With everyone packed up after camping 2 nights at Mcann Rock we all went our separate ways. I spent the night in Narrogin last night and will head out to grab some finds before heading home. Apologies for the generic log. The old school slide and play equipment remind me of my childhood Many thanks ebenie for placing this hide for me to find and adding to my adventures.
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 31 - Wickepin area day. My plan for the day was the IGD series west of Wickepin. I had a lot of them sorted out before I left home and last night I finished th rest of the puzzles, only leaving the field puzzles to be dealt with. I started with the drive along to The Rabbit Proof Fence Road via a few tree caches. Then there were some great artwork or gadget caches before a pit stop for a chat with a local cacher, always great to meet locals. From there it was into the IGD. It was steady caching, only a few were a problem to locate for me. I should have kept up with the final puzzles, so in the end there was quite a bit of doubling back to get to those, but they were all sorted out and found before heading back to camp at Wickepin. I took a short break to relax and have a snack before going on a walk around the ton to find the three local caches. Dinner at the van tonight, the pub is not operating at the moment. Off to Wagin tomorrow for two more counties. My first cache of the day was at this old sport site. There still seems to be stuff here, but the courts must be a bit rough to play on these days. The cache was found and I had a look around the old play equipment before moving on.Thanks for the cache ebenie47062.1 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2007 Satellite V5 A#84**Albida**
A quick stop here to stretch myself and my legsA work trip has left me in Kondinin and needing to head back to Bunbury. With another scorcher planned I was up and out early and headed back to Bruce rock, then Corrigin, Kulin and home via Narrogin. Plan to clear a few labs, pick up a few of the Tin Horse Highway and then head west towards home. Wickepin Day 2
This morning we headed back to the IGD trail, had to wait longer at the road works this time.
This was a good series, with good hints & some interesting cache containers. Continued our trek back along the Rubbit proof fence picking up the many caches on our way home.
All this old playground equipment remindered me of my childhood days.
Thankyou to the CO's for placing these caches.

Out for a drive today east of Narrogin, racking up some kilometres on the dash. Started off by heading through Boundain to Yilliminning Rock. Then through Tincurrin and Harrismith to get to Jitarning, where I stopped in to say hello to burns345. I was then on my way to Kulin, where I bumped into ebenie out caching. This was a chance and lucky encounter, and very fortunate, because at the cache I bumped into them at, they were unable to start their car. Gave ebenie a lift into Kulin, where I continued the journey through to Corrigin. The final leg of the day was back through Yealering and Wickepin to Narrogin. All in all, a solid day that racked up a few dozen finds.
Ripper spot for a cache. Very interesting. Cheers ebenie!
Join me at the 10th anniversary of WAGB in Narrogin on Friday 2 June to Monday 5 June 2023. There’ll be plenty of geocaching fun to be had, I can’t wait to see you there!

Quick find on a trip down to esperance with KB. Just imagine this place when it was one of the social hotspots of the area. Interesting stop, TFTC.
Off on a little break from Bunbury. After our overnight at Wickepin it was time to head to Yealering with a couple of caches on the way.
Since this one wasn't far from the turn off we ventured that little bit further. Wow you can see this location from the main road but never noticed it before, the places you discover while Geocaching.
Naturally Mr dimor did the honours

Interesting location, makes you wonder why people suddenly stopped coming here. Thanks ebenie.
Travelling today from Narrogin to Kulin via Wickepin and collecting some smiley's along the way. It's sad to see something like this abandoned after the time and effort (and $$$) to establish it. Quick find at 13:08 this afternoon. TNLNSL TFTC Ebenie
How interesting! Like people just stopped coming and left everything as is. TFTC
So intriguing, the history here, it’s like an untouched museum with plenty of untold stories to tell.
This is why we enjoy Geocaching, it takes us to some really interesting places on our travels
Thanks to the COs for sharing this amazing part of our State’s History

What an amazing location. It looks like the courts are still in use from time to time for some events.
There must be a huge history associated with this place.
Even the playground looks like it has story to tell.
We got out the metal detector to see if there was anything to find but it would seem it's been very much picked over. We found the back of a locket (silver we think)and left it on a ledge in the hut.
