The team headed south by car for a few target caches as the weather was too lousy for a long hike and/or mountain cycle.A quick find on the way home down the side of the bridge down towards the tracks. Looked a bit scary heading down over the fence down the steep wet slippery side. Fortunately we didn't have too far to go in the end and got back up safely. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.
A fun day caching with the dream team. This cache was a straightforward find at GZ.Thanks, DSD!
Cooma Day 2Yesterday we drove from Adelong to CoomaHalf way into our trip we encounted a snow storm, the first snow of the season. As are not used to this we found it very scary. The car said zero degrees most of the way.Temperature only a little better today, the sun came out after lunch.A nice way to visit the town & area is by following the geocaching trailMet another cacher also at this locationThanks DARKSIDEDAN for hiding this cache.
Hello DARKSIDEDAN thank you for the cacheWe stopped here to find your cache. It didn't take too long to find.As I was about to replace it I was asked by DiMorgan if I could stamp it for him.I found this cache during our Newcastle 2024 trip to see the grandchildren.Found on Wednesday, 10 April 2024 at 1001**TFTC**
After several inclement days of rain we are trying to make up for it today. After visiting the Hydro Centre and learning all about Snowies 2.0, we ventured across to the railway track and found this cache quick enough and in good nick. Thanks for another DARKSIDEDAN.
Heading towards home after the Canberra GeoBash, we stopped in Cooma for a couple of days. We've always had enjoyable times here. This morning we took a drive around the town and located a few caches. After reading some previous logs, I reckoned I knew the best approach to GZ. After finding the cache, and signing the log, we took the much easier return to the parked car. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN.
Found on my trip towards Beridale to stay with my friend before heading to The Mile High Event at Tantangara tomorrow. Easier find than I was expecting, thanks to previous logs. Cool bridge, and a short walk from the Discovery Centre. TNLNSL. TFTC!
The things we do for a cache. Iets say once I got to GZ ..l understand the assignment...some Tiz13 butt sliding got me to GZ to find this cache....I then looked up and thought oh dear I didn't think this through...Don't think about just do it..so making sure the coast was clear I crawled back out..phew
Read the previous logs to give us an idea as to how to approach this one. And it was there TFTC.
Down below. Will be great when this is a rail trail and you can cycle CANBERRA to Cooma. Cold icy wind, snow is coming.
Cooma is a nice town. Explored a few tourist destinations, snowy hydro centre, goal museum, and Charles Davis gallery to name a few. This cache was where the trolls live. Tftc
Out for a caching drive while Clair attends an SES meeting nearby.
Last for the day. Was a lot easier than I feared it might be. Found in the first place that I looked.
Cheers

I bought a coffee across the road and took it along on the search, it was an easy find in the end, thanks
Wandered over here, looked in all the wrong places till we suddenly got the trick. I held geomuts while Mr S did the scrambling
Quick park and grab here. I did the climbing here while Zinnia94 did the stressing about me falling. Nice hide TFTC
Not in the traditional spot, and beware the large redback inhabiting there. Minor scramble and found easily enough - but bizarrely there is HALF a phone nearby. Anyway, all that aside, an easy find with nice views. TFTC!
An interesting bridge here, was a bit of trouble getting over the fence but the cache was found and is all good
Day 6 of Courtneyrose_ and I’s trip from Adelaide to Sydney, today we headed from Cooma to Batemans Bay via Bega. After caching around Cooma in the morning before our event it was Was interesting to go from country highlands to the coast after being inland for the whole trip.
Thanks for the cache

Find # 11739
Found with sharkiefan.
We headed from Jindabyne up to Cooma and back for the days caching.
After checking out the town and having a bite to eat. We checked out the Hydro centre. So much engineering under ground.
Anyway..... leaving the centre we crossed the road to tackle this one. The only hard part was jumping the fence.
Quick logical find

On the way home after attending this weekend's events in Jindabyne, I spent some time caching in Cooma, and visiting the Snowy Hydro information centre. A quick find after reading the hint, and re-locating to the correct level. TFTC.

On my way to Kosciusko for the weekend. Long drive today so only a few quick picks along the way.

Day #4 [17-2] of 5 for my trip away. It’s sad leaving the beach because reality has just started calling me. I know I’m still on holidays until the 20th but it already calling. However, I’m not going to let that stop me from enjoy every moment I have left of it. I started the day by heading to the beach to see it one last time. I also went to the ‘Cranky Café’ and had a brekky wrap for breakfast. Next, it was time to head back to the motel, pack the car and head off to Canberra, which was today’s main mission. I will need to return to Merimbula, with the correct TOTT and hints to ones I DNF, so I can find the rest of them next time… yes of course, visiting the beach. I found many caches along the way, most of which were quick and easy find. A couple took a little longer to find because of either I was site seeing and/or because I couldn’t find the cache for quite some time. I arrived at my motel in Canberra at 4:30pm and just enjoyed rest in the room. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC’s
P.S. Sorry, about the generic logs. I will endeavour to edit them at some point in the future for the extended story, FP’s and/or photos. This is when I have more time on my hands.

For years, I've wanted to hike Mt Kosciuszko for my 40th. Well, this year was the year, and I was thankfully to have some great friends come with me for the experience. We had THE BEST weather and experience humanly possible. Just stunning.
Sadly, this was our last day, and we were all heading home. This was one of the last caches we grabbed on the way out. Thanks for maintaining this cool little cache.

28,616. Found with albida33 during a nice easy day run down doing the Air Disaster Tour series plus any bonus caches along the way.
I had read up on this series and looked at the photos and was quite looking forward to visiting the area. With albida33 back in town we made a plan to do a nice easy day run through the area today. The roads out this way are in very good condition despite the amount of rain we’ve had. Next one of the day, and even though it was Sunday we saw next to nobody else around. A quick find was made once at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, the continued on to the next one.
Thanks DSD !!

I spent the day on caching loop down south to the Air disaster series with Fitzy. The weather was great and the roads in good condition. We had a great day and only a few of the caches were in any way difficult to find.
After finishing the series, we headed home via Cooma. There was a newish cache next to the highway, so we took the short detour and clamber to get to this cache.
Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN

Interesting spot and a fabulous old bridge. In Cooma for the weekend so hunted out a few caches. Tftc
Driving Dino down to Cooma for a sports event. Trying to fit in as much caching time as possible. Adverse weather made it a bit less fun though.
A nice cache here on cool structure.
Thank you DARKSIDEDAN for the fun!
