A nice little AL and a straightforward bonus find at GZ, all round smiles, thanks!
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we decided wed move on to the Omarama area & stay somewhere local this afternoon, we needed to head into Omarama to do a few wee jobs & complete the Ad Lab & then find the Bonus Ad Lab completed, co-ordinates reconfigured & off we went, a short walk to GZ, quick fossick around & we soon had the caches in hand ended up being quick and easy find, logbook signed & cache returned as found were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN except photos:LN:LS this was #6,594 for us!
I really enjoyed the wander around and was so happy when I didn't have to walk up the hill to claim the bonus. Thank you for setting up this AL for me to enjoy
Out and about caching here around the South Island in our travels from Australia. Arrived at GZ and searched. cache found and log signed. TFTC
Travelling from Cromwell to Ashburton today and collecting a few caches and ALs along the way. Saw some amazing scenery and ventured along some great roads. Thanks to the COs for placing the caches for us to find.
Armed with jandals and a chilly bin, a couple of Aussies headed across the ditch for a 3-week tiki tour, exploring the beauty of New Zealand.DAY 16: A morning in Oamaru before heading to the hills - Twizel & Mt Cook.We only did four waypoints of this Adventure Lab and we could narrow down its location from that so quickly stopped here to pick this up and then returned to finish the last waypoint. Thanks for showing us this special place by placing this cache, spoonz2 tn koe~~
Day 8, and the last full day of our NZ mega mega holiday with The_Tritonz: Twizel to Cromwell via Mount Cook.Stopped here in Omarama for lunch after an exhilarating morning that included a helicopter flight to the Liebig Dome and a visit to the Mount Cook Visitor Centre. Then enjoyed exploring this small town via the adventure labs. TFTC and labs spoonz2.
On an overseas adventure in the company of chooknchunk we explored this wondrous country enjoying all the locations each and every cache took us to.Today we explored Mt Cook and oh, what an experience. Our first stop was a 40 minute helicopter flight which was just amazing, then coffee and then caching.Heading back to Cromwell now we are experiencing some more lovely locations with geocaches. After enjoying lunch locally we completed the adlab and signed off on the final. Thanks spoonz2 for the Bonus placement.
We started our beautiful journey through the South Island in Christchurch. Here we went on a big sightseeing tour and visited lots of caches. We then travelled via Lake Tapeko, Dansey Pass and Moeraki to Dunedin for the MEGA event. In Dunedin we visited the MEGA events and together with many other cachers we found many caches around Dunedin. A few days later, we travelled on through the Catlins to the southernmost part of Bluff. We then visited Te Anau and the tourist town of Queenstown. In Wanaka we went on another sightseeing tour until we reached the west coast via the Haast Pass. We hiked to Fox Glacier and Franz Josef Glacier. We continued along the west coast up to Westport, stopping at various sights along the way. Richmond and Nelson, the sunniest cities, were also on our list.A few days later we reached the east coast again in the wine region of Picton and Blenheim. After a few days, we travelled back to Christchurch via Kaikoura. We visited many geological sites, completed many adventure cahes and found many caches along the way.We travelled almost 3500 km and had so many great experiences. Many thanks to all the ownersTeam sissifalke
A plan was hatched quite a while ago when the Dunedin Mega was announced to come over to the South Island again.I have only been to New Zealand twice before and I loved the South Island. So a chance to come back for a Mega was a no brainer for me.Everything was booked and I flew in on Saturday after a bit of a delay. After a great look around Mount Cook yesterday and an over night stay in Twizel its time to head to Oamaru for tonight. So Day 5 of my Mega NZ trip begins and Im on my own again so lets go find a few more caches along the way.Up early as per usual and after a nice drive around Twizel and my morning coffee it was time to hit the road again. After a nice tour of the town finding a few interesting spots I soon had all of the info to work this one out.Cache was soon located and I added my name to the log. Thanks spoonz2 TFTBC.
Did the ad lab ok & got the coords for the final. Had to outwait 2 dog walkers before grabbing the final. Great ad lab taking me to new places of interest in Omarama. [TFTC]
Quick find of the adventure lab cache. I was the first to do the lab caches but final was not listed when I did it and I don't come down this way very often
On a road trip of the sth Island. Gathered all the information on a nice tour around the town tftadlab
I enjoyed discovering some things in Omarama that I didn't know about. The sculpture was very cool and the single gravestone was a surprise. Many thanks for the cache! #10352
