Found today but couldnt open cache. Logging this with permission from McJandals. TFC
I am not a biker at all. The aerial skills of the young riders were amazing, but I did not wish I could join them. The cache is safe here as these guys are flying (literally) past. Thanks for bringing us here Mc Jandals.
easy walk to GZ3 guys working on track very near.found cache container as per description that blends in well with surroundings.TFTC
A quick walk up to find this after a coffee at the nearby cafe. Cool spot! And a great hide here, TFTC!
Quick walk up the bike tracks to this great cache. Good hide, blends in well. TFTC
Second time searching while taking kids out for an afternoon ride. Found last weekend Sunday 24/3/24 but forgot to log. TFTC
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Signapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. Yesterday we drove from Tongariro National Park to Rotorua to participate in the Rotorua Walking Festival. Today is the first day of this IML walk. We are lucky because there was quite some rain yesterday afternoon and during the night but now the weather is lovely. A clear blue sky and an exuberantly shining sun, but not too hot. Since the schedule it a bit thight for us (42km within nine hours) there is not much time for geocaching but we cant restist having a look for this one. Fortunately we manage to find it quickly without any problem. Thank you very much for this cache.
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia we arrived in Rotorua where we attended the Rotorua Walking Festival.Today is the first walking day and this cache was found.**Mc Jandals**, thanks for the cache.
Awkward to actually get to GZ but perseverance paid off. Had to look out for flying bikes though! At GZ ATM reached up for a QEF. Left new log paper as it was a brown from rain and rust. TFTC and greetings from the UK
Quick find. Quiet here today. Signed log with difficulty. Needs maintenance TFTC
On a walk with GAR and one of our daughters while spending the weekend in the area to run a course at a dog event. The path on the app didn't eventuate where it was supposed to so 'cross countried' it to GZ. A quick find but couldn't open the container. Decided no-one was going to be looking for it for a half hour so took it back to the car to gently use a tool. Came open easily there. Log needs maintenance but found a spot to autograph. Thanks for the hide McJandals, might not have come here had it not been for the cache!
Thankfully no one in the bike park today so we were able to search unimpeded. A photo helped. TFTC
My husband and I have been trying to find this cache for a while now! So happy to have found it! Tyftc - W/ kilo2bravo- also we did weren't able to write on the cache as it needs maintenance
Found! Struggled to get this open, but some gentle rock taps did the trick. The log is too wet to be written on. Thanks!
Previous dnf did have the cache but didn’t know to open it. I only hope they put it back there.
We have visited the Redwood Forest a few times now but never completed any Geocaches here. So on this trip our aim was to collect a few.
We had dropped Junior Bear at the main MT biking track but will bring him here next time.
We found what we think is part of the container so we have messaged the owner.

Surprisingly quiet here today, a great spot in the bush and a quick find before continuing exploring some more of the trails, TFTC
Nice one, I have a similar cache. All out of energy, or I'd give some of this park a go...though I'm a bit of a nana rider these days if truth be told ️ TFTC!
Found after a thorough search
Not sure if the co ords got us in the right place
Nice cache !
Thanks

Out attempting to teach my 5yr old grandson to ride a bike while his big sister was trying out a couple of trails. Big sister has returned so we walked up the hill to visit the pump track. Missy B (9) isn’t ready for this challenge yet and neither am I! A very cool area for the young and fearless. We made a quick find and then walked out on the lower track. TFTC
Down in Rotorua for a few days break and walking with some of the grandchildren in the redwoods. My six year old grandson is just getting into geocaching but my son beat him to this one. Great spot, TFTC
Out for a walk to boost my steps and find some caches with melikebikes. Took me a while to spot this one. This style was my very first find ever! Tftc
My first attempt in finding this resulted in a DNF but not today.
I’ve recently had such a bad run of DNFs that I was doubting my ability to write TFTC.
I left work a few hours earlier as my mind wasn’t on the job today. I had been thinking about geocaching or the lack of for the last couple of weeks. Today was going to be the day.
My previous search was at dusk and lasted for a good 30 minutes or so and I had walked away very disappointed.
I read the hint and thought this may be a debacle as I didn’t have any tweezers on me. Once at GZ I soon spotted the prize. On opening, I improvised and with a grin from ear to ear signed the log.
I must say, I walked away with an extra spring in my step.

