I am down under for the very first time. ???? Visiting Australia has always been a dream of mine, and I cannot believe it has come true. Australia's nature and wildlife really captivated me. Over three weeks, I saw many wonderful beaches, sunsets, animals such as ????????, and I found great geocaches. My tour guide was mostly geocaching, and through it, I discovered many beautiful places I wouldnt have seen without our great hobby. I mainly stayed in Brisbane but also visited other gorgeous places such as Noosa Heads and Springbrook. I spent a few days on the Gold Coast and Moreton Island, and I went to New South Wales to have visited a second state in Australia. During my stay, the winter and early spring in Queensland were very warm, the sun shone every single day, and I did not see a single drop of rain. My time down under was so beautiful and unforgettable. Australia is such a stunning country!????? Today I spent a day in the Gold Coast. I really like this area and I discovered beautiful places. On this hot day I walked and cycled a lot. I also looked for many geocaches like this one. At GZ I found the cache easily. After signing the log I put the container back as found. Thank you for this geocache says Mr. J. Cacher from the other side of the world ????

We're heading down to Kirra Beach for the weekend and of coure the geomonsters were hungry by the time we reached Southport. While Sandra bought us all lunch at Peters Fish Market, I wandered up towards the roundabout to gain entry to the secure area where the boats were. I guessed what the container would be as I walked towards GZ.Thanks!!#3661

Tftc. I drove by this cache on christmas eve (or day before christmas eve) morning, but there was huge line of people waiting for gates to open, so I did not even try this cache that day. Today as the weather was windy and rainy, there was not much other people around. Parked my car, checked that I am some 5 meters from GZ, jumped out of my car and spotted the container right away. Thank you.

I initially tried taking the first turn-off (from the south), to then face a locked gate. I thought that access may not be permitted on this special Christmas holiday, but it quickly looked like there was activity behind the fence and cars coming in/out, so I then took the correct route to get into the Gold Coast Fishermens Co-op compound.Funnily enough, there were people clearly trying to get their fresh fish for Christmas meals, with only one fishing boat "open" and a queue formed. Another boat had prawns freshly blackboarded, before noting that they had sold out (probably needed to be here before parkrun!).Despite suspecting this cache camouflage/type, it still took a couple of loops before spotting the suited cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I noted that there was no sign of the last finder in the logbook. A Favourite Point as I enjoyed this location getting pointed out, as well as its terrific camouflage. Thanks [Aussie Liahona](https://coord.info/PR34PKD) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------Merry Christmas! The family celebrated Christmas staying in Robina in the Gold Coast, which provided an opportunity to visit geocaches in the region. This morning, it was an early start with Main Beach parkrun jogging 5 km while the heat and humidity increased. With no Christmas storms in sight, I headed north for geocaches along the Spit, and then targeted a few geocaches as I returned home to see the rest of the family. The beaches were busy along the Spit as people took advantage of the unexpected heat, and relaxed on the sand.

Another fantastic hide by the CO. Looked and looked, using the directions given - looked far and wide, and almost gave up. Then one of the occupants of the boats popped his head out and asked if we were looking for a thing - Smile and he confirmed we were in the right spot. One last look and an aha moment. I'd seen these before, but I think I had a preconceived idea of what I was looking for. Found with MrMagoo72 and grandson Connor. A definite fav vote from me. TFTC.

Caching around the north Gold Coast and stopped in here at the car park and after a short search the tricky hide was located. After signing we watched a trawler boat leave its berth. A FP given for the unique container.

With an early start to my easter break, i ventured out local to where we are staying to pick up a few nearby caches before having to commence some work from home. Being easter the carpark was near capacity this morning with loads of locals picking up their supply of seafood in advance of Good Friday. Luckily Ground zero was located at the end of the carpark that was unoccupied and away from the kilos of prawns being sold.

I could see the hide from the car, so it made a nice quick find and sign. Great way to kick off the morning.

Big thanks to the Cache Owner for making this cache available.

Oh yes, it's that most glorious of things; a Sunday with next to no plans! I decided this afternoon to get out for a bit of a drive and settled on a first stop nearly at Springbrook. I had driven through a storm on the highway, clouds in the mountains and walked through rain to geocaches, but still had more time. No worries, there's geocaches around Southport I want, so why not go for a bit of a detour on the way home?

Many, many times I've eaten from Peters, so knew this area well. I arrived at the usual area behind the shop to pause and eat a falafel I'd bought near a previous geocache. I absolutely pondered a second-dinner of fish and chips, but didn't get there.

Nearing the end of watching the tide through raindrops on my windscreen, I noted that GZ didn't make sense for where I was seated. I poked about on satellite view and realised the co-op next door exists, entry off the roundabout. Hey, every day a school day!

I drove the quick lap and entered into the fishing boats area. Nobody seemed to be selling wares and only two or three fisher-folks getting about. I did my best impressopn of "watching the water" while I leaned against a pole and retrieved the geocache. Classic hide right here!

Logbook signed and replaced at 16:45. The cloud was still below the highest buildings, and the traffic heading north to home was negligible. Unheard of for a Sunday afternoon. This has been a good afternoon. Thanks for the geocaches, Aussie Liahona Smile

10.28am
Down on the Gold Coast with RoddyC hatzofff and Imbunda attending 2 events and caching in between.
Found parking nearby and after searching a likely hide and came up with the cache. Signed log and returned as found. Saw a few large fish swimming around near the boats but no fishing allowed and I was disappointed to say the least. Prawns were on sale too.

Down on the Gold Coast again today for my whale research survey. I had a bit of time to kill before the boat departure so decided to quickly check this cache out. Woah! Such a beautiful location. Luckily no too many people were around this morning as I felt like such a suspicious being haha. TFTC! I love these type of hides.
