It's the time for Mr Hunters' to take his big annual leave chunk for the year, 1.5 years into his first full time social work role in his home city of Canberra. This year, I decided to jump on my parents' holiday to Perth (next week) but beforehand, I wanted a solo geocaching splurge. I spotted the LGA series not too far from Perth, so I soon booked accommodation for 5 nights in Boddington with the intention to finish the entire series within that time. I was really looking forward to some quiet time for solo geocaching and to have simple pub meals in a quiet country town, I've been extremely busy over the past few months and given my job involves a lot of emotional energy, I wanted to visit a secluded location as far away from home as you can get, absolutely brilliant.I leave Boddington tomorrow so today, I took a lovely country drive to the mines, Quindanning, Williams and Wandering to collect some of the caches near the LGA series that I skipped during my big run on the series, plus some extra ones that I wanted (i.e. virtual and AL). Lovely walk to GZ, I appreciated the heads up about the trail and signage otherwise I would've parked on the highway. Great to see this cache highlighting local Aboriginal history. TFTC.
Heading home after the Wandering for the music festival .Hopefully also grabbing a few smilies along the way . Happy to come up trumps here. Some logs signed as N20 This is my 14223 find Thankyou Lachlan1.77 for placing and maintaining this cache for others to find .
Thank you! Took advantage of the sunny day to take dad for a drive. We ended up in the Boddington and Quindanning area, finding a nice variety of caches.Happy to make the find here.
I went for a walk to Dilyan's gravesite as Simone was completing a multicache nearby. I didn't realise there was a cache not far from the grave until I walked out and then Simone told me. We walked back in and made a find quickly- TFTC.
A proactive maintenance check was conducted on Sunday 7/7/2024. The cache and logbook were found to be in working order.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 44 - Wandering to Collie via Boddington. On a very overcast day, with a bit of a mist about in the morning I headed off from Wandering. The cluster of caches at Crossman was first, then a difficult but interesting look around Boddington. Plenty of interesting artwork to see and after three shops, I found a morning snack. I visited a few cemetery caches and the did some more LGA caches to flesh out the days caching. The last cache was a tribute to mining and done just before arriving in Collie to get set up and go and have a look around town. Before going into the cemetery to have a look, I went for the short walk to this remote grave. he cache was found without any problems. Thanks for the cache Lachlan1.7747573.6 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & December 2020 Gift of Geocaching A#431**Albida**

Out on the road today with Kyzabra and Granett, for some necessary cache maintenance on a few of the LGA series in the Boddington area. We met at the Jarrahdale pub and piled into one car for the trip down. It's good to catch up after what feels like ages... have a few laughs and talk about nothing and everything. ________________Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Lachlan1.77 you help make the game what it is today, cheers AlliedOz

I was feeling down in the dumps as my operation had been cancelled again this week so decided that I would like to go caching today so we picked Boddington area for the trip. We collected the family from Wellard and headed south. The first cache visited was about 6:20 am with the last cache was around 3:00 pm. Was a beautiful day to be out caching except for the temperature which never got above 10 degrees after starting below 3 degrees. The bush and the views of the valleys were beautiful.
Most caches were found without problems, logs signed 'CTBHG&G' and caches returned as they were found.
Thanks to the cache owners for placing all these caches for other cachers to find.

Detour off the highway while heading south and home. Surprisingly busy road but made a quick find at gz. Thanks for the history for this placement Lachlan.
Found it. TFTC Lachlan1.77l. Came to this area to try to finish the ones I missed in the LGA series. couldn't resist the challenge here, replaced as found.
Today the geocaching plan for TaurusSix and I was to head back out to the LGA series between Williams and Boddington to collect another string of the caches in this series. This will be the fifth time we have headed out there and we are really enjoying this series. Today we are starting at the Boddington end and we will also be collecting other caches around the area too. It is a perfect spring day and ideal to be out and about geocaching one of the best days in what feels like a long time. The fog patches were still lifting as we made our way here making the countryside look even more beautiful than ever.
This is our fourth cache find of the day. Lovely stroll to gz. The bush is looking amazing after all the recent rains and the odd wild flower is out to add to the adventure. Very interesting history and gravestone. If it was not for geocaching we probably would not have come across it. TFTC Lachlan1.77

We looked for a shirt while then checked the clue. Even then it took a while for us to locate the cache. We must be going blind.
Watch out for the toilet paper nearby maybe it's hiding a nugget. We just stayed away from it.

I was definitely stumped for a while but it presented itself to me! Thanks for bringing me to this location and for sharing the story of Dilyan. I suspect that his grave being out of the main cemetery may be a sign of the cultural norm at the time which is unfortunate. RIP Dilyan.
Been driving past Dilyan's grave for many years and decided to stop and have look. Bonus points for there being a cache here. TFTC
Stopped to grab this cache whilst driving through boddington. After a short walk the cache was quickly found TFTC Lachlan 1.77
