On a road trip together with -moge-; across New Zealand; from Cape Reinga to Stewart Island; up, down, right, left ... So much to see, so much to experience. So many great, and sometimes old, caches! But I can hardly keep up with the logging. Far too exhausted from all the experiences. I am sorry that it will now be a standardized log for some founds. This place was one of my top3 to see in NZ. I was so happy that we could manage it, even the tide was not perfect. But I enjoyed it a lot.

Hello drawp,Another day, another Cache.Together with Dr Donna travelling through New Zealand. We arrived at Auckland Airport and made our way up north. After visiting Cape Reinga we went on our way South to reach Stewart Island with stops in many different Citys all over the country. Of course we have an open eye for nice Caches but take what we can get. Today we came across your Cache "Moeraki Boulders (North Otago)" and signed the logbook with our names or took pictures for Virtuals and Earthcaches. Its great how many nice spots we are able to discover through our journey and how many of them we only See because of Geocaching! Thanks for bringing us to this place and takeing care for the geocache. Liebe Gre und vielen Dank fr die Hege und Pflege deines Traditional Cache! -moge-#############Der Cache "Moeraki Boulders (North Otago)" von "drawp" war fr mich Cache 6676. 12:13FITW ObnoxiousSpaceCatThe very popular carpark was completely deserted today to my big surprise. Absolutely no one here but us. I do assume that most visitors to the boulders go to the carpark next to the restaurant.Cache was located quickly and our feet stayed mostly dry except for a little step into aome sort of a liquified quicksand.Kia ora! Paldies! Thanks for the cache, drawp!#11527

Day 2 in New Zealand GCoven raced off in front to grab this one. My first overseas trip ever started off eventful with my tree fishing pole joining me in Brisbane after deciding not to travel on my flight. Virgin staff made up for their boo boo, so my adventure could continue stress free but making for a long day Day 1 involved my first FTF in another country, another webcam under my belt, a few virtuals and a couple of favourites. Thanks drawp for placing this Traditional for me to convert into a smilie

A nice quick find near where we parked for the boulders. A few holes to watch out for walking to the cache site but I successfully avoided them. A lovely day for caching but I was very tired from my caching efforts on previous days so didn't get as many as I would have liked. Thanks for this one!

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we took the bus from Christchurch via Oamaru and Moeraki to Dunedin. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndy

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

Three weeks 3?? travel with a group of 38 people through Australia ???? and New Zealand ????. We want to discover some old geocaches, wants to see lots of sightseeing-points ??, but also animals such as penguins??, turtles ??, whales ??, Koalas ??, dolphins ?? and much more in the beautiful water ??? or on land ??. Of course, a cacher trip ?? also includes many geocaches. So we also chose this cache Moeraki Boulders (North Otago), searched for it, found it and logged it ??. He has made our journey through two wonderful countries very embellished. We often logged with our group name "Team Downunder 2024".Thanks ?? to drawp for laying and maintaining this geocache, say the Brummelbren ?? from Worms/Germany ????

Day 6: The Road to OamaruTodays journey was a long one, bringing us from the South up to the northern part of Otago, via Middlemarch. Todays blustery conditions added to the fun and challenge of finding caches, though otherwise the weather remained perfect. The highlight of the day were the Sutton Salt Lake cache and the Moeraki Boulders, and both did not disappoint. Thanks to all the COs for making this leg of the journey an enjoyable one! (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache:A short detour before descending to the beach to see the Moeraki Boulders. The cows were really interested in me looking for the cache and the whole herd of them watched me signing the log. Well, at least they wont muggle the cache! TFTC!

One of several caches located today on my drive from Dunedin to the Moeraki Boulders. This one was only a short distance from where I was parked up for the night. It was a quick find and, a few metres further on, it was a pleasure to stand at the edge of the beach and see the tide almost at its peak. That’s what stopped me getting to the boulders this afternoon, meaning that I would have to delay visiting them till low tide later the next morning. #6244. TFTC.

Find #7196
Found on March 18, 2023

We are from Abilene, Texas, USA and have come to New Zealand to visit with a friend. We have gotten ten different Cache Types and will get the 11th Type (Webcam) when we go to Christchurch on Monday. Today Bitsprayer is taking us out to find more caches around Oamaru.

Thank you, drawp for placing this cache for all to find. We sign log sheets either as Love Cachers or LCers.

Driving over 50 miles to have...
Rusty barbed wire ripping through your clothes...
Curious rattlesnakes that come out of nowhere...
Itchy mosquito bites on every inch of your body...
A 40 mph wind gust blowing sand into your ears, nose and mouth...
Cactus needles getting stuck deep in your hands, arms and legs...
Thorny Mesquite trees scratching you up from head to toe...
Some or all of these things on a hike through 101° heat...
To sign your name or trade a toy...
SOUND LIKE FUN TO YOU?

It does to us, we're geocachers in West Texas! - {Taken from a Greater Abilene Association geocoin.}
