perplexed by where to search. The hint seemed to be useless. After awhile, we reluctantly tried a PAF. It seemed that our etrex was 8m out. Naughty etrex. The hint now made more sense and Dan tried to look in the correct location but found nothing. We gave up and trudged back to the car for morning tea.
After making a few finds in the rest of this series, we returned with more confidence and desperation. We both managed to clamber down to the right level without mishap. Sue then searched a particular spot and managed to see what Dan couldn't see beforehand as he was hindered by his height and neck brace. This was a nasty hide. TFTC Rainbow Spirit
No patience today for either of us which meant we did but try for very long at all, even after a PAF!
#2229 [FTF] DeadThief and myself were up for a 50th at Major Oak in St Mary’s last night and staying nearby. Made the final call to attend the meet and greet event upon getting up this morning. We were aware of some potential new caches but had no expectancy beyond continuing our daily streaks. Upon approach to the parklands the Thief pointed out that one of five potential FTF’s was still up for grabs. We parked not too far away in an area that was totally foreign to us and headed to GZ. Once there we had the area to ourselves and began our search. 5-10 minutes turned up nothing and we were soon joined by more fellow cachers. We all continued the hunt and mulled over the provided clue, as well as re-checking either gps or phone to home in on the hide. Overall a potential half hour had passed before I uncovered the hide and came up with CIH. Laid claim to the find and passed the log around for all of the search party to sign. Thanks Rainbow Spirit for placing this cache and giving me the opportunity for my first outside ACT FTF.
Joint {FTF} at 10.10 with a small group of geocachers before the nearby GCNSW Event. ?? TFTC Rainbow Spirit
Arrived at the event. Parked and saw a new cache. The FTF crew were already there...
Today is about adventure. Geocaching NSW is organising an event at the western Sydney parklands and you can go up the trees after that. Found a few caches along the way getting there, did the new caches around the event and picked up another few on the way home. Great day and all caches found easily.

Found as part of a group expedition during the GCNSW High Adventures event. I particularly liked this little area and the trail leading to it. A nice little scramble down and then the nicely hidden cache was uncovered. TFTC!

Find number 6247
A joint find with Turtle284, Deadtheif, Everesthigh, PPE and Tronador.
Arrived and joined the search that was already in progress. A few minutes later the call went up that the cache was located.

Geocaching NSW hosted an event in the park, and with a group of attendees, including the CO, we also did a round through the Plough & Harrow park.
Caches were found with ease, even without a hint from the CO.
