This morning, I took a drive north to Carseldine and Bracken Ridge, stopping at a few geocaches along the way. I enjoyed a few adventurous tree climbs, and the walk through a bushland crossing Bald Hills Creek was certainly a tough slog. It was then a brief opportunity to attend MummaBear66's *Birthday Celebrations* event before I was expected back home.
In the late afternoon, jesswrigley and I took my visiting parents for a walk along Kedron Brook to survey some of the damage from the February heavy rains / flood event. The area has been cleaned up immensely, yet there is still leaf debris in fences and debris in amongst trees serving as a reminder of what happened.

A quick stop for me as we had a family lunch that I needed to head back for. I was waiting around a while for some announcements to happen, but it looks like some of the guests had dispersed already grabbing a nearby cache. There looks to have been a nice spread of food put out by the COs, so nice work. Thanks MummaBear66 and the Cubs for the event organisation. A shame this event wasn't a community celebration event with so much effort put in the preparation and newly published geocaches that the event's guests beta tested.

Attending Mamabears Birthday event. Happy Birthday Mamabear?? ??????& I had a great time & a shout out to Charlie who went up the tree not once, but twice to sign the log for the whole crew???????.

Late change of plans, will drop in for a short visit.

It was going to be a dry July et moi. Then I weakened on 1 July. With stronger resolve I failed again on 2 July too. So today arrived at MummaBear66's belated b'day bash and the table was full of chocolate goodies, this is going to be another difficult trial. And I'm proud to say will power won over temptation and to celebrate I went to the local with Ardom. Great event MB66!!

Rolled up here fashionably late and cheered the birthday girl ?? Our birthdays are in the same week so that meant I could indulge in the sweet treats on the table. It also means that Dry July is an instant fail every year ????? Most of the attendees were already hunting the new caches and I was swept up in the action as the mob came back past. Then RoddyC zoomed by on his wheels ?? At the next WP there was fishing and a ladder and even child exploitation ?? No dog ?? fights as all the pooches were getting along (fairly) well. Admired the innovative use of a sock on a dog ?? Lots of catch-up chats and puzzling and more chocolate and some ??

Heading towards this event of the day and picking up a DNF, some challenges and what ever was in the way.

Had agreat time at the event, ate too much though and picked up a FTF.

Attended with the OCjr kids. Arrived to find a rescue effort underway to assist RoddyC with not 1 but 2 flat tyres. The spare was flat so we couriered it to the servo for reinflation, then it was placed back on the car with help from georode.

The event was in full swing by now, with plenty of sweet treats, doorprizes and FTFs on offer. A great spread, and an equally great turnout. Thanks for having us!

Today was a great days outing, Charli and I went to the birthday event for MummaBear66. We got to chat to a few regular people and play around. It was nice to see a few new faces and a few old ones turning up again. A very good turnout for the event today, hope you enjoyed the day MummaBear66. A nice touch with the cache releases and the prize draw, oh and so much good food nice job princess.

Wishing MummaBear66 a very Happy Birthday and with the help of the 'cubs', this was a terrific Event enjoyed by all who attended. Good food, great prizes and three FTFs were very well received by those who won them & of course the remainder of us got to share in the spoils as well ????????

Thanks for hosting an excellent event. It was interesting to see the tree fishing professionals at work. I think I need to sort out some equipment and keep it permanently in my geo-van. Lots of these cache types have popped up over the years. I guess I’m a late starter haha. I was great to catch up with ol’ geo-buddies and make new ones. Also good to put faces to names that I’ve regularly seen in logs.

North side of Brisbane to help celebrate Mummabears birthday then do some caching too. Happy Birthday hope you had a fantastic day as we all enjoyed joining in with you. Lots of yummy chocolate Cake and chocolate chip cookies and lollies to help us add to the waistline. Three new caches were also up for grabs and enen though i didnt win a FTF we all got to find them. A very enjoyable day. TFTE

Sorry, won't make it this time. Not feeling too well. Was supposed to help hubby with the exhibition set up Thursday and Friday so I can go caching on the weekend, but I've been forced to stay in bed. This sudden change of weather always get me!
