Did your Pier Pressure AL- Bonus Cache today. 23 October 2024 1:36 pm Tyfc TeamJLBL total caches now 7050 .
Hurrah! I received a message from the COs to inform me that this cache was back in play. I stopped by after dropping two iTEEM members at the marina for a whale watching cruise. It still took me a minute or two to locate the unusual little container after widening my search from the most prominent host. TFTC and the associated tour of the piers
Found the replacement cache near where the final co-ordinates say. Thanks for maintaining this cache.
A pleasant afternoon collecting caches and AdLab info. It was becoming a little gloomy at GZ by the time we arrived. We searched a few likely spots, and read a number of previous logs. The lack of a hint and a curious terrain rating conspired to leave us empty -handed today.
Unfortunately the cache had gone missing due to council cleaning the area. New container in place now.
We drove to each site and answered all the questions correctly, an enjoyable way to spend an afternoon with ShepAus
Loved the adlab and this bonus. Took way longer than intended. A hint would have been appreciated. Tftc

A wandered town today doing one waypoint with my grandson, three on my own before lunch and the last for sunset.

AustraliaA country that has fascinated me for a long time. But the distance to get there was just as great as the desire to drive there. So it was dreamed but not implemented. But then our friend nalfion moved again. And this time to Down Under. That gave the go-ahead to plan a little more firmly for the first ideas and fantasies. The bosses were asked about a longer vacation and then we went to the travel agency with our rough ideas. For such a complex thing we wanted to have support. And after a few appointments there, the basic structure was in place.During our summer holidays we went to Sydney via Singapore, where we spent 2 days. 2 days in Sydney city and then we went with a small camper van with the whole family via Katoomba to Cairns. Our friend lives in Adelaide so ended up staying there for a few more days at the hotel before heading back to Germany without any lengthy stops via Melbourne and Singapore.A wonderful holiday that at least brought us a little closer to this huge country and gave us many great memories. Now we spend a few days in Urangan/Hervey Bay to make a day trip to K'gari. We we also had a beach day here to explore the town and find some caches. After the Lab Cache it was time for this little Bonus. But we had fun, so thanks for the cache.
Dropped Mrs Snakepitter off at the Dentist and went and completed the AL, grabbed the last point for the bonus and worked out the GZ and off I went. I was a little concerned at the GZ, as there was a large tree lying on the ground at GZ, luckily it was not the tree that I needed.
Retrieved the container, signed and replaced. When I got back to Mrs Snakepitter she was not happy, (less one lower tooth).
Thanks TeamJLBL for the caches.

6:51:00 AM. Somehow when looking at the AL I missed the stage on the Pier so had to walk it again. A beautiful morning for it and then once completed back at camp worked out the final numbers. Out for a walk with the better half and our geo dog to grab this cache. Log signed. Thanks for the cache TeamJLBL
Found after a long hot walk along pier. Great walk though, always something to look at. TFTC
Found by Mary and David at 12:10. A long time since we clocked up more than 11,000 steps by lunchtime. Really enjoyed the various piers and groynes. Another FP. A quick find at GZ this time. Our thanks to TeamJLBL.
Great adventure lab. Loved the walking/scooting tour of the esplanade on a very rainy weekend. Thanks for the bonus.

On our day trip to Hervey Bay and on completion of the Adventure Lab, we headed off to look for this one. This beautiful town is a busy place during the school holidays so we always used stealth when searching around.
Thanks TeamJLBL for the good hide here where we enjoyed a quick find

The turmoils wanted to shop. I wanted to clean up the urangan end of Hervey Bay. So a compromise was made. They are at the shopping centre, I am cleaning up my map.

Headed to Hervey Bay for a week to see the kiddos and there's not many around Hervey Bay I haven't found. We did the Adventure Lab last time we were up and it was good to finally grab the bonus nice and early in the morning before a run along the water front.
Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **TeamJLBL**

We are staying in Maryborough and today we have decided that we would head to Hervey Bay to find a few caches and trying to avoid the heat. We enjoyed our walks to the waypoints checking out the kids that were jumping from the piers and the people who were fishing.

