After work I decided to take a detour home and grab this cache. Ive done nearly all the caches around Mt Disappointment so grabbing this one made sense. The road here wasnt too bad a few pot holes but made it there in my 2WD geo mobile. A quick search and found the prize. Well hidden. Had a Quick Look at the flat rock look out. Wow great spot in amongst the trees. TFTC

After quite a bush bash to get to the Disappointing Challenge cache this one was mercifully close to the road but still took a while to find. My gps was a fair way off so I resorted to the hint but even then it took me some searching. A pleasant stop but not much of a lookout, I must have been too busy staring at the ground!Flat Rock Lookout is find number 3,229 for me. A great large traditional cache I enjoyed finding as part of my caching trip which started in the Mt Disappointment area and then meandered south into the Melbourne suburbs. Unless otherwise mentioned above, I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign.I am logging this one a couple of days late but found it on Tuesday the 5th of December 2023 and the weather was sunny, humid, warm and sweaty. Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy ThDogs.Found with Geooh GO

Well that was a lot harder than it had to be, A fallen long tree, question what is classed as long? Anyway, after much soul searching and searching, this one finally revealed itself so that the log could be signed. Yeah another down. Thanks for the cache from the inspectorrexteam.

"What's this green thing on my map?" said I, "I think I need to get that!"
Onwards and upwards I went.
"My, this is a bit further in than I expected."
I'm pretty sure I've been here at sometime in the past with our Bushwalking club as it all looks familiar. Still not much of a view, from memory.
Anyway, let the hunt begin.
The GPS seemed to go a bit wayward under the trees which made my choices and decisions skewed and I looked in all the wrong places up until I pocketed the device and simply used my eyeballs and logic. Behold! There was a tiny bit of the cache visible. Thank goodness for that!
Log signed and cache returned to its hide.
And look at that!, second to find.

What do you do when you wake up on a cold Melbournian winter's morning. Why, check for any unclaimed FTF, of course. LOL This cache can up trumps!!!

So with a destination set in the GPS, off we went. As we approached we noticed the thick fog on the top of the hill. No worries, it will burn off. Well it didn't. With great anticipation, and a gloomy forecast, the cache container was retrieved and opened…. Yes! A {FTF}!!! @11h08 on 25/6/22

An unusual and surprising place on a winters day. Thanks for bringing us to a great spot, Guessing it would be that much more spectacular in the summer.
