(10431) A trip to the outskirts of Palmy today to grab a few caches. A nice warm, dry day for caching. Soon spotted the cache. No problems as the park was empty. Thanks pgcnz for taking the time to place the cache and for bringing me here.
Despite my phone gps being erratic, using the map was good enough for another find approaching my 3000!TFTC
Another cache down for the day while on a caching spree with [@sammyboi4512](https://coord.info/PR1Q8KV9) and etherfather. Thanks for the cache.
EtherNonBinary wanted to go bush during the school holidays to find some caches. They invited a Scouting friend to join us to get his numbers (and experience) up. We started on the trails through Summerhill and now we're heading back into town for the lunchtime Meet&Greet event. Easy find thanks to the clear hint
Maintenance check. The cache is there, but it had rolled or been blown about a metre. Reinstated with a piece of brick to weigh it down. Also on my walk I found a painted rock, apparently in memory of a four-legged friend. So I added that to the weight; maybe they will be the guardian of the cache.
Nobody around the park today so I took the opportunity to find this one. Nice quick find, thank you.
Geocaching wasn't on my agenda today, but I had to come into this area so I could get my cornet looked at before going on a band trip to New Plymouth tomorrow. I ended up with a bag of 5, so I am pretty chuffed. Thanks pcgnz for this cache. I love the size.
Mr Tom took me out caching this morning. We've found a couple so far, but I'd like a swing or a slide. He told me that this next one is at a park, so I got excited! But it didn't have anything to play on It's as bad as the time that EtherDad took us to a **car** park! [:(!]Oh well, home time now so that we can go to the coffee event [^]
It's a long weekend and I never spend a long weekend at home, so I headed up to Etherlord's to make a proper start on the shield series, something I had been meaning to do for a long time now.But that is tomorrow. Today Ethermiss came out to join me for an early morning geocaching trip through Poutoa Reserve. This is the last one. Ethermiss was hanging out for a playground and I thought there was a chance of being one here, but alas, no. There was a nice easy cache though!
The container has gone. It looks like the planting has been tidied recently and it was probably cleared away. Replaced with a screw-top camo'd container repurposed from another local geocache Cryptonomicon.
Lovely park to stop and for the kids to play on a long drive. Alas no pen so photo for proof.
I need a couple of caches today for my 6th loop of the calendar. This one was enroute to a Large cache I'm targeting. Interesting hide technique. Plain paper log's a bit scrappy. TFTC
On our long term trip from Germany to Western Australia / Tasmania / New Zealand for about 3,5 month, we drove trough NZ and picked up some cachesThis one was a quick found. TFTC
Thanks for an easy find. Did take some time as at first thought someone had just dumped stuff and I'm not a fan of bugs but we persevered and found it
Overlooked the first stage of camo here, but after a search that took a little longer decided to take a closer look, and discovered what I was looking for......Day 2 of our caching trip to Palmerston North area with HeMaLuDy, UncleSamNZ, Keylev, and myself, signing in as SEAC or TEAM SEAC to save logbook space. A big thanks to all the CO's for cache placement and maintenance, making this trip the success that it was.TFTC.
A nice quick find here following the hint and co-ords. Kept out of sight of some other park users.A small group of us from Team SEAC consisting of Keylev, Stik-A-Crane, Uncle Sam and ourselves had come down from Auckland to spend the long weekend caching in the Manawatu area. The plan was to get as many as possible. Along the way we had some great adventures, many laughs, met some interesting people and found a wide selection of caches. Signed SEAC to save space on the log. TFTC.
Day #2 of the Team SEAC extra long weekend little road trip for Labour Weekend.Nice quick find here out of view of the couple of muggles in the park. Thanks for the cache.
Small group of caching buddies drove down from Auckland for the long weekend, and headed for Palmerston North area. Sorry for the generic posts, but we had so many caches to find.Had a great time, with so many laughs. Thanks to all the Cache owners who placed the caches. All logs signed "SEAC" or "Team Seac"
I never did find the previous iteration here, despite a couple of attempts. All good today whilst avoiding some playing muggles en-route. Cache was nice and dry under a pyrex dish! Nice camo!!
An exciting day for our family today, our daughter is getting married at Roseburn Park and I get to give the bride away, yay! I was told to be there for 1200 and had my son and his baby along for the ride so had resigned myself to no caches. But, when I got there and dropped them off I wasn't needed for an hour or so, and was in my casual clothes, so . . . .yep, time for a couple of local caches. I eyed up some on the Pahiatua Track road but decided to head back towards town for some nearby treats. Just the four and an itch was scratched, thanks to the COs.

