Logs
We are archiving this cache as we are no longer able to maintain it and it seemed to go missing regularly.
The fourth time this on has gone missing. Looking to move it to somewhere less accessible to muggles
Had a DNF on this earlier this year when the cache was missing. After catching up with the COs at the weekend I was prompted to have another look for the replaced cache. It was very quiet here this morning probably due to the school holidays, so a quick find this time.
With my little buddy George who had found it while climbing the tree and needed someone to log it. Yay!
Cache has been replaced with a smaller container and camoed so hopefully won’t be muggled again. It has been attached to the tree so please be careful with the line as it’s quite fragile.
Either we've lost our geo skills, we can't id Pohutukawa, or the cache has gone walkabout. Not sure today which it could be.
I came to New Zealand with my wife on honeymoon
It is hard to log all the caches, I found here in New Zealand, so excuse my mass log for caches around Orewa, please
At first i started with caches around Estuary Cycleway, then to Red Beach, Hatfield´s Beach, Millwater and Silverdale. Some of the caches are now disabled as i can see, and some of them were disabled, but were on place.
After consulting with owner I made maintanance on some of disabled and missing caches.
I found many really nice caches...it was awesome, but i think, that some of them (for example Bison caches) have too low D/T combos...but owners are really helpful, so I managed to find each of them. I usually borrowed bike from my brother in law and then in the early morning, or in evening went geocaching. I really liked that routine. So I´m really thankful for all the caches on/near Estuary
I need to write here, that I really like nature in NZ...its a big difference between Europe :/
So – TFTC, guys, and especially The Wonder Stuff for placing and G-2 for placing and hints...and sry for mistakes in my poor English...have a nice day(s) there and u should come to find some caches here in Slovak Republic

I am up in Orewa this afternoon to take a walk around the Orewa River Estuary via the Te Ara Tahuna Estuary Cycleway and Walkway. With that completed I decided I had time for a couple more caches. This was the last find of the afternoon. I parked up on Riverside Road, crossed the road and entered this reserve. A short walk and I was soon at the obvious GZ where I was able to execute a super quick find. Right, time to hit the road back home. Cheers for the cache placement!
Replaced container and put in new log. Beware that with all the recent rain the ground is quite soggy. Please cover well when replacing.
Found it on the ground away from the tree so after signing the log I replaced it to where it should be
Found it! It was just on the ground, looked like it had blown out of the tree. The log inside is all filled up with names.
We were in the area today for M13 and after M24 had meet the cache owners the day before at Gorbys event and they had mentioned their cache. No time like the present, thanks guys for this hide.
After doing a few caches along the estuary walkway we headed inland for one more. Wandered in to Grant Park and had a quick find at the christmas tree. Thanks.
Thanks and Congratulations guys for putting out your first geocache for us all to find!
Lovely to meet you both at a couple of Geocaching Events recently.
Up here today with nette1234 , and this cache was on our To Do List.
Easy find...covered it a bit better than we found it..

Quick park walk and grab this morning. No one around and a nice place to come. Thanks
My boy was having an explore around the play equipment and came across a cache. We googled what it was and the concept seems like a great bit of fun and we're both looking to hunting some more down together
Whats that a geocache published and still not an FTF logged after an hour??? Quick everyone in the car!!
Off we raced checking as we went to see if it had been logged yet, excitedly we wondered if any of the cars around us were heading for the cache as well.
After a tense car ride M and I found it and logged his first FTF and my second.
