Another one in this series, cache was easily found and is all goodOn the way home from the Capital Geobash Mega in Canberra, I had set up the night Corowa, today main aim was to finish of the remains I had left in Rutherglen and surrounds after missing the mega here last year. After completing the majority of the wherigo series, it was onto multis then ladder series before finding a few walking caches and the remains of the puzzle series. Thanks for the cache

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Wending our way towards Canberra for the Mega. Orignally we planned a whole week here to collect the most smilies we could but alas plans had to be changed and now we are in a rush, with today being our last full day here. The plan was to try and collect the letterboxes and as many of the multi's that we had started in the past few days. Of course there were various others that we came across as we toured around. TFTC Robmc Cool

mvemJsunpYep..... But not no more. There was a time when my world revolved around a big red wine bottle , but now catnap777 is the centre of my universe. The planets finally aligned for cat' and I to take on this "astranomical" series in one hit. It wouldn't be right to find these caches in dribs and drabs, as you would lose the perspective of just how mind bogglingly huge space is ..... especially when you consider these planets are just our closest neighbours. We started at Mercury and worked our way out to lonely old Pluto, but lost sight of "the Sun" somewhere after Saturn. Now if the CO wanted to add a planet from the nearest solar system to our own to this series (using the same scale), he couldn't without going off world. Earth's circumstance is just over 40,000km and the Tupperware for Alpha Centauri would have to be placed about 25,000km away. Thats 5,000km further than the furthest point on the other side of the world... and that's going around it not through it. He would have to go "Extra Terrestrial".How about it Rob? Wanna add a T/5 to the mix?TFTC&series.

It appears that this one didn’t survive the Mega event category 5 tornado as the cache attachment was lying out on the ground in the open and the container was just stuck in there in a rather undignified manner.
It was still all dry inside so at least the lid has been put back on properly.
This series reminds us of the big one in South Australia that took us on a three day drive through the desert.

In the area with AnyMules, brisal5 and 6Hinemoa2 signing all logs as BAB6 to save space in the log books or their personal stamp. This may be the ageing Bushfires last Mega as the effects of advancing MND continues to advance but as I said that after the Whittlesea Mega, we will see.
I must thank my three mates and lots of other folk for all the help that I have received over the last year or so for which I will always be very grateful. This cache was found on the 7/04 on our travels around this great area while attending the Mega Event in Rutherglen early April 2023.
I am slowly logging these caches but I don't know if I will finish only time will tell.
You never know what life has in store for you so you must expect the unexpected.
Thanks to Robmc for placing this cache.

Day 4 of the Rutherglen MEGA trip.
Out and about with biggles1024 around town, with dinner done & dusted, it was now time to find a few more caches before relaxing for the night, we had a few of the FTF EXP multi's solved so we headed for them first before making our way back to camp via a few more trads, this being one of them.

**Thanks to Robmc for placing this cache.**

**Find #5322**
**Traditional Find #3159**

Monday of the Rutherglen Mega Event. A fine but windy day and the wind was bitterly cold at times. Only one DNF today and we were able to find that on a return visit. Mostly mystery caches were found today including around six that we hadn't solved but were able to find by looking at proximity circles in Cachly and also looking for tyre tracks and cacher trails. An excellent assortment of caches and all were well placed. Apologies for this generic log but there were far too many to remember individual caches.

**Thank-you to Robmc for placing this geocache**

quick find. Logs stamped as Mystery Randoms today.
Found with JAMS (( JJ52, Allister w, Mogni, plus sir_spectre ) Mitchell&hound wasn't with us this trip) crew. All logs stamped as JAMS to save log space. This trip we are off to the Rutherglen Mega and then slowly coming back to S.A. for a total of 8 dys and 7 nights. The targets of this trip are for JJ52 to get 11 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and a few more Victorian LGA's, Allister W was targeting 17 virtuals ( or as many as he could get ) a few more Victorian LGA's Mogni to make the Rutherglen Mega her 20, 000 find and also for her to complete all Victoria LGA's, sir_spectre needs 1 more multi to get to 1000 multi's and get his Victoria LGS's down to 2 LGA's left. We got 20 or more finds in a LGA if we stayed in there over night. We also detoured to stamp any challenge caches that we were " in the general area off " and to complete that challenge before we came back to S.A. This meant that some times dirt road (s) had to be walked down because they were to wet to drive down and/or haven't been repaired since last years flooding. We started off the holiday in the rain and then that cleared up only to start raining and a overnight thunder storm but most of the trip was dry. Over 600 caches found for the trip including over 120 lab stages in that total. Got to complete the GPS Maze at the Rutherglen Mega for a 2nd time. Allister w was the team driver for all of the Victorian part of the trip. I think this was the first trip ever to Victoria that the extension pole didn't get used but the 6.2 meter ladder did get a work out.

