Found with JustLookingOO during a lovely walk while on holiday. Thanks for the cache!
Today I wanted to do some little hiking. I chose this one in Whatakane. It has some few very nice view to the ocean and good walking. Thanks for the cache. Greetings from Slovakia.
️ Trouvée ! / Found it ! ️
Une petite randonnée sympa qui fut plus courte que prévue à cause d'un impératif horaire. Ce n'est pas grave, les points de vue sont magnifiques. Merci pour ces belles caches.
4041ème cache trouvée.
Merci Geckoh pour la cache
A nice little hike that was shorter than expected because of an hourly imperative. It doesn't matter, the views are magnificent. Thank you for these beautiful caches.
4041th cache found.

Good sized cache. Delighted to find the toys we put in this morning were enjoyed by the following finders. Cache is all good. TFTC
A fine Saturday needs a day outside caching and this trail was ideal. Did the first 14 (forgot about 5.5) and have tired legs to prove it... but the scenery was amazing! Plenty of photo opps today. LOVED the name of this cache... evident by the amount of times I had to say it as we walked from the previous cache LOL A nice quick find. TFTC
I was taking my GF out and showing her around my home town where I grew up, her first time to NZ.
We enjoyed some time at Kohi point before I noticed a "new" cache on the map.
I thought I had gotten these caches last year when I was visiting.
We walked to the track and along the narrow path where I told her that I recognised that stump, I had found a cache here last year, I think I got FTF on it.
Had a look and found the container, checked the log and sure enough, there was my name at the start of the log.
Thought I had forgotten to log it but once back home and checking the page I see the cache has been re-listed so I have added my name again.
Thanks for the cache, again

After a slight side trip we are back on the trail. Stumpy is doing a good job of protecting its treasures. TFTC
With Mum and nephew… Mum reckons she hasn’t been anywhere in months. It was a reasonably fine Sunday for a drive, so let’s go exploring. The Eastern Bay was looking particularly good…
This hide was still showing on my geomap, so I ventured off without any navigational tools - I assumed I knew where to find this hide - I didn’t… I high-tailed it back to the car and sheepishly admitted to my mistake. Armed with the iPhone gps this time, it didn’t take long to arrive at ground zone. A bit of scratching around and the cache was in hand. Surprise! My name was already in the logbook. Thanks Geckoh. TFTC.

A quick easy grab here, and I had been taking plenty of time, stopping to photograph the prolific fungii...then suddenly realised my battery was redlining, so skipped ahead to the point... TFTC!
Summer Geocaching Road Trip - Day 5 - Gisborne to Whakatane. It's been a while since I've been off on a road trip and this one has been on the cards for quite a while. I plan to visit some parts of the country where I've done very little caching before and hope to complete the qualification for a challenge cache in Nelson. I don't usually like to cut and paste logs but will make an exception for a "power trail" like this one. I've been fortunate with good weather on this trip up to now. Today was a bit more challenging but I was very lucky that the worst of the weather seemed to be over by the time I hit the trail. I really enjoyed the walk - as far as I had time and energy for today - from #1 to #15 - and the nice variety in containers and hides. Thanks for your efforts in placing and maintaining these and TFTC, Biggles.
6 January 2023 11:48 TFTC Geckoh for placing this cache, number 12217 for me.
Saw the glistening web strands first.
Saw the glistening web strands first.
That was a very great hike except the weather. I did all the Caches from #2 to #17
But don't found #15. #3 and 5 is wet inside.
A drawback is that nothing is written about the tide, so I could not make all the Caches and must go all the way back. I nedet about 4 hours.
Thanks and one point by 1 and 17.

Mr Ratty McRattll face headed out for a late night caching adventure.
He saw loads of weka's, rabbits and heard a kiwi, before coming across stumpy McStump face! Such a big adventure for a little 'rattll'. Now it's off home for beddy McBed .... bed. Hehe!!!
Thanks for setting this up.

I decided to tackle some of the Toi trail after work, started some of the original trail years ago, but never finished it before it was archived..With such a big stump there was plenty of base to look at, second spot I checked and I found the cache. TFTC

Had to come back to Whakatane today. Picked up Squirrel to cone sign off on this. An awesome walk yet again. Cheers
Love the name. Stumpy was very obvious but cache was well hidden. Eventually got it & off we go. Beautiful day, we were getting very hot. Tftc
Stumpy was obvious, but cache not so much. In a nice hiding spot. A great day for a walk. TFTC
It is wonderful the amazing array of different vistas along this wonderful trek..the day was sunny and clear..so they were extremely rewarding...caching is wonderful under these unique conditions ..thanks Geckho
I went one way and Macwatt went the other- of course. He randomly met up with Happy Bogan who had just finished the whole trail. Of course they gossiped while I carried on oblivious to macwatt's distraction (we'd been delayed earlier by a poor lost geocacher looking for a hint on another cache)! Soon realized I was ahead of myself and had to backtrack. All good here thanks geckoh.
This was the last one on my loop today. From here I made my way back up to Kohi Point lockout and walk along the road back to my car. They are upgrading the road and putting a footpath in so made the walk back easy. Just as I came out of the track a familiar face comes around the corner. Macwatt! Haha nice to catch up with him again. Totally enjoyed the track and caches. Well worth it. Tftc
A beautiful day to get a good start on these caches. Love this walk and many thanks to the COs for setting up this great trail again TFTC
Third attempt at this series and managed to turn 10 more into smiley. Headed off after work with an hour or so of daylight. Got to the furthest point well after the sun had set and the light was failing. It’s interesting how somewhere remote and dark quickly becomes rather creepy if one’s alone. Enjoyed the finds on the way out. Thanks for all the thought and effort put into them. All the caches/logs were dry and in good condition. Thanks Geckoh for the smiley. Noted that amazing basket fungi that look unreal. Would be easy to think they were some sort of geometric baby toy.
Please note: There are names already in the logbook for this cache, but these cachers found it when it was part of the geotour.
It is now an independent cache and as such the code word in the log book is no longer valid.
First to Find is up for grabs!
