Love breaking a dry spell on a lonely, multi-dnf cache. Havent had my first FTF yet but I reckon it feels like this. Cache is where both the name and gps suggests, with an interesting GL and cute cache type Ive only heard about but not seen. May have been disturbed but my torchlight picked up what I thought was rubbish. Re-hid closer to GLLog a little damp but still signable (pic for proof that it was found! )Mihi ki a koe mo te keteroki #271

My attention was diverted as there was something at the posted coordinates that looked like it might have been cover for a cache. As there was no sign of one I thought maybe it was missing.Fortunately I thought I would try something inspired I guess by cacher's instinct and found it about 7 metres away so signed the replacement log which is in good condition.Decided to end my walk along the Bridle Track here, with some regret as I very much enjoyed it and more caches were beckoning but time and tiredness and the need to get food won!TFTC.

I had delivery to make 1 street over so decided to avenge my previous attempt.
My phone was still trying to take me closer to the river, but I trusted my geonose and found it in the obvious place that I had been searching last time...
Thanks for the hide - this find means that I have found every cache of yours Smile

29-Jul-23
What a lovely day for a walk along the riverside.
Having fueled up on coffee at the nearby event, I then headed off for a walk and to pick up a few more caches.
There were a few muggles around so I had to time my search carefully, but the cache was soon in hand.
Thanks for setting this up

22-Jul-23
Creative little hide!

16-Jun-23
Not so much a Did not Find, but rather a Did not Finish.
It was already dark when I left work and, while the torch on my phone did a good job, I just couldn't locate it in the time I had available.
To quote Arnie, "I'll be back!"

When I first arrived here muggles in the car park where taking ages to get their act together and leave. So I killed a about a minute or so by taking on some water while thinking about some places to hide a cache. On my return a bit later the coast was clear and the cache was in the second place I looked. TFTC.

25-Aug-22
I tried another spot first and then after waiting for a few groups to pass found the cache at the other spot.
The log was very wet though.
T F T C mynameusJett.

I was in Palmy and decided to put a dent into the recent flurry of new caches.
Aside from getting wet shoes and feet on my way to the first cache it was a good little mission of seven caches.

I had spent most of my weekend in Palmy, as a Plan B option to the washout that was my intended trip to New Plymouth and Taranaki in general. But I really can't complain at a chance to meet up with friends and still get a reasonable haul of caches to boot.

It turns out that I had a couple of spare hours this morning, so decided to put them to good use going to look for a number of reasonably recent releases throughout Palmy.

It's always a nice walk alongside the river, so I don't mind coming back here again having found caches near here in the past. This particular cache was a quick find and I was able to pretend to be resting whilst attending to the logging. That was easier said than done as the paper is very damp and hard to write on without causing damage. But I managed it and replaced everything as found.

Thanks for setting up this cache.

(Attended the nearby IGD event today and realised my visit last week is still stuck in c:geo off-line logs).

Out this way purchasing a replacement vehicle since I broke the engine on SF Dazend, TB65DGQ.
Maggie the geohound has been patiently waiting while I did the business so the two caches here gave her a bit of a walk and a chance to do her business. Yes, I did pick it up and disposed properly.
All good here although as others have remarked the coords are a bit out, but the cache name nails it. TFTC

05-Aug-22
The named with this cache and so it was quickly located, signed and replaced and as it was a school day there were not as many muggles as there is at the weekend. after completing this cache i was able to continue on my bike ride along the river track on such a lovely day . The river was flowing pretty full and fast today . Thank you for this new cache .

24-Jul-22
GPS was a wee bit off but we got there! What a cute container

Out on a activity for my birthday taking the geohound for a bike ride around Palmy. Not a 0 bday thankfully, just a 7.

Thanks for the cache

We made a bit of a deviation here on the way home from Aokautere. It would have been quite a short trip if we could have just come straight across the river!
There were a few walkers around when we got here but it was much quieter than it often is at this place, a main access point for the river pathway, so it was a good time to come. The cache was a very quick find although our GPS was still pointing us about 7m away - it probably hadn't had time to settle yet - the cache title was helpful. TFTC mynameusjett. Smile

Cold here today! Soon found this one. Thanks

20-Jul-22
Easy find this morning when out for a walk before the rain arrives. Many years ago we lived local to this cache so it was nice to wander through the nearby streets getting to this cache. Will enjoy heading back home along the bridal track. Taking my time writing this log so muggles can move on before I return the cache to its location.

19-Jul-22
Thanks mynameusJett for hiding a nice cool cache in this location.
I walked along the stopbank for 5mins waiting for the coast to be clear then swooped in to collect the container.
Signed the cute little scroll and returned as found.
Thanks for the cache!

Nice easy find, very nice geocache!

Parked up close by this cache with plans to head off for a few more as well. Nice easy find as per the coordinates so added my Monica and replaced as found. Thanks mynameusJett.

After a lack of caching during this month of rubbish weather has led to me getting on with a couple of jobs at home, yet still hankering to discover hidden items in the Manawatu and surrounds. I settled on a trip to Palmy and my tentative hopes of crossing the Fitzherbert bridge never came to fruition. I managed to avenge a couple of previous DNFs, repeat one, and have new ones! Hmmmmmmm. Anyhow a modest yield of 13 caches was all good and bumped into Tawa/Paraparaumu cachers Tbird53 at one GZ, nice to meet them and their dog. Just about 10kms walked alongside the Manawatu river and other areas on a cold day, thanks to all COs.

17-Jul-22
One of seven caches we located along the riverside walk/cycleway on a day that started out frosty but sunny, but clouded over with the wind picking up as we continued our walk. Didn’t realise until we were logging this one that it had only been published two days earlier! In fact we can rightfully claim 2TF! #5184. TFTC.