Thanks for your amazing cache. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Cheers, Cympull.
I remember Dodzy he use to Mt bike with my son. . Buzzybb found this one quite quickly. Luckily no one here today. Tftc

Dodzy is definitely a name well known among the MTB community, I knew the name but never met him.
This is our last cache for the redwoods for today, just the lakefront one to go before home time!
Hint was spot on, no probs with this one.

A few people enjoying the tracks around here today, but not where we were luckily. Nice and easily located. Tftc
The second week of school holidays… My niece stayed overnight in the hope that I’d take her caching. I didn’t want to disappoint her…
This was first on our short list. We wandered up the track to an interesting yet unfamiliar (to us) section of the Redwoods. After turning a quick 360, we spotted the cache straight away. Thanks Mc Jandals and TFTC.

Visited today and cache gone. Not even a week old. I have replaced. PLEASE take care when searching. I can see where people have scratched away everything taking the cache with it.

As my write note from yesterday says I'd seen this new listing after walking on a higher path but remarkably close to GZ. When I woke up today I noted it was still not logged as found once I fired up the phone and headed out when dressed shortly afterwards. Was keen for a BOP regional FTF, as I already have 9 other regions 'bagged', ever the stat-chaser. At GZ I checked as per the hint and the cache was found a la Vin Diesel film, gone in 60 Seconds. Took me longer to unravel the brand new log, then sign. {FTF} at 0810, in Rotorua for weekend, leaving in a couple of hours. I like this BOP pay it forward idea, we did similar in Marlborough a few years ago. Thanks McJandals.
The weather had been predicted to be wet today all through the week but slowly changed as time went by. We'd already agreed it would be an easy day with a stroll around the CBD and shops and lunch out. I took advantage of a predicted dry spell first up before breakfast to whip out and find a few, and a nice first visit to Hannah's Bay, lovely area to take mrs c to in the future.
Having travelled down from Northland, via Auckland, on Thursday we were keen for our 3 day visit to Rotorua and surrounds with some weather challenges possible. Vowing to get the best we can from our visit, we had a great time visiting and grabbed a few caches (more quality than quantity) as well as a bonus FTF on the last morning before heading home. Surprised to beat the locals to the Gold medal on their turf but good to get my tenth regional NZ FTF.
It's time to meet grandchild number 16 and a previously booked break to say hi, or await arrival, is now here. We are off to Northland via an overnight in Auckland, then 2 nights in Ngunguru then a trip down to Rotorua before heading back home next week.
Thanks to all COs for their hides today.

FapnGap and Squirel Nutcase and I have come away for the long weekend caching. Just got back to Rotorua this cache has been on the radar while away thought I would come up in the dark on my way home to see what’s happening the clue couldn’t be any more particular it’s spot on made a nice quick find here this evening all of 30 seconds cache is in good condition. Thanks for hiding the cache I really appreciate your hides we don’t seem to get a lot of new caches hidden in Rotorua despite the local rule of hide a cache for each FTF so I love it when we have a nice straight forward hide. FP from me I will look for your other hide later in the week.
This isn't the original log, which was a lot of grumpy writing and I got justifiably called out on it. The time spent here led to a DNF. Will give it another go when I'm in a better frame of mind and the area dried out enough for a more thorough search.
Walked past here at 1600 today, completely unaware and a 2 day old PQ. Another time then. Even saw a backpack on a bench at what was likely GZ, a likely searcher
No good for me as well. Spent about an hour, mostly with the place to myself. Used a camera to look in the low down possibilities. Will put on watch.
