I was staying in the area for a couple days. I failed on the Gleeson Wetlands T5 so headed to this one. On arrival I was ROFL. This lovely cache was spied 4.2m off the ground. I barely got out three segments of my pole to make the retrieve. I signed the log and put it back 6.5m up on a higher branch. Rather interesting in that my T5 is 12m up a tree at Lyndoch. Nevertheless, I am gleeful at getting this DT, thanks for the placement and ongoing maintenance. Found at 3.17pm
Now I understand why this is partially 4.5.I did this on a very windy day and it was not that easy, you've made good use of the cable wire.I have had to replace the container and logbook. The container was cracked badly and the weather was getting in,tftc. It now looks like this
We spotted this one a couple of weeks ago while caching in the area but didnt attempt it as we didnt have the right TOTT.We returned today and managed to retrieve it and sign the log, despite the very stiff breeze trying its best to blow us off courseMany thanks for the hide Jamms_SA.a favourite point on its way
I decided to take Friday off work to make it a four day weekend. The plan was to explore around Barossa and Clare valleys. Im not much of a wine drinker but there sure are lots of geocaches in these parts. I brought my bike along so I could tackle some of the many caches along bike tracks. A little cool through out the day but the sun was shining which always makes me happy. Yes I am a John Denver Fan. I brought my tree fishing pole specifically for this cache. Quick retrieval and sign. A favourite point from me. Thank you Jamms_SA, for placing Gerald Giraffe gets sidetracked for the geocaching community.# # #14973 # #
Clare and Gilbert Valley caravan trip. Day 2 - Farrell Flat to Polish Hill and return.Came and fished, heavy little sucker!TFTC
Today was a long day with lots to do and all of it plus more achieved. First we were up at 4.30am to grab a cache before heading to Clare for an early event and a few caches before returning towards Adelaide, picking up a Wherigo, Earth and challenge cache on the way. We then collected a few lab caches, signed in at the Mega, found a few more caches, a web camera cache, back to the event, more caches then tea before finally heading back to our accommodation. All in all a very successful day. Thanks to the event hosts, cache CO and everyone who gave a couple of Kiwi's a helping hand today for our first Mega. This was a little off the main road but worth the visit. It had a terrain rating we required today. Arrived on site and noticed the cache. A bit of difficulty at first lifting it from it's perch but got there in the end and signed log then returned to where found. tftc#7901
My TOTT was pretty much mortally wounded at Quadrant Park earlier in the year, but it can still assist with some of the easier high terrain hides. I threw it in the car for the Victoria trip, and it was still there, so since I was passing this one anyway, I stopped to have a look. Geoffrey is bigger than I was expecting and hes a bit hefty too. The TOTT worked a treat - no drama at all with down or up, the cache never hit the ground. This cache still does have a stamp unlike its neighbour. Thanks for this hide Jamms_SA.
Travelling Australia in our caravan since February 2014.
With magnificent weather forecast we were up early this morning for a 5+ km hike in the Spring Gully National Park. We were hoping to beat the heat AND the flies. great walk, really enjoyed the wildflowers, and only a few flies!
Mrs Felix had a rest at her computer after lunch, whilst Mr Felix tackled some newer caches by bike on the riesling trail which we first tackled back in 2014.
Once together again, we headed off in the geocruiser to tackle a few more caches to get away from the constant construction noise in the caravan park.
That Giraffe needs to go on a diet.

Away for a couple of days with TheWhiteDogGang.
We stayed at the free camping in Blyth and cached around Blyth, Brinkworth, Yacka, Spalding, Clare, Stanley Flat and surrounds.
Most caches found were in good order.
Was expecting this one to be a lot higher and in amore substantial tree. Easy 5T cache.

Yesterday afternoon I headed up to the Yorke Peninsula and beyond to find a few caches of interest and camp for the night. This morning I continued my journey, starting with some puzzle caches at Clements Gap before heading across to the Clare, Burra and eventually to Redbanks for the night.
The container was soon spotted and retrieved. Cache and contents are in good condition.
Thanks Jamms_SA for the cache.

Thanks

Another cache found on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. Another bitterly cold, wet day today and the sky is still touching the ground, a perfect day to Geocache. Certainly happy the winds have died down for this cache. Hilarious.
We are enjoying our time travelling SA, fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Our thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

logging as a beta tester. Also the person that came up with the idea of placing a perment cache above a JLWE temp game cache and the person that placed the cache in the tree with a extension pole.

Out with geo hubby Animal62 on this sunny but windy Saturday & thought to stop & grab this cache.

Even more trekkin' with the great Frog'n'cat adventure of '22... and then some spare days after
Plenty of scenic photos. Some 4wd and many miles.
Occasionally we looked for boxes in the bush of course !!! Got our priorities right...
Yes we would have been right here under Gerald just a few weeks ago. He enjoyed coming down to earth, but has returned to great heights with a new trackable too.
Thank you Jamms_SA for placing and maintaining this cache on our country geo-travel map

Out in the back searching, spotting and signing cache logs with Purrfect Di, Jack, and the Froghoppin Duo, using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Plenty of that luck stuff actually !!!
*Logs are composed and published with love using GSAK of course.*

Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Watch out for sand traps, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and sharp rocks in your tyres
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on
Now that there are no real restrictions - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Heaps good of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
Thanks so much for reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again !

Logging this one as a Beta tester...and a member of the JAMMS crew. I bet Gerald has great views from his lofty home.
Cache #11627
Headed north to the Clare area for a Monday Meander with SA Sewer Rats and TeamAstro.
This was one of quite a variety found during an enjoyable day caching with excellent weather and good company.
Was keen to show off my pole skills here but it would appear they're a bit rusty. I blame it on an overweight Gerald. Still managed to get him down and back up without damaging anything.
Thanks to Jamms_SA for putting out this cache for us to find.

Now what a happy chappy. The sun was shining right on him. Pic.
A whip around on a sunny day with ttrogg and SA Sewer Rats saw us ticking off some of the caches in the wonderful Clare region. How did we resist all the refreshment options - or did we?!!
Thanks to Jamms_SA and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

It was time for a Monday Meander. The trio consisted of SA Sewer Rats, Astro and ttrog.
We had a lovely sunny day, for our day of caching.
We cached our way from the Rat's den to Clare and surrounds.
Gerald really did have a good view.
The cache was quickly located, stamped and returned the cache as found. Tftc

Gerald is a bit weighty ...
The pole looked like it was hauling in a whopper when trying to put him back!
Resorted to the other TOTT to easily put him aloft...

Thanks