It’s MEGA time! A long weekend full of fun, friends, events, gadgets, adlabs and entertainment.

We really enjoyed this planet series.
We found them all over a couple of days during the mega in Rutherglen.
It was a fun weekend, and we were grateful that the rain held off, although we certainly had a wind jackets on.

09-Apr-23
It was an early start to the day a couple of quick ones is Albury and then a couple in Corowa before catching up with Domsky and the Roddy’s for more adventures.

Today was my chance to finish off and clean up a lot of loose ends in town. We pretty much started at one end and worked our way around. I was in car for part and another team for the rest, I even got to play on some Escooters for most of the BBBT. It was a fantastic day for me as I got to sit back and see the sights as well as finish off different series and the ones as we passed by.

The FTF series was one we finished and the planets was another. Got in some adventure labs as we passed also. All logs were signed and the usual different coloured pens depicted on who got it first, lol. Thanks again for the hides and the puzzles.

Tripping around the Solar System with +Wife.
Another planet visited whilst geocaching in this arm of the Milky Way galaxy.

"More importantly, a towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a strag (strag: non-hitch hiker) discovers that a hitch hiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, face flannel, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the strag will then happily lend the hitch hiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitch hiker might accidentally have "lost". What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is is clearly a man to be reckoned with."

A weekend with Dino at the Victorian Mega in Rutherglen over Easter Friday to Sunday. To find lots of caches and have lots of fun. Quite rainy on Friday with a very painfully delayed trip over from
Canberra to make it here just before closing. Saturday weather was a bit nice with only drizzles now and then. Sunday is blue skies but suddenly cold. Starting to look like a lovely last day for us.
This is one of the caches we found today. Thank you Robmc for putting this one out.

#17659 - 2:50:00 PM; Day 4 of the Rutherglen Mega mission and it all started by heading down to claim a find on the Mega. It was then time to work my way through all of the gadget caches in and around the Mega site before hitting the road with Sol de lune for more adventure labs, some multis and a few others we collected along the way, before heading back to town for some lunch. Later in the afternoon, I teamed up with StrangeTrousers and iPlod65 to polish of the remaining caches in the Easter 2023 geoart series, including avenging the two DNFs from yesterday. All caches were found in good condition and replaced as found. The day wrapped up with an enjoyable evenibng of good food, fine wine and excellent entertainment. Apologies for the largely generic logs! TFTC Robmc Smile

The JAMS team (JJ52 allister w, mogni and sir_spectre) were on a road trip heading to the Rutherglen Mega event (staying in Corowa) for 3 days then winding our way home via Albury, Wangaratta, Bendigo and various other places in between. It was a great week with many more caches found than we expected. There were targeted caches, challenge caches, Ad Labs, events and various others to fulfill various statistics for the four of us. We were lucky with the weather, it rained a bit on our way over on Friday, then half a day after we left Wangaratta but on the whole it was great caching weather. We did drive a few slippery muddy roads, but nothing too bad. We also caught up with lots of people either at events or out in the field and enjoyed many great chats. All in all a fun time with lots of Victoria explored and then very tired when I arrived home. [^]Big Grin

Out with a group of South Aussies this afternoon signing logs as Mystery Randoms. Big Grin

Thanks for the cache Robmc. Smile

With Easter being a very busy time for the family this Mega was only going to be a day trip for me today. This meant a Mega early start today and a restriction on which caches I could achieve in only one day. Concentration on all the special adlabs for the mega and the Maze.
After completing the Ladder series with Dromaniax, Neville-Devil, Team Trackt and myself we were heading for the wine bottle and who new we would have to pass Jupiter to get there.

Thank you Robmc for the series

Continuing on our theme of "muddy caches we didn't get yesterday", this last planet was on our list. Geopartner was the one who did the honours as the geobrats are simply not experienced (or tall) enough to ascertain what is firm ground and what is a giant muddy. We watched eagerly from the car and had a small celebration when we saw him signed the log. Planets complete! TFTC

This is our third Mega, and we have enjoyed them all. We had driven up a few days ago and camped over the border in NSW with our geodogs Mini Michi, Teeny Treek and Gypsy Girl. Our geomobile A'Tuin provided us with a place to sleep, and we had a wonderful position just metres from the Mighty Murray.

As planned, we met with Mr Sims_Family, who claimed his 7,000th find by attending this Mega. Congratulations Eddy. Neville_devil had also made the trip up, and we planned to complete the GPS Maze, the Gadget Cache Adventure Labs and the Ladder Series and see what else we could manage.

This was one of the other caches that we found today. Our group consisted of Neville_devil, Team Trackt, Sims_Family and Dromaniax.

Thank you for this Traditional cache Robmc.
