Had to time our visit with the number of people walking past. Took a while to find then replace Great place for a walk
After spending far too long finding a park, a bathroom and waiting on an ice cream to be made we are now rushing to the nearby Earthcache location as we can see the tide coming in from here! Luckily this little fellow didnt give us too much trouble at GZ. Thanks G_2
Mr KBclan took today off work so we could have a 'date' day while kids were at school. We headed out to piha for lunch and some catching. What a perfect day it was, sun shining, wind was low. Spring is in the air. Our interpretation of the Hint sent us the wrong way but we eventually found it! We wanted to try for the earth caches but we ran out of time as we needed to be back for school bell. TFTC
The cache was watching me!! We got it pretty quickly. I got it out with Wisewarrior and Littlehawk. TFTC
First cache in New Zealand. Found this one quickly on the way to the beach.TFTC
Found together with Heureka10.Thanks for the cache.Greetings from Czech Republic.
Found together with Kendar05. Thank you for the cache. Greetings from Czech Republic.
Piha was beautiful. The Lion Rock laid in the glistening water. The huge waves playing their own melodie. The sun burning from above. A perfect day. Not for a cacher though. After visiting three other Caches - all a DNF - I tried one last cache for the day. A proof of visiting Piha today and in this vacation. I read the hint which seemed to be easy enough. Last log was successful. And I was hopeful to find this one as well. But at first, nothing. I checked the hint again and looked in another direction and there he was! Looking at me with big round eyes. We are enjoying looking around New Zealand, full of wonderful places, landscapes and attractions. And so its always good to come across some caches when visiting new places.Thank you to all Cache owners for the caches and their maintenance and making this a wonderful around the world hobby.Thank you for this place with a traditional cache and greetings from Germanyaussi96
We walked along the beach and found the spot. Was an easy find after initially being confused with directionality.
With a clear day in the calendar, a plan was hatched to round up some friends and head out to Piha for an adventure. Anytime the Team SEAC crew are together its always an adventure. You can't predict what might happen but always know its going to be a good time. After the recent documentary about the people that have vanished in the area there was a bit of talk about that along the way but who knows what actually happened!! It started out pretty cold but soon warmed up and we enjoyed that pure wild west coast scenery.Took us a few moments to get our bearings right here but then we were soon signing the log. Thanks for the cache.
A message went out a couple of days ago to the Team SEAC crew asking who was keen on a day caching at Piha. We decided to join the fun, and as per usual with a SEAC outing there were many laughs along the way. Out today was Keylev, NZIceman, Cragger, NZT and HeMaLuDy. This was our first visit out this way and the coastline did not disappoint. We might have searched in all directions before finding the cache, exactly where the hint said. Love the container.
Today a few of the team SEAC crew decided to spend the day at Piha. For some of our crew it was their first time at Piha and Piha put on quite a wild show after yesterdays squally storms blew through. Luckily today was calmer and sunny. We cached into Piha, enjoying the caches along Piha road, including finding a lonely cache that hadnt been found for a while. A picnic lunch was also had in some shade and then home again for a well deserved wine!Had to check a few spots before finally getting this one, then the cache name made sense. TFTC!
Been over 6yrs since I was last at Piha. Drizzly weather meant nobody was around! Empty carparks galore. Made a nice quick find here. [TFTC]
On our long term trip from Germany to Western Australia / Tasmania / New Zealand for about 3,5 month, we arrived New Zealand and picked up some caches. We went to Piha, where we had 5 overnights during Christmas. This one was an easy and quick found After a short walk along the beach. TFTC
What a beautiful view of Piha beach. First time to the Tasmania seaside! Very enjoyable! TFTC JOH/T/N
Found with Pprime`, on our amazing holiday. Today was driving from Paihia to Piha and in to Auckland. The rain had eased offnhere and so we could check out this amazing sand. Cache found (eventually)
Accio 16:09:40On our much anticipated first real holiday together with T4mmmy - and we have travelled to the far far north - a whole new world - and now heading back south to Auckland. After such a lovely sunny day yesterday - the weather caught up to us today - but we were mistly driving so no worries. Came out here to check the Black Sand - the geography of NZ is awesome. Thankfully the rain had all but ceased, so enjoyed the beach immensely. Quick find here once T4 taught me to count again. Thanks G-2 for entertaining me at this location. *{Overall find #11628}*
Struggled to find it despite the coords and instructions. Finally found it after retracing our steps - TFTC!
I headed to Piha today to take in the views and admire the beach.
Unfortunately due to the recent devastation, the track up Lion Rock is closed.
It was quite a shock to see the state of the buildings.
The cache was quickly found