Heading south for a short break before an overseas adventure...just enough time to cache up with KJR ...numbers were soon gathered and cache in hand not long after....that's omarama all smiles for me..tftc
Heading to Oamaru via the Lindis pass. Lunch stop in Omarama to catch up with BCD. Couple more locations to visit and soon had the final coordinates. Quick find here TFTC
Did the Adventure Lab a while ago but didn't have time to look for the bonus cache. Back in the area today and it was a quick find. TFTC.
Thanks for an interesting tour of Omarama. The lonely grave was unexpected and the sculpture at the airport was a surprise
Nice time picking up the Adventure Labs today. Fab point for the labs and bonus cache. Nicely tucked away container too We also acknowledge the traditional custodians of New Zealand / Aoteroa, as we geocache throughout their land while on holiday. Thanks for showing us this place, & for placing and maintaining this cache. The is our playground
Day 13 of our roadtrip around the south island with Blue Jay. Today we drove from Queenstown to Omarama taking in Clyde and Cromwell along the way. Beautiful scenery and some nice caches.Found after doing the labs around the town. Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining. TFTC. Toffee Man.
Worked through the adventure lab and got to the find. Felt a bit awkward searching for it but I got it eventually! Thanks for the cache.
Did a quick check on this one after one reported DNF. All good here, still in place and ready for the next finder.
Really enjoyed the Ad Lab tour of Omarama. Cache found after over looking its hiding hole on our first search!! TFTC
Picking up some A2O caches in the area so thought I would try this. But no luck hope I worked out the co-ordinates correctly.
Yay! Completed the Ad Lab & managed to find the bonus with no problem. Thanks so much for setting the Ad Lab & for this bonus.
Tim did the work for the numbers but when put into our phones, it turned out that Viv was the nearest. A quick find at GZ.TFTCTim and Viv - ddm
Me and my brother (Prince Caspian) were out on a bike ride with our Grandy, who is the CO for this cache. We stopped here and I found it, so she could check that it was all ok.
I was on my way from Cromwell to Waimate when I stopped in Omarama for lunch and a few caches.I had gathered all the required info from the associated AdLab and caluated the coords.Cheers for the cache, spoonz2.
Day 9: Across the Lindis PassThe route for today brought us back to close the big loop of our Southern journey by passing through Omarama and the Lindis Pass and back into Cromwell where we stayed the night. This would be my first trip across the Pass and we found many caches along the way, including the highlight of the day at the Bendigo Historic Reserve. Thanks for all of the caches along the route!(End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for the cache:Completed all the AL stages and was glad to have done it in the right order. So, it was only a short hop over to the GZ where after some head-scratching, I put my hand into some likely places and came up with the goods. TFTAL and the cache!
I enjoyed my visit to the various labs after lunch in Omarama today. I have visited all the sites at some point in the past but quite happy to visit again. Thanks for this bonus cache spoonz2 # 20,680
Thanks for hiding this cache spoonz2 I appreciate it. It's Show Weekend in Christchurch. So JDScout and I are spending four nights in Clyde We drove down on Thursday and are staying in our camper van.We did some of the adventure lab on the way to Clyde and the rest on the way back.
Family getaway up to our old stomping ground in Christchurch. Day 2 Omarama to Christchurch..Finished yesterday with the adlab but as it was not only getting dark, but was also rather chilly I decided to do the calculations back at the accommodation and grab this bonus cache in the morning. Left the others in their beds, grabbed a muslie bar and headed out. Arrived at GZ a short time later and spotted the container in the first place I looked. We wondered why there is just the one grave on what is marked as the old cemetery on the map. Surely more people lost their lives. Thanks for the cache spoonz2# 3757 25 September 2023 8:01 am
We took two visits to complete the Ad Lab because of the flooding and came back again today to find the bonus. TFTC for both.
Done the Lab Cache a few months ago, back to get the bonus. - Thanks Bitsprayer
Great adlabintroduced me to some new sights in Omaramara thanks I appreciated the bonus cache
Just as well we have no fixed agenda as we keep being distracted by Ad Labs and traditional caches. We walked / drove to the waypoints. The weather is perfect for a stroll. It was very windy on the road in, but not in town. Thanks for the Ad Lab and bonus spoonz2
And that’s the bonus……. Done & dusted! A lovely blackboy peach tree here but not ripe enough yet sadly! TFTC
Enjoyed the lab cache and quickly found the final coords which pointed us to a likely spot. The hint was excellent and I immediately laid my hands on it. No rain while we were in Omarama.
Very nice adventure lab, thankyou. Nice to break our journey and actually move a bit...
Spot on coordinates.

