WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 65 - Swan Valley Perth Day 10. My last Suburban county was today. It turns out I have been in and through Nedland a few times already, but just Labs so far. I had a mixed result from my list of caches today. Some of the camo is way too good for me. I then moved back to Subiaco and had a great walk around the main town centre and enjoyed myself before driving home via a couple more caches to round out my day. The day finished with shopping and cooking at home.Well, akLuger may love paperbarks, but I certainly do not. They have beaten me several times now. Some odd items uncovered but not container. I hope the one and only item I did find a few meters from the tree was not the cache, I could not get anything further out of it with the top off. Thanks.Albida
This one took quite a while. Coordinates pretty spot on and I had the right idea, but just didn't quite get the right spot for a good while. PAF to ask about a possible host before I fiddled with it which I was grateful for as it would have been wrong and it also confirmed my theory about the host. Still took another 5-10 minutes before I finally had the cache in hand. Thanks for the hide
Find 8 of 18 with four DNFs on a mission to clear up the Dalkeith/Nedlands map - by bike, naturally. After getting soaked this morning, the afternoon weather was much more pleasant.Like kimmorley we had the wrong idea here which meant a bit of bouncing between a few trees. Should have trusted the co-ords which were pretty good after all. A change of tack and then the cache was in hand, nicely done.TFTC ____akluger!
It's there, painful to look for due to incorrect comments from others saying coordinates wrong. The coordinates are right. Just look there. Tfth
Couple of metres away from listed coordinates, but nice quick find once search radius widened
Ooh this one had me looking in all the wrong spots for totally the wrong thing. Could have kicked myself when I finally found it. Great camo... Glad the kids were all too busy to notice me. TFTC
After two DNFs this was a welcome find! Good camo, here’s a fav point because I’m nice.
Went caching this morning in Nedlands and Dalkeith. This was the first find after 2 DNFs.
Nice work here..the streak continues into 2023..quiet new years early morning but already a number of joggers and dog walkers around..relatively quick find here..cache and log in excellent condition tftc
Thank you! This was fun to find. Not sure what is meant by not removing it as one can't help but do that to get at the log (which is full, BTW). Had had lunch nearby and couldn't resist a cache so close. Visiting WA from Canada. Paperbark is a bit like paper birch trees at home, only not so white.

Had us scratching our heads for a while but got there in the end thanks to geowife thinking a little further out of the box than I did. TFTC!
Glad this cache was hidden out of the park because being school holidays, it was full of muggles! The title helped us pinpoint the location of the cache and we found the sneaky hide soon after.

Having completed the nearby adventure lab with a Canpmellow jnr and the geo princesses, having little much and stuff me play time, we went in search of some nearby caches. This one was a quick find by the eldest TFTC
Finally catching up with some more logging! Another day and another find, happy to say we came up trumps here and walked away with a smiley TFTC
Grandma and Grandad had found this one so I went looking once the tablet settled.
Log signed Gwawr and Gwiber.
Log replaced as found.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

This one was a bit too close to the playground for my liking. After searching the likely spot unsuccessfully I switched my focus and made a quick find. Tftc
Out with Cockburn Crew cleaning up mostly new hides down south. Quick find.
Thanks for the hide

Found it but there’s no log in it anymore. So bizarre! I’ve taken a photo (which I won’t attach) and signed a piece of paper bark which I left in the white tube. Thanks for the hide and sorry about the bad news.
Out on an evening run for a first to find. Afterwards we popped over to this one. Cheers ____akluger!

Had this notification come through as I was along the PT series and scrambled back to the car and up the freeway.
Parked up close to GZ and started to walk over to where I was pointed and spotted a figure close to where I was heading, wondering if I’d been beaten to the punch and was pleased to discover it was the CO stopping past to check the cache.
Found signed and replaced quickly and was having a chat when some more hunters turned up.
Bit more of a chat and we went on our separate ways.

With the kids in a holiday program at Murdoch the plan for the day was to clear up some of the PT caches nearby and then head to Henderson to tackle the series in the bush land there.
The first part of the plan went well and was just setting off for the last couple of PT caches when the ping of a new cache had me scrapping the plans and heading to the western suburbs.
After finishing up at the new cache I stayed in the area for a while before heading to Booragoon to grab a few more caches and the new adventure lab before heading back to Murdoch and picking up the kids.
After a wide ranging day I came home with 17 finds, 5 adventure labs and 2 DNF’s.
