TFTC. On our way from Taup to Hamilton, last cache of the day. Log paper too damp to write - it needs replacing
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I now live full-time in our caravan & travel the country visiting places we want to visit & doing the things that we want to do we had been staying at Mangakino & decided that we would walk to the nearby Suspension Bridge and, of course, do some caching while out and about this was an easy find, log signed & cache container easily replaced pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:SL ... #4,881 for us!
Cache was found but was unable to be written on due to the paper being damp and container holding moisture
Thanks for your amazing cache ma1sa. I really appreciate the time you took to set up and maintain your caches. Missed this on the way out but conquered it on the way backCheers, Cympull.
Thanks again, good to find this on the way back after missing the last one. Cheers.
5th for the day. Good spotting once again by Mr PorknPuha.Had been searching for a bit. Waited for a few cyclist to ride by.A good find, grab, sign and flee.TFTC
Went for morning walk then decided to see what new caches have appeared. Initially, I couldn't spot it, but came back later with a pen so I could have another attempt and log. Got a bit confused with hint, but eventually found after process of eliminating punga stumps.TFTC
A nice little lakeside walk, picking up a couple of caches on the way. Can imagine its a busier walkway in summer. TFTC
We took a bit longer to locate this one than we should have as we focused on the wrong hint item and looked in slightly the wrong place, but we soon refocused our geosenses and had the cache in hand.
A nice cache to start this trail that we have been planning to do for a while now. And we were blessed with a beautiful day as well.

The start of the pathway, the dog is loving the scent of the rabbits, so is busy pulling me this way and that! TFTC

Staying at the Island doing some freedom camping so decided we would go in search of some caches. A nice quick find. TFTC
Very quick find here using the hint, thanks for the placement and the smiley.

I had a sit down while I thought about the hint.
As i looked around, I saw a likely spot and sure enough, there it was.
Thanks for setting this up

This was my plan today to walk to the suspension bridge. A fun run/walk was also being held along the track. Lucky enough I was here at the tail end of it. Just a couple groups making their way along. A drink station was not far from the cache.
But was please gz was far enough along the track I couldn't be seen making the grab. Tftc.

We have cycled from the Whakamaru camp to Maungakino and are now heading back again, this time paying attention to collecting some geocaches along the way. TFTC
Travelling north to Rotorua from Lower Hutt for Christmas - its a two whole day journey, because I keep stopping at places like this. Actually the reason I am in Whakamaru/Mangakino is because here is one of only six caches in the country needed to complete a challenge cache in Kapiti. And while I am here I may as well see what Mangakino has to offer. See? I did say it takes two days to drive to Rotorua from Lower Hutt!Nice trail.
This is a lovely area - will have to come back and do the whole walk sometime. But for today, just a quick couple of caches with jagersmum and punga and paua after grabbing a nearby FTF. This one was a nice quick find - pretty much arrived at GZ and said it should be there I reckon, yep there it is. Nice one. TFTC!!!
Drove as far as we could and then hunted this one down. Quick find using the hint. TFTC.
We were in Mangakino today to do a successful FTF (FMZ, Punga and Paua and I). We decided to proceed to lake next to find food. After enjoying the lake view and and the amazing toasties, smoothie and chips from the food truck, we felt energised again and made our way to find this cache and another one. Lovely location. My first time there. Thank you for the cache!
First on the pathway today. What a good facility this is for motorhome friendly Mangakino.
Loved our stay on the waterfront..

Passing this way after a lovely stay in the Pureora forest over the week end. Far too fine to go home too quickly, so finding the odd cache or two on the way. Very pleasant area here, lots of families out enjoying themselves. Cache found exactly as the clue said. All good. TFTC
bit of a search here to locate this one.
couple of spots it could have been.
now back to the car.
hemi carrying dog as she had run out of steam.
that's what happens when we forget these longer walks.

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… Usually, Labour Weekend is one of our favourite times to cache. But this time, things are different. (Shock… Horror!) We have other non-caching activities in store for this weekend… It was mid afternoon when we set of down the track with the dog.
The poor dog was really struggling with the extended exercise (She’s a very old girl)! About three quarters of the way back, she stood on the path and refused to go any further. Luckily, she’s a little dog, so I picked her up and carried her back to the car at the trailhead… There was just this cache left to find. We had lots of possibilities to investigate before spotting this hide. Thanks mar1sa and TFTC.

This took a bit longer to find than it should have with my daughter being the one to say I've got it. TFTC
Enjoying a bike ride along here, mist just lifting off the lake and sun peeking through. Thanks for the cache.
Out for an afternoon walk and geocache with a couple of the kids. Over cast today so made a nice day for it not to hot took us a couple of hours return trip about 7 km from playground carpark. Good hint here lead to a quick find. Tftc
Travelling back to Rotorua today and this seemed an ideal place for some exercise and a few caches. Parked up and got the bike out. What a wonderful track to cycle. Attempted 7 caches and found 5. Reasonably quick find here once I got my bearings. No need to trample the vegetation. Thanks for the smiley.
8145 ## Boges had come up with a plan to grab the new caches at Mangakino. This was the first of them. Opened it to find the cache had already been found. After signing we placed it back and got on our bikes. Thank you for the placement.
On a trip to the south Waikato with KGD. The weather was great and so was the company.
Boy it was cold getting on the bikes but getting a cache made us feel better tftc

#12,987. {FTF} at 10:55 and first day find. A short but wet walk in Mangakino. The pathway and GZ were all quiet at the time of our visit. Relatively quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
