Logs
Found on a lovely walk on a mid-winters sunny day. I havent been up this track before. Dropped a suitable TB. TFTC
Heck of walk for a Sunday morning. Note the old log has collapsed from rotting out, but cache is still safe and well. Thanks for an excuse to extend my Sunday walk.
Team Reschedule out with Kiwi Does Stuff and the dogs today, thought we'd go for a "short" walk up to a near by cache.. collecting the forest critter on our way out and getting seriously lost along the way! Navigation had us close but thankfully the hint put us in the correct area - it would appear the log has fallen but cache is all in good condition! TFTC!

Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Took a while to find but once I got my breath back I was ready to search. Nice grade 4 on the way up, now I just need to find the way out. No down hill allowed on this track. Earns a Favourite from me Cheers, Cympull.
Log has rolled and is in advanced state of decay. Persisted looking. Probed rot with walking pole and heard a distinctive Thunk! Dug it out and signed log. Cache dry and in good shape. Replaced behind log and covered.Have an fp Agogo.
I and my sister both have a few days off work, and we had some spare time between errands so went for a walk in the woods. Stopped by here for a nice easy find. Well, a rest, actually. I have the remnants of a chest infection. Pneumonia. So I am not transfering O2 as much as usual, and boy is it noticable even on these gentle hills!Anyhoo, nice simple find, and I grabbed the TB to move on.
Back here again for another mission. Decided to make it in a loop walk. Headed off from the tree walk through the redwoods and eventually made my way up to the purple track. Things have changed somewhat since I came up here last. Lots of new bike tracks. Remember coming up here and not seeing anyone. Now quite a few around. Some good views as you make your way up and along the track. Made my way to the trail going to the cache. I remember this track when I use to walk by. Wasn't sign posted then. Made my way down thinking I'm glad I didn't come up this way. Arrive at gz and made a quick find. Cache is in good condition. Carried on down the track and some how ended up on another one. Not sure where I went wrong but ended up going under a few fallen ones. Made for an interesting walk. Love walking around here. So many possibilities of finding new tracks an adventures. Tftc.
My first bush walk in a while and I was beginning to regret it as I puffed my way uphill, heart pounding. After 0.5km I began to feel better and I felt even better after a classic "tupperware in the woods" find. Cache in good condition. Dropped in a TB. TFTC & FP.
We made an attempt to look for this one the last time we visited the forest but couldn't work out which track we needed to take and ended up going around in circles. The tracks often seemed to be going in the right direction at first but would then turn the opposite way and the closest we could get to the cache was about 180 metres.
Today we returned after doing a bit of research and knew the track we needed to be on however still struggled a bit as it is one thing to know the track name but another thing to know which track that is when signs containing this sort of information are limited. Tracks also tend to split in two directions with no indication as to which way is a new track and which is the continuation of the existing track.
But as we had more knowledge of where the tracks were we started off with a much more promising route and were very pleased to come across a sign confirming that we were on the track we needed to be on.
Feeling quite pleased with ourselves we continued on our way and each time we reached a junction turned in the direction that most closely headed to the location of the cache.
Unlike last time the tracks led us to exactly where we needed to be. We laughed when we passed above a track we knew we had taken last time, not realising at the time that the actual track we needed was just a few metres up the hill.
We arrived at GZ with a great sense of joy and relief and after waiting for a few muggles to pass made a nice quick find of this great cache. The contents are in perfect condition and the log is nice and dry.
We signed the log, said hi to the critter guarding the cache and returned it to where we found it.
Now to work out the best way back.
TFTC.

Wow! What a steep track that was Rewarded with a quick find of the cache. TFTC
Out for a walk thought I would check on this cache as I have recently adopted it. Cache all good.
Forest Critters Three Rotorua was transferred from Agogo to user Davidson123Clan
We took the wrong track from the gnome home. Ended up being quite a walk and had to dodge a couple of mountain bikers coming down too.
Combining a couple of hobbies today - geocaching and looking for fungi. Was a bit worried when approaching the cache site as there has been a bit of decay in the area. Cache found in excellent condition with lots of SWAG inside for kids. Wish my daughter was with me but I don't think she would have enjoyed the uphill walk. Here's a photo of some birds nest fungi found a couple of meters away. Tftc
Yay nice to be away for Easter, camping with my daughter. Spent the day in the beautiful redwoods checking my caches and getting some others. Another fp.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

. On an early trip to Rotorua and had this one on the list. Good walk with lots of bird life and a few bikers on the track. Cache all good and hint is good under bush canopy. TFTC
Figured I may as well go for this one, while I'm still nearby. Swapped a jewelled smiley for a cute little gecko.... which I left sitting there after rehiding the cache so had to do a hill repeat to get him . Thanks for the workout & cache!!

Last cache for the day, we have had a long few days, bed at midnight for the last 3 nights and then up and caching by 6am the next morning!
We had a trademe purchase to pick up on the way home so went for a bush walk with our 3 critters, they did remarkably well.
Found cache quickly, took some pics and off back down the trail, back to the van.

I checked with Squirrel nutcase and FapnGap to see if they had got this after work they had so I set off by myself for an evening walk/run I haven’t really been for a run since last summer so I actually enjoyed working up a sweat getting to this cache. It was dark by the time I got to GZ but I quickly found the cache thanks to the hint. I then needed to find my way back in the dark following the glow worms didn’t take long to get back to car. Thanks Agogo for the car always enjoy your hides.
{ FTF } got a call from squirrel nutcase.
new cache Rotorua, did i want to go?
why not so arrived at what we thought was a good starting point.
took a while to find the right track and a while to find cache.
good hide .

{FTF}… With Gap (of Fap and Gap). Had a not so flash work day. So this walk was perfect for blowing off some steam.
You can’t beat this CO for placing deep bush caches and wild goose chases. We followed our iPhone gps explicitly, and took a long, winding trail uphill. It took some trial and error to find the right path, but we were quickly onto the cache. A surprise blank logbook greeted us. We met a couple of trail users on the way down. A nice walk… Thanks Agogo and TFTC.