Hi there TeamJLBL, we found your cache Pier Pressure AL- Bonus Cache today.
We started the day off by nominating a cache cluster in an area we would like to visit, and then took a route that was determined (mostly) by the next closest cache as determined by our GPS.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area and ended up finding a variety of container types, sizes and ratings.
Coordinate Accuracy: We found this cache close to where our GPS said we should be looking.
Cache Condition: Good.
Regards
Ian & Penny

After finishing the very nice Pier-Labs I went to the Bonus. I had to use the mobile-torch the locate the container. It was already dark in the evening.

Forgot to log this after the adventure lab. Very cool, enjoyed walking all the piers. Happy to find and actual cache at the end too.
We enjoyed the Ad Lab with its walk out onto each of the piers where we could admire the scenery. A tough hide on the bonus.
A favourite from us for the Lab.
Our time at Hervey Bay is coming to an end. We will leave quite a number of caches unattempted, but we have enjoyed our time here. Magnificent coastal scenery and a good variety of caching in both hides and types.
Today we focussed on the remaining Ad Lab as we worked our way along the Esplanade. Missed a few because of muggles but really enjoyed the area. Thanks to the local cachers for n excellent time.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache TeamJLBL.

TFTC! A nice little stroll along the esplanade to this hide. Thanks for showing me all the piers of Hervey Bay!
TFTC. Wouldn’t have come here otherwise. Nice park too. And thank you for the AL series.
On my way from Canberra to North Queensland with a few detours for shires. TFTC.
A good fun cache doing all the piers. Quiet day with lots of tourists.

Staying a week in the Maryborough and Hervey Bay area and hoping to find lots of caches and see some interesting spots. Thank you to all the CO's who placed and maintain the caches in this area - it is appreciated.
Out caching in Hervey Bay. After finding the Lab Caches (thanks for the walk on Urangan Pier (lol) it was then off to find the Bonus Cache. A quick find. Giving a FP due to the Lab Cache and making us walk the piers and Groyne
A delightful and enjoyable set of locations for this Adventure Lab. We enjoyed it very much. Thank you for making () us walk out all the piers and groynes. It’s wonderful to get the different perspective of the coast that you see when you walk out over the water. Having taken notice of the hints given we were able to make a quick find at the GZ location.
Cheers and happy caching!
Cheers and happy caching!
We used our 3rd day in Maryborough to check what has changed in Hervey Bay since January.
We have only a few caches left here ... and 2 Adventure Labs came up.
Life (and language) is a long life learning process: today I learned that I was twice on a groyne.

Catching up with a missed log from our trip last year.
Having made plans for catching up with friends in Hervey Bay today we didn't have a lot of spare time available so we certainly did the new adventure lab cache since our last visit and anything else that was close by.
We enjoyed collecting the ad lab stages as we made our way along the esplanade on a beautiful sunny day. When we had finished the lab we were rewarded with the co-ords for this bonus cache. We made our way to gz where the cache was found quickly and our name was added to the log before we returned everything as it was.
Thanks TeamJLBL for the cache.

Came down to the Bay today to get this one and another one. Gathered all the required information from the 5 waypoints of the Adventure Lab and then made our way to GZ in the rain. great Adventure Lab. TFTAL TeamJLBL
TFTC. We were in Hervey Bay this afternoon to pick up our coffee machine after having it repaired. Coincidently we also needed a mystery cache type to fill in a missing date on our non-traditional (mystery) calendar. We had previously visited w of the piers . Today we completed the AL and then a short drive to the calculated GZ. A quick find , log signed and returned.
We are spending 2 nights in Hervey Bay as we make our way home slowly from the Townsville Mega Event.
We stopped & visited the 5 different piers over the 2 days. Today we finished collecting all the information to look for this bonus cache. After a short drive we reached the final GZ & make a quick find.
Hubby enjoyed riding his bikes along the piers & surprisingly he managed to spot a white pointer while doing this AL. A favorite point for the wonderful scenery along the esplanade.

We knew the AL had no finders but hadn't realised it was so new the Bonus hadn't yet been published. Oblivious to that, we wandered up and down HB's piers. Without a doubt, Urangan Pier is the star of the AL in our opinion. With the fishermen, walkers and sight see-ers, it's long enough to be a community of it's own.
It was after doing the AL we tried to find the Bonus... Luckily the AL description had enough to work it out. Sweet! a FTF about 580kms from home. TFTC TeamJLBL.
