I set the alarm for 3.30am this morning to allow 15mins wake up time before the half hour journey to drop my kids off at the airport.I then thought I'd try the electric highway cache near the shopping centre near the airport. I've been there many times but there's always been cars parked there so I've never hunted for the cache. I was very pleased it was empty this morning so I could tick that cache off.I then checked my emails and got excited by the possibility of an ftf hunt out Henderson/Swanson area. With them found I picked up a few others while I was out this way.I was beginning to feel my early start so headed back to Mum's apartment in Parnell for breakfast and a nap. Refreshed slightly I visited the Grandkids in Stanmore Bay and dropped off forgotten bits from their recent trip north. With them being under the weather I didn't stay too long hoping not to catch their bugs.Hoping to bring todays tally up a bit I targeted this area. I parked up in the nearby road and enjoyed a stroll along here. Some very flash houses and boats. A quick find here as I watched a boat go out. Thanks for your caches out here Smile

¯_( ͠• ͜ʖ ͡•)_/¯ After bringing myself along to Gulf harbour on 3 buses, I decided a good walk would bring me some caches. I did have in mind though one particular mystery cache for a dot day of those, but this cache was in an excellent place, those little suckers just go anywhere, and this was no different. No matter where you take a foto around here, it's going to be nice, lucky people who can afford to live here with their boats.

After our epic morning caching at Shakespeare Regional Park, we stopped at the nearest cafe to refuel ourselves; which turned out to be at Gulf Harbour. What a lovely area we said. There's bound to be some caches here we said. So refreshed and re-energised, off we set again. We hadn't gone far when our instructions said STOP. And because we were new to the area we had actually read the instructions! So we stopped and we saw straight away, thanks to the good clue. Cache is all good. TFTC

I always enjoy coming back and visiting places that I haven't been to for a while. It also really makes it loads more fun when there are bunch of new caches since I was last in the area, so having parked up at the marina for the evening, I came for a wander. Thanks so much G2 for another great hide, TFTC

So today a crowd of 14 Team SEAC members encompassing 10 different caching names travelled north to the park and attempted all caches in the park. Logs were signed SEAC to save space. The weather today was perfect. After the park we found a few more caches in the area. Another nice quick find with so many people looking.

FTF with NZT

A group from Team SEAC decided to have a day trip around the Whangaparaoa, in particular clearing out Shakespear Regional Park. It was a stunning day, and as this was about the fourth attempt at doing this day out (thanks covid), we were very lucky. A couple of us decided to leave the others to do the bigger walk, while we took a more gentle walk. Mrs NZT and I (Mrs LiverBird from LiverKiwi) were over in Okoromai Bay having just walked over from Army Bay. We had decided to take the dog for a walk along the beach then head off to find a coffee. Next thing our phones started going crazy with messages from the rest of Team SEAC up at Shakespear. Quick, go, go, go - FTF at Gull Harbour. We'd just been talking about taking a drive down to Gulf Harbour to get our coffee. This made us walk a little faster - unfortunately the dog decided he didn't want to walk faster and couldn't sense our urgency to get moving when there was so many new things to sniff and check out. With the dog safely in the car we headed off to Gulf Harbour - I have only been there a handful of times, and it was Mrs NZTs first time, so it took us a couple of attempts to find the correct road (maybe we should have checked the map first...). Finally we arrived, parked and headed off along the track figuring that maybe if we were lucky, we would get a STF, not thinking for a moment that the FTF would still be up for grabs! But imagine our surprise when we opened the cache to find an empty log book. Log quickly signed, we set off along the pathway in search of the next FTF. Thanks G-2.

Taken Geodog for a wander around here and do some caching prior to the whole Team SEAC team tackling Shakespeare Regional Park.

AND THEN the releases came out. DARN completely other side of Peninsula, so trek back to the car. Took a bit of time to get close to GZ and all the time in the back of our minds was that someone else may have claimed this.

Walked to GZ made the find and were rewarded with a Blank Log. Joint FTF with LiverKiwi

{FTF} 271 for Team NZTravellers Geodog also starting to rack up a few FTFs as this was his 5TH!!!!!

07-May-22
Headed up this way today after one of our group suggested (for the fourth attempt) to take a walk around the park....as we had camped up here a few times before, we jumped at the opportunity, plus it was an opportunity of catching up with the group after being locked down by Covid-19.....parked, and headed into the park.
Now out of the park collecting nearby caches....

This one came out whilst we were in the Park, and we knew others were going to be much quicker to this than us for the FTF.

Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space.

TFTC.

After a morning of caching in Shakespeare Park some of the team SEAC team continued on caching as it turns out well into the night!!

We had seen this published as we were in the park so no chance of a FTF for us walkers but for LiverKiwi and Mrs NZT who were in the general area it was fair game and they made the find.

After finding the other new one we continued on the path and Mrs HeMaLudy did the honours here.

Thanks for the cache.
