In Young for an afternoon meeting. Quick stop here for one and only one cache as the tree climb is too hard in business clothes. Made this one harder than it needed to be too. Should've trusted my caching instincts and not tried to go under the bridge. Thanks for a beautiful spot and quiet.
DNF on my first Geocache attempt in Young while travelling through.... I believe I know where it was - but my 'old knees' wouldn't let me get down to get
Tftc, Lou and Paul from the Blue Mountains NSW. Travelling with Savannah. Cache in good order.
Getting down low with my well-used pair of knees is not easy, or fun...but this was a fun find. Have a fave point for the beautiful location...and the town with the cool trig station on top of the silo. TFTC
With dot558 after having coffee nearby suited the van to closer carpark only to find I was already there (around corner)Grab a smiley Thank you
After the near by tree climb, we manouvered over to this one. quick case of elimination and it was soon found. lots of spider webs. TFTC.
We were enjoying a coffee when I realised that this cache was less than 80m away! A relatively fast find thanks to the T rating. TFTH
After a brief search and a level change we located this cache in good order. This is a nice little park and if we had of been here earlier we would of loved to sit for a coffee and a bite to eat.TFTC.
I am sure I was in the correct place with quite a bit of steel about to attach a magnetic cache. I searched the structure for a while, but ran out of time as I had to go pick up my geo wife elsewhere. Thanks for bringing me here.
We found your cache today 13 March 2024 10:56am , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC FerylEdit... coords were out by 4 metres.
Searched high and low, had to luck with this one either... may need to get this one checked!
I could not find it in the rocks,I could not find it in my socks,I looked here, and I looked there,But I could not pull it from the air.I could not find it on the barrier,My wife got tired and I had to carry her,I looked around, where could it be? I even tried to climb a tree!I tried searching in my house,I tried searching with a mouse,I searched and searched, here and there,But it seems it isn't anywhere.
Unfortunately for bunadoorian and I today we couldn't find this one. Looking high and low on the magnetic thing. Extending our search - it wasn't to be for us. Thank you for bringing us here to this lovely spot.
A short walk from my accommodation, and once GPS settled down had me spot on cache location. Now to reach it. Not too difficult as GZ was muggle free. A lovely oasis in town, thanks.

My Second attempt at this one and after unsuccessfully trying to find the other cache in the rocks eventually found the Feryl's replacement about 8 metres from my indicated GZ.
Thanks

#21221. Day 7 of our escape into NSW. Last full day of our holiday before making our way home tomorrow. Took the opportunity to do a rather large round trip from Temora to Young and back collecting caches as we discovered them along the way. A great day to see so many jet streams looking like giant pick-up sticks in the skies. Good to have more blue skies and sunshine.
This one was replaced just after our last visit in May so we had to come back and try again. Bingo, got it this time.
Thanks Feryl

The last day of setting off north with BettyBoo3747 and geodoggies.
The weather in Beechworth has been far too damp and cold for caching!
Today we started in Temora and drove to Young, doing a loop back.
Another lovely blue sky and sunny day.
We noticed that this cache had been replaced so when we arrived in Young, we popped down to the park.
A quick find this time.
Thanks, Robmc.

I went to Young on Monday and had a great day caching and enjoyable breakfast at a local bakery. Today I had to go back to get my coat that I left at that bakery. Oh well, it is a nice town, even if it was a lot wetter today. I was a little fortunate I had not done all the caches on my last visit, so I select one left and paid a visit. The park was empty, probably due to the rain, but the river was noisy over the rocks under the bridge. I was happy to not take too long to find the cache here and I could get back on the road.
Thanks for the cache Feryl

The road stretched out before us, an endless ribbon of asphalt disappearing into the horizon as we embarked on a long journey from Newcastle to Melbourne. Armed with snacks, good music, and a spirit of adventure, we set off early in the morning, ready to tackle the 15-hour drive.
Our next destination was Cowra, a place that carried a poignant reminder of Australia's past. A tapestry of colors greeted my eyes as I strolled along the winding paths, bordered by an array of trees and plants from around the world. The Arboretum was a living testament to the power of nature's diversity, showcasing a harmonious blend of native Australian species and exotic botanical treasures. Thanks for the cache Feryl.

Coming back through Young after another busy weekend banding at Weddin Mountains (about 250 birds banded). Front has come through so cold and wet in town. Coffee first and then time to avenge the DNF here. No one about so time to explore - GPS hazy here but found in the second spot I searched - happy with that.

I decided on a trip over to Young for some shopping, today. While having lunch, I saw that this cache had been replaced. So, once again... for the fourth time, I am back to try and find this cache. Unlike my other attempts, after today's attempt, I could leave with a . A nice quick find for this one today. TFTC
Apologies for the delay in performing cache maintenance! I had tried a couple of times to find the replacement cache that somebody had placed without contacting me, but to no avail. So I’ve replaced it with a different type of cache in a very close location (although quite a different hide!). Enjoy!!
A trip to Perth checking out some of the awesome places along the way in ACT, NSW, outback Qld and NT. Grabbing some old caches and missing LGAs. TFTC.
Nice quick find and sign.

We have definitely lost our caching mojo! Fourth DNF in a row on our very slow and eventful trip to the Gold Coast to see our daughter for Christmas all the way from Adelaide.
We are stuck in Young for at least two days while waiting to get our car looked at after it was towed from Grenfell yesterday.
Can only get around by foot so hoped to find at least one of the only two caches we hadn't found on previous trips to make the trip a little worthwhile. We could see the other one but with our luck this trip weren't going to attempt it. So onto this one we came, did a really good search with no luck.

Nice area for a picnic and a walk with the dog. Left a replacement small sistema under rocks on town side of bridge. Tftc
There is a lot of water flowing under this bridge at present and based n last logs I didn’t want to risk falling in for nothing
Unfortunately I only found the lid of the container at the spot so you may need to fix maybe above flood level. T for the cache all the same.
Thought it would be closer to the toe of the bank. All good with this one. Thanks
Found it
It was a good walk along the river and didn’t get to wet
We were so exited when it was found
Just leaving young and thought we would grab this cache

Great cache! We Checked this spot last time and had not luck as it had been washed away. So had to check it again to double check with a new geocache being place weather it was there. Great fun thanks for the find?

You’re right, it’s disappeared! Don’t know if it was muggled or washed away by rain - neither seem particularly likely. I will find a new container and replace it ASAP.

Cache has been replaced, in a slightly different position to the original, only about 1m away, where it seems a little more secure. Let’s hope this one lasts at least long enough for someone to find it!!
JohnoMawbs and I spent 15 minutes searching for this one and we didn't find it. Thanks anyway.
Swimmagurl and I spent about 15 minutes searching for this one. We found many locations that fitted your cache description and hint but none of them housed the cache. We did however find the container shown in the photo, which is coloured brown as per the hint. It was very damaged and definitely no logbook found.
If this was the cache, a CO check/replacement is required, asap.

Spend 1 hour looking at both the bridge and terrain surrounding the area but was unable to locate the cach.
Found a spot that matched the hint but no joy. Abandoned the search as the undergrowth was very thick where my gps was suggesting. Thanks anyway.
