We had had a nice walk completing the AdLab, and then drove back to here to collect the bonus cache. Although it had been nice and quiet earlier, I ended up just behind a slow walking family, so sat on the bench until they were out of sight. I had just found the cache and was signing it when I heard them coming back. Luckily they walked past me, and I replaced the cache and sneaked back to the car.

Completed the AL a couple of days ago and stopped to grab this before leaving the area. Took a few minutes but got there in the end. TFTC.

Day 20: To Howick and through the Rotary WalkTodays journey took us to the East of Auckland where we spent a little bit of time exploring Howick before I embarked on a long walk from Pigeon Mountain to Panmure via the Rotary Walkway. It was a beautiful walk along the Tamaki River which I really enjoyed. Thanks for all the caches in the area, these will be some of my last caches on this trip to NZ!(End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache: Grabbed this one after doubling back from the last stage of the AL. A very nice end to the first half of the walk here, and thanks for showing all the fun bits of the area. Easy find at the GZ with the good hint, so TFTAL and the cache!

I am out and about out East Auckland way this afternoon taking advantage of some rare fine winter weather to get some exercise and some finds. Collecting the information for Part 2 of the Rotary Walkway was most definitely on my agenda for the day. With that done and a day's worth of caching behind me I made sure to stop by this ground zero before I left the area and headed for home. I parked up and made the short walk to ground zero. Took a little searching but the cache was soon found after a few minutes of searching. Always nice to sign off on a bonus hide. Right, now it is time to hit the road for Lostcourse HQ. Cheers for the ad lab bonus cache placement and for the exercise!

Easter Sunday and I am up in Auckland with eyespyben and ABCDF4 to grab a few caches while people are away.
The focus was actually these 2 Ad Labs (but collect others along the way). Once completed it was off to the bonus cache. Mr ABCDF4 soon had this one in hand and then it was back to the car for lunch. Thank you for the placement.

Today I was heading over to a mate's place in Howick. But not due there until around 1pm. So what's a man to do? Go caching off course. I had my eye on these 2 ad labs of this C.O for a while now, and knew they were just waiting for me to bring along my e-bike!

I parked up at the Pakuranga Sailing Club carpark and set east from there, a logical place to start. Got to the end up by Pigeon Mountain Rd just to see what's what and came back. I sorted the co-ords while up there sitting down in the long grass. Not too hot today, a good breeze about.

Got to GZ and after a minute I found the hide, nice one! Only had to wait a few seconds to return the cache due to muggles with push chairs. A FP from me.

But then... wait there's more! I had noticed the Dick Quax sign as I passed, it said Dick Quax did his 5000m world record in **13mins 12.86 secs**. Boy that is flying! I wonder if I can do that on my e-bike... try to break his record.

So I started from the Wakaaranga Creek sign and timed myself using Strava (to map the course and time) and also set the odometer on my bike to zero and off I went! I didn't stop, I got up to 25km/hr when possible, but off course Dick Quax was on a flat track and didn't have to contend with muggles, curves and hills, and push chairs, wouldn't that have been funny to watch. Got to the 5000m mark on my odometer and stopped the clock on Strava and I did **13mins 47secs**, so NOOOO.... I did not break his record, I missed out by 34 seconds. I think I would have done it without muggles, might try again one day. Definitely would have beaten it on a track circuit though...lol. Anyway, a bit of fun for me.

The wind was so strong in places along the trail but what an awesome trail it is with its ad labs and variety of caches..after completing the ad lab the information was tallied up and I was at GZ in no time...some times these simple basic hides are very testing...it took me a while to locate the container..it was very pleasing to sign this off..thanks Thecoblets for a great adlab along bonus cache

I am not as skilled a cyclist as Macwatt so he was already searching when I arrived. After a second look this cache was spotted. Thanks for setting up this Ad Lab and bonus cache the Coblets

Out on a final walk with a few people before we leave, nice to select this walkway with some caches, an AL and stuff for muggles.

