Find number 14177 at 11:39:49am on Thursday the 26 September 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leisurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Well, WA Goes Big is done for another year and we are on our way home again now, via Perth, Kalgoorlie and the Nullarbor but slowly over the next five weeks SmileToday we are off on an LGA hunt, heading south from Dawesville and travelling through the currently unlogged LGA's of Collie, West Arthur, Williams, Boddington and Murray, plus a side trip into the Thrombolites and the giant, Jyttes Hytte. No where to park so I double parked in near the mens shed and raced across for a quick find and back before anyone knew what was going on (even the misses still sitting in the car).**Thanks for placing this cache crabzy11**---*WOW, so much happening at home in Victoria*Dont forget to log your will attend for Victorias first ever Block Party in March 2025, the [**The Sunbury Event**](https://coord.info/GCAP417).Theres also all those lists of amazing geocaches at [Geocaching Victorias List webpage]( https://geocachingvictoria.com.au/information/great-caching-lists), go check them out.

WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 45 - Collie day. It rained all night and it rained on and of fall day. I spent lots of time in the car waiting for rain to ease and way too much time running back to the car as the rain got too heavy. I am rally impressed by the ground drainage, some of the dirt tracks I went on were great despite all the rain. It was a difficult day, A few more DNFs than I would have like, but I did get to visit quite a few very interesting places and the tourist drive along the river was amazing. In the end I just went home and cooked dinner and watched TV, a bit unusual for me on a trip.Back in town and a big bit of kit in front of me, even with an idea of which one to look on, there are lots of spots. I reached in and felt all over the place. I was happy when I did feel it, much bigger than expected, but nice to find. Thanks for the cache crabzy1147634.18 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2013 Movember Green A#268**Albida**

After hunting down the caches around Cardiff we headed back into Collie for some lunch. We wanted one cache in town before we grabbed lunch and we decided on this one. I must admit it brought back some good memories hunting down this cache, I was stationed in Collie in the 90s as a train driver, they have done a wonderful job here. A brief search and the cache was spotted and we soon had our names added to your log. We returned your cache back to its place of hiding. TFTC crabzy11

A day trip to Collie and nearby areas for some smilies on our map. After Cardiff and Lake Kapwari we come into town for some lunch at the local bakery before heading towards home. A smilie for Collie with this one and thanks for this nifty hide but also showing us this wonderful historical feature of the town. Look forward to visiting again.

Today TaurusSix and I were on a mission to complete the LGA Series finally. We estimate that it has taken us six or seven goes all of which we have thoroughly enjoyed. We stayed in Boddington for the weekend and yesterday we completed the various remaining stretched from the Boddington end. Today we needed to complete the final stretch from the Williams end, Zilko Road to be exact, there were 49 left to find . We started the day with a leisurely breakfast from a lovely cafe in Booddington before making our way there. Another overcast day but a bit warmer than yesterday and not so breezy, ideal for geocaching. The final 49 caches took us just less than three hours.

A big thanks to the Fellowship Of The Trail for placing and maintaining this series for geocaching pleasure. We will add a couple of favourite points to the final few logs as a token of our appreciation.

Because we were on 49 cache finds for the day and we like even numbers we collected just the one in Collie on the way back to Bunbury TFTC Crabzy11

As I approached GZ a couple of chaps who were working on a rail truck asked me if I was looking for "That Thing". Apparently I had just missed a fellow cacher whom I passed on my way in as they were leaving. This person had given the chaps a lesson on the art of geocaching, it seems. I was disappointed not to meet this person, as I love finding other people who share my passion. This cache was found speedily.

Final day of another great WAGB weekend away and we started slowly around Bunbury meeting up with everyone to say our farewells before finishing the pack and hitting the road for home.
I took the long way home checking out next years location and grabbing caches and labs along the way.
A couple more close to home and the day was over with 15 finds, 9 adventure labs & 0 DNF’s.

Thanks crabzy11 for placing Collie railways for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 12:04 on 6/6/2022.

Thank you for the cache crabzy11!
Teamed up with ullyssia for our third day of the WAGB long weekend. Our focus today was several trails East of Bunbury and any other cache on our way to Collie for the CITO. We picked up some rubbish along the way and we had a bag full by the time we got to Collie. All the caches were quick finds. Nice to run into a few teams in our travels!

I would’ve given the Boulter Heights in Bunbury a favourite point - it’s a Banger! But was never released! It’s a heaps better than this one.

Day 7 of WAGB22 Week, out to Collie around with some more infill through Bunbury and Dalyellup.
Today amassed 57 finds, 7 FTF’s and 1 DNF (fire had been through the area)

Thanks to all the CO for setting up and maintaining their hides. Sorry about the generic logs.

How could I resist the call of "WAGB 22"

This will be 9/9 attended WA Goes BIG events for me and my daughter. How things have changed, she now drives herself to the event to get a little freedom from the foolishness now and then.

So many fond memories from all these BIG events, well done to the volunteers who put in so.much effort to make these things happen, so we can all enjoy a superb caching event.

Looking forward to what this year brings in Bunbury and the surrounding areas.