Decided to go for a walk in the Piha area today and with an unfound cache 20m away from our parking spot I couldn’t miss the chance to grab this one. The find didn’t take too long (cache safe and well) so happily signed the log, took a couple of pictures of Lion Rock and proceeded with my wander. TFTC!
Piha Adventure again.
Trust your device not the hint they say ...
I didn`t ...
It took a few moment to locate at the right spot.

Tried to find this one a few weeks ago, and got into a bit of a tangle, counting the wrong posts
Returned today with reinforcements: littleblackbird1, rebel98 and gorby
This time happy to be signing the log, once the container was opened, a tricky wee thing.
Thanks for the hide G-2, a fun find today

After a bit of searching, yes! Saw it looking at us . Parked the car right beside the walkway. Had a nice day at Piha with boggieboarding, walking and picnic, even if the water was quite chilly.
Our second day in Piha. To drive away the jet lag, a nice walk on the beach. A few cans searched and found. Here you have to be able to count correctly Thank you for the cache. Greetings from Germany.
Lovely weather for a caching excursion to Piha, in the company of both Tracey and Roy of Team Welsh.
We arrived at South Piha, parked up and made our way to GZ. First attempt we clearly counted in the opposite direction to that done by the CO. Soon had that sorted and the cache in hand. TFTC.

So many new caches out here so well worth the trip from home to meet up with Mr and Mrs KC and find whatever took out fancy. Followed the GPS and the cache was soon found, the hint confused us so was glad of the accurate coords. Lots of people going out for a surf today but caching was on our mind. TFTC
Headed out to Piha with AliGle today for a bit of an explore. Had parked fairly close to GZ here, then after a walk out to the lookout we then made a quick find of this unusual cache. TFTC!
A few muggles around here too, but Vistra and I chose our moment carefully and soon the cache was in hand. Lovely spot. Tftc
Having a fun day at Piha today getting 7 newish caches!
Thanks G-2 for placing some more out here....easy find.

I came out to Piha because I love this place! But also because there was a new cache published and it was the C.O's very first cache hide. This was at the top of Kitekite falls. I meant to put a cache there myself (as the C.O knows), either top or bottom of the falls didn't bother me, but if you snooze you lose. Never did find that cache today so missed out on the ftf.
But all is good, I came here to this 'eye spy' cache instead and did various caches put out by Glyn-the-only-one but not his bodyguard, she has long been retired back to Russia by means of a decree that stated that all bodyguards must be returned to their rightful owners after G-2 was resurrected for tax purposes. At that time he has since breathed life into many caches since. No sign of him retiring anytime soon. (OK... the madness of this story goes back a long way.... G-2 will have to explain I'm sorry, I don't have time for this nonsense).
Cache all good here today despite being eyed spied upon G.

Made it harder for myself than what it should have been, once I counted correctly it was a quick find. TFTC G2. Signed SXB
Being our first Matariki public holiday there were a few surfers preparing to brave the cold but they were far enough away to not notice us look for the cache. I checked out one spot while Nette checked out another and she found the cache
MrsJAG was supposed to be meeting up with a muggle friend for a walk, but the muggle friend is in isolation with COVID. As it was a stunning Winter's day (even if it was a little cold) MrsJAG headed out to Piha to find the newly released caches.
This was the second stop and there was parking very close to gz being midweek. There were a lot of surfers out in the water but no muggles around gz, so was able to search without being watched. Checked a few hint items, before coming up with a cheeky little cache. TFTC and the second of a trifecta of {FTF} today.