One of the several caches we got today during our walk, was a nice easy find. Everything fine here.

Thanks for the fun!

Nice quick find, thankfully not near the “other” end of the wall that currently resembles a swamp! Thanks for the ad lab and bonus cache.

I found myself in Auckland this week to attend a course on Tuesday and Wednesday. Added on a day to do a bit of caching today. Found this one while walking the Rotary Walkway doing the Adventure Lab part 2. I was pleased to make a quick find here as the weather was packing up and I had a reasonable walk back to my car. A nice quick find. A fov point fot the ad lab and bonus. LAst find of the day. Thanks for placing your cache.

Ms_KR and I are in Auckland Auckland for a break and we are exploring the region while we are based here. A lovely sunny day and we headed out East. The traffic coming home was as expected, SLOW!

Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

After completing the first Rotary adventure lab, we decided to continue on and complete the second Rotary adventure lab. There are repairs being done on the Seawall so we had to take a short detour on the roads between the 2 adventure labs, but this did not stop us getting the information we required.
After visiting the waypoints we made our way to gz and soon spotted the likely hiding spot.
Thanks for setting up these adventure labs and bonuses

I got offered a chaufeur-driven day today by Supernanny and I wasn't going to turn that down.

We had a lovely morning in the sunshine (a tad different from our previous expedition out this way when it rained all day) walking bits of the walkway and driving to the necessary access points along the way. I was trying to get my new knee working. We collected all the required info to get this cache.

Cheers for the cache.

Had a free day today....as did Tufty...so we decided to join forces and go and do this newish AdLab!
Many thanks Coblets ...Walked this whole walkway many times with the Nordic Walking Group many years ago when I was a lot fitter.
Enjoyed the easy clues to get the final co ords.... and then it was off to the bonus.
So lucky the weather stayed sunny for us!
Cheers.

Out on the Rotary Walkway today with Team Welsh on a grey and showery day. After completing the first series of Ad Labs we were keen to move on to Part 2. Managed to get caught in a shower at the Snakes and Ladders, and there seemed to be numerous groups of high school students walking the path today, but we had no troiuble completing the Ad Labs. We worked out the coords for this Bonus and made our way there for a quick find. Enjoyed our walk today, thanks.

Enjoyed our walk along here when we did the first Ad Lab so when we saw another one had been published it didnt take us long before we were back again. Visited each of the waypoints and collected the information needed. Worked out the coords for the bonus and made a nice quick find.

Nice and handy bonus hide for the Adventure Lab. Walkway was very busy today so I had to wait a bit to pick it up. TFTC!

I had completed the 1st ad lab with Mr and Mrs KC so we moved onto this one. Phone on low battery and fortunately it lasted until the last wp, buzzed that it was within the geofence and then died. Fortunately as I was with other people they were able to direct me towards the final. Had a great time along the walkway and thanks for setting up the 2 ad labs.

Out with Merlot
Had to wait for a gap between muggles on this very popular walkway to sign this one.

Rather chuffed to get the FTF on both part 1 & part 2 of the Rotary Walkway Bonus ALs.
Set out walking from home heading to the Rotary path. My torch helped with the answers & midway between the WPs it rained heavily. No longer needed the torch to guide me cos the moon reappeared & lit the wet path.
Nobody was around pre dawn so had all the path & city reflections to myself.
Got all the info & made my way to GZ to make a nice quick find.
TFTC Big Grin
Thanks Coblets

This is a lovely walkway so it was great to have an excuse to return for another Ad Lab. We parked up at the Pigeon Mountain end and headed to the wetlands which I'd never been to before though the track to it was rather muddy after all the recent rain. From there we continued on and as we were eyeing up the threatening rain clouds I heard my name called out and a passing muggle happened to be a former colleague who I hadn't seen for a couple of years! We had a quick catch up then continued on our way. Once we had visited all the wps we headed to the final. The walkway was very busy this morning but we managed to have a lucky break between muggles and could make the find undisturbed. Thanks for the Adlab and bonus