After a bad day at work thought a couple of hours of caching may made things best. Good to have the long evening and managed to find 8 caches and 1 DNF. Intriguing container. Happy to find a trackable which I took. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
Took a second look, wasn’t what I was expecting. Now I really should go and chauffeur the GF TFTC pgcnz!
Nice quick find, even in the dark. Dropped off Honey to continue on the journey. TFTC
Tidied up log was a mess, and not nicely together, now looks better. Quick park & grab only saw 1 person leaving the area as I arrived so easy to get on a Sunday morning. TFTC
Found with ruthy100 we got a bit lost getting to GZ because hole maps was playing up, nice camo cache logs were a bit funny found a gat in the rain to find this TFTC! TNLNSL
After doing the nearby adventure lab cache and stopping for a warm drink it was time for some more caching. An easy find in an empty park. TFTC.
After taking hubby to work this morning, and being over this side of town, decided to walk the Tane steps and then extend my walkway beat to Peren Park & look for this cache. All good here with the cache, a muggle free zone for dog walkers, retirees and children using the park swings etc.
A nice quick find here.
The playground near by looks like it would be fun for my kids sometime.
T F T C pgcnz.
I was in Palmerston North for the morning so I identified a couple of groups of caches to find.
Another day another eight finds and two Adventure Lab Cache stages - odd coincidence that I've done that many two days in a row. Today I added a DNF thigh so not exactly like yesterday. Also unlike yesterday it was drizzly instead of sunny.

Yes i re visited peren park since i was in the area after achieving the multi FTF out this way I remeber the original cache out here , i had to do a loop around the aprk as elderly gentlman from the retirement village across the road , was sitting on the seat as part of his fitness walk . but it was a very quick locate, sign and replace on my second circuit around the park I took nothing and left nothing . thank you for this cache
After doing a few A.L caches I had enough time to look for a few Trads before heading south. No trouble here. Not sure what the tin of Tuna is all about. TFTC
Found it!
Off for a walk with the hound around Summerhill to collect Seagnoid's nearby mystery cache (GC4XA6B). Perfect time for a walk around after all the rain we've had this week
Quick find, a couple of mini muggles in the playground but they were too busy to notice me slinking around the bushes
Thanks:)

Found on a quiet afternoon walk. Sorry the previous cache went but thanks pgcnz for this quality replacement. The trees and shrubs are certainly maturing now, and the seat is appreciated.
We went there twice and we found it on the second time I really like geocaching
I hadn't been out on a pure day of caching for a little while, so decided to indulge myself today. There have been quite a few new caches published in and around Palmerston North in the last couple of months, with varying degrees of success. I figured I would like to try to find as many of these new ones as possible as, based on the small sample of them I found last weekend, I'm not convinced of their longevity.
This cache was not one of those I need have been concerned about, but it was a Green Dot on my map so I was going to stop here anyway. As I parked up and approached GZ I had a large dose of Deja Vu. I'm sure I've been before, many years ago. Ahhh, i now see why. Sorry to hear that the old cache disappeared but happy that you've brought out a replacement for it.
No issues here at all today, and I was soon back on my way again.
Thanks for bringing me here today.

#11,070. I was back up again in Palmerston North this weekend to find a few newly published caches. I need these for a challenge series I am working on. I parked nearby and walked across to GZ. There were a few kids playing in the reserve but none were close to where the cache is hidden. I checked the hint and this helped make a quick find. I signed the logbook and returned the cache as found. Thanks pgcnz for hiding it here.
Thanks pgcnz for this cool cache at a fun playground and peaceful seat looking across the park.
My kids are fairly full-grown but the 15y.o was still happy to accompany me this evening to play here and then he sat as lookout while I signed the log

Second of three caches I need today, quick find. Picked up a TB, Thanks pgcnz for the cache.
I am making a conscious effort to tick off dot days this year and this new cache was nearby somewhere I was visiting for work. A quick find of a well stocked cache. TNLN.TFTC.
Working from my Dad’s villa in Summerset village I checked to see if there were any caches nearby I could grab at lunchtime. Lo and behold - a new one only 126m away!
I hotfooted it over and signed, then returned to enjoy my delicious lunch. TFTC!

We come this way quite often these days so stopped off on our way home late this afternoon. It was quiet in the neighbourhood. I clearly remember when all this area was Massey farmland so it’s not surprising that the choice of the Peren name comes from that close association.
A few children were finishing up their play in the nearby playground and soon headed off home and I had the park to myself. Mr G had waited in the car while I made the find, which was quick and straightforward. However I then had trouble with my arthritic thumb joints when trying to open the container holding the log so I took it back to the car and Mr G obliged. So there was a bit more walking back and forth than intended! TFTC pgcnz
