After spending yesterday in the crowds at Mount Cook I was craving some peace and quiet. This set of caches seemed like just the ticket. Dumped the car on the side of the road (is that allowed?) and spent a happy time walking around the route.TFTC!(Signed SQG)
We tried to find this one on our drive in but there was a car entering the ponds behind us so we had to drive on. Beeba biked down to this cache and found it easily.
we got around to the ford and noone felt keen to bike through. Came back to the corner and i biked down to grab this. We had cars behind up on the way in so missed it.

We are from Abilene, Texas, USA and have come to New Zealand to visit with a friend. We plan on going after different Cache Types while here. We will also find geocaches while going sight seeing.
Thank you, Bitsprayer for placing this cache for all to find. We sign log sheets either as Love Cachers or LCers.
Driving over 50 miles to have...
Rusty barbed wire ripping through your clothes...
Curious rattlesnakes that come out of nowhere...
Itchy mosquito bites on every inch of your body...
A 40 mph wind gust blowing sand into your ears, nose and mouth...
Cactus needles getting stuck deep in your hands, arms and legs...
Thorny Mesquite trees scratching you up from head to toe...
Some or all of these things on a hike through 101° heat...
To sign your name or trade a toy...
SOUND LIKE FUN TO YOU?
It does to us, we're geocachers in West Texas! - {Taken from a Greater Abilene Association geocoin.}

I use to have a lot of yellow here. Now little is left and a whole lot of green that needs converted to yellow. Went to the wrong post here at first.
#22173. Quick find here. I seem to remember the nearby water race was rather noisy here. TFTC.
StreetWalkerNZ and I had never been to Bortons Pond before, but now there are heaps of caches here, it was a must do while we are staying in the area.
Another quick find on our way in. TFTC.

A meander home taking on the inland route. What a lovely place on a lovely day. Would never have known about this pond if it wasn't for geocaching. A quick grab on the way out. TFTC
A nice quick find, on the narrow road in. Thanks for placing your cache.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee drive to Invercargill and back. Today we made it as far as Oamaru. It was overcast all day.
