Reperio 16:31Day 6 of our NSW south eastern caching tour, and Master Vitruvius and I today travelled from just outside of the ACT to home in Orange. With a number of caches left to do around Murrumbateman and Yass, we stopped by a few in this area before taking an extended route back home to Orange. Our final day was another fantastic day of caching, with very few caches that went unfound. Gratias tandm86As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

Found the cache in the last place we looked. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Adelaide to Broken HillDay two. Broken Hill to WellingtonDay three. Wellington to CowraDay four. Cowra to BathurstDay five. Bathurst to CanberraDay six. Canberra to CanberraDay seven. Canberra to QueenbeeyanDay eight. Canberra to AdelaideThe generic bit.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Today we are trying to get as many traditionals as we can as we need only 26 more for a challenge cache in Canberra.6/26Thanks tandm86 for placing and maintaining this cache.

Cowra trip Winter 2023 Day 2. I have been watching the growing number of caches in and around Cowra so I felt it was time to head out there and see how I could go trying to find them. The Canberra weather was pretty dreary, but it got nicer the further west I went. The caching was a bit up and down, I was happy to find some really difficult caches, but then failed to find others. The second day was a time to visit the War cemetery and the POW camp. I have not been as far into either as much before. I managed to find all but one of the caches I tried today. I had an uneventful drive home and it got wetter as I went. I wonder where I will go next ?

I found three of the cherry caches this morning, all found without issue and in good condition. No cherry's at the moment.

Thanks for the cache tandm86

Day three on our short trip north to find some better weather. BettyBoo3747, the geodoggies and I are heading to Cowra and back. Today we are caching around Cowra!.

This was an unexpected hide, but at least it wasn't a nano.
Thanks, Robmc.

#20965. Day 3 of a short holiday over the border in NSW with Robmc and the geodoggies. Spent the night in Cowra on the banks of the river (in the caravan park) and awoke to a frosty morning that soon turned into a glorious Autumn day. Plenty of caching around town, scenery to admire and Cowra's war history to immerse ourselves in, walks to be had and cycle paths that will encourage us to bring the bikes on our next visit.

I bet it is a beautiful drive when the blossom is in full bloom. Pity about the nano hides though.

Thanks tandm86

Bathurst to Cowra. Staying at the showground.
It started with a very rainy day but at we neard Carcoar the weather started to clear. So we didn't do any of the caches we had planned to do along the road.
The other incident that happened in front of us, was a cow falling form the top of a cattle truck. Awfull to see such an injured animal.
There were so many new caches here, since we last visited.
Cowra is certainly an interesting town, this showed in the amazing locations that we found caches around town
Thankyou to all the CO's for placing these caches.

We decided that it was time to go on a day trip to Cowra to look for some of the new caches that had popped up in the area since we were last there. Texted Rapidlywild to see if she was interested in joining us on for the journey. It was a pretty cold day with the winds but thankfully no rain which was a bonus. No DNF's for us today which was a great and all caches were found pretty quickly and we managed to get all of the caches we targeted with a couple of labs thrown in for good measure.

Nice to see a new mini trail of caches in Cowra. Quick find and replace at this one.

Thanks for the hide tandm86 and thanks for a good day out Rapidlywild.

The FFLL ladies had decided they wanted to go on a little tiki tour around Cowra and reached out with an invite, yes please Big Grin It was a cold day however the rain held off and we were able to achieve our target area and managed to clean up again for a while. We completed 2 labs and a heap of trads and assorted caches which included an unexpected FTF.

A nice easy find here, signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the hides tandm86 Big Grin And thanks to the FFLL ladies for a fun day out and about around Cowra [^].

Fitzy_1965 and I decided to head to Cowra for the weekend. Day 2 saw us up early and on the road again after a quick stop at the Golden Arches for a coffee.

As it has been a few years since we were last here, there has been a nice number of new caches in the area. Fitzy had kept himself busy by doing all the puzzling before headed out. Always good to find a Joshwa27 cache or two along with caches by others along the way.

We had a fun couple of days and found a nice camp spot for our second night in using the van instead of our tent. Definitely warmer than Bathurst last weekend.

All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned. Many thanks to the CO’s.

28,242. Found with minniek during a fun weekend run up to Cowra.

Day 2. Over many years of caching runs around and through Cowra I have come to really enjoy this town with some amazing history. We had previously - after many visits - finally 'cleaned out' Cowra, so it was fantastic to see many new caches by Joshwa27 and tandm86 (plus some others) appearing everywhere. So much so that we decided on a last minute run up this way this weekend. After a toasty night in our van, we headed out to try for the rest of the new caches in Cowra. This was the next one. Quick find at GZ. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed to the next one on our list.

Thanks tandm86 !! This is a fun run up this road !

After weeks of puzzling finally in the area to collect on my work. Start at Cowra with a Parkrun at 8 and then work my way to Bathurst. Also picking up the traditionals of course. Day started wet, but that doesn't stop me. Another unexpected {FTF} on this trip!