After that previous log, thought I had better check on this. Cache is in place and good condition. Things are a bit overgrown at the moment, but by no means a dump.
In town to look for a rare new Atlas Quest letterbox at the Wrinkly Rams. Got my first ever AQ ftf on that so did the lab as well. Was ok but a pity such a dump at the bonus. Thanks for trying though.
We enjoyed our stroll around Omarama yesterday gathering the required information for this bonus, before heading for a soak in the hot tubs. When we left the hot tubs we didn’t feel like caching, so headed out this morning to pick it up before getting back on our bikes to Otematata. Quick find once at gz.
Thanks for setting up this adventure lab and bonus.

#22227. We enjoyed our tour of Omarama. After an excellent coffee, we headed to the final, and made a quick find there. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we head back home to Chch from Duntroon on Waitangi Day - taking the scenic, inland route.
After completing the Ad lab airport WP (loved the sculpture here, reminded me of Bulls in the North Is), we had a very good coffee and scone at a nearby establishment, then looked for this bonus. A quick find. Thanks for the interesting ad lab and bonus.

A stunning day in paradise yet again. Very hot walking to the four adventure labs in Omarama. Walked the long way round and enjoyed looking around the village. Enjoyed the lab cache especially the cemetery with one headstone in there. Thought I had the numbers but I made a mistake with one making my waypoint somewhere it didn't make sense. But finally found where I went wrong thankfully. TFTC and adventure lab spoonz2. Most enjoyable.
Thanks for the adventure cache. The description for how to get to the bridge could use a bit more detail. Maybe add that the access is between two stockade fences? We are on a group biking adventure. Greetings from New Hampshire, USA!
Damp day so the stop over at you know where for a pink coffee was much appreciated. TFTC
Had left one waypoint as access was closed on my last visit. Today on my drive through, I saw it was open, so made a quick find. Thanks for putting the AdLab together, it was enjoyable to stop and explore a place I had only ever seen from the highway.
TFTC spoonz2, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 1 find(s) of 1 today, making this find #3722

Who would have thought this walk way was here, nice tour around Omamara to get the Lab Caches & now the bonus- TFTC
A nice quick find, after finishing the Ad Lab this morning. A fav point for the lab and the bonus. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee drive to Invercargill and back. Today we cruised down the Waitaki, and I biked the Sailors Cutting to Lake Benmore trail. It was really cool, as I canoed this part of the lake a few years back with KiwiLegend. The day was a bit damp, but not enough to stop me. Homeward bound after the biking.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

There must be a walkway, looking hopefully, trying not to jinx our guess??? Thanks spoonz2
A bit of diversion on the way back home from lunch, visiting a few very familiar spots. Initially thought the coords were out, but then realised I'd actually put in a digit wrong. TFTC.
Second to find and a quick pick up for my last cache today. thanks for the lab and also the bonus cache. Now to head off for a spa and a meal at the pub. Yum
