Today we headed south from Charleville as far as Wyandra, primarily to find at least one cache in the Paroo LGA but also to look for caches along the way and to see as much of the area as possible. Accurate coordinates and an object that contrasted with others in the area, led to a quick find of a very well hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks to the QOGM 2022 Team for the cache. The hide earns a favourite from us.

Continuing on with my well earned 2 week break and after staying in Rochester, Hay, White Cliffs, Cunamulla, Toompine, then Charleville for a few nights (after my very big detour due to lots of road closures) its time to hit the road again and start heading back south to Cunnamulla again. The sun has finally made appearance after being cold and windy for the last week and it is good to get the suns rays onto you to warm the bones.I was supposed of have done these caches 2 years ago but my trip was cut short due to a knee injury and then I just drove past them all with tears in my eyes. There were even FTFs on offer and that really hurt.Fast forward to today and I was able to find most of them on my trip down south.I found the multi near here last year on my travels and now for this one.It is amazing what one truck can do with the goods it is carrying and it is also unbelievable that no one was killed but sadly some were very seriously injured. Thanks carmelw TFTC.

On a 2 week family trip going through the simpson desert from south eastern victoria and grabbing some caches on the way . Our plans changed due to the rains so we needed to flip our route and start our desert crossing from dalhousie Springs and finish at birdsville. Now at birdsville we are stuck here due to our exit plan being closed so we are heading north to Boulia and going the long way around to home in Melbourne.Grabbing caches along the way.Anyway back to the cache.Nice hide and great bit of history across the road of what happened to the bridge.TFTC

13120. Located by baby&Mrs gopher in company with Simba15 at 1135. Picking up some of the cache hides we didn't get to find last year. We have had fun in and around Charleville. The force of this explosion has to be seen to get an idea of the power exhibited. It is a pity that most do not see the damage from the roadside. SL Tnx QOGM 2022 Team

Day 16. A last minute plan had been hatched to make my way to QOGM. Very little planning had been done but a very rough outline was in place and it was going to be a day by day trip.A quick stop in Cunnamulla over night and today we are out power trailing. An interesting stop here to learn about the explosion! Thanks carmelw for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.----------------------------------------------------------Are you planning a trip to Victoria? DAY 11

We have finally made it to Outback Queensland in the company of RoamingHowie heading towards Longreach and the QOGM festivities. Heading north, our next main destination is Charleville but a few stop offs along the way to break up the journey.

We just had to stop here to read about the historic explosion and take photos of the bridge remains.

Thanks carmelw for the placement.

16-Sep-23
Found as I travelled up from Adelaide with FeatherWaite to the QOGM event at Longreach. The plan was to head to Cunnamulla via Broken Hill and Tilpa, then up to Charleville to complete the mass of caches that had been published since we were last there a year or two ago. From there we were planning to go to to Longreach via Barcaldine, although the exact route would depend on how much time we had available. The weather was a little warmer than we had anticipated, but it made for some pleasant evenings as we camped out along the way. Most of the caches were found without any issues and were in reasonable condition unless otherwise indicated. Thanks carmelw for the cache.

16-Sep-23
Found with e.gregory1 on a trip through Broken Hill, Tilpa, Bourke, Cunnamulla, Charleville, Tambo, Blackall and Barcaldine to attend the QOGM at Longreach. After QOGM I travelled solo to Emerald, Biloela, Monto, Gayndah and Kilcoy on my way to Brisbane for a few days before a return drive back to Adelaide via the north coast of New South Wales, central NSW and the Riverlands. Thanks for the cache QOGM 2022 Team!

15-Sep-23
We are heading up to Longreach for the last QOGM with The Drovers, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 naturally stopping to grab any caches that come on the map aiming to get as many LGA's as we can.Unfortunately we didn't make last years QOGM but at least we have been able to come back and pick up some of the many hides for the event and pretend we were there. This was a nice drive picking them up and all were found easily, a couple gave us a little bit of a hard time but with this many eyes searching it's hard for them to stay hidden for two long and all now contain our acronymTo save room in the log we signed PDGC (Papi Drove Geoturtle Crackers)Many thanks for time, effort and expense put into this trail.

15-Sep-23
Team Crackers, The Drovers, GT37 and myself are all heading for Cape York via the last QOGM in Longreach. We have definitely been here before so wonder why we didn't have any of the caches. Must have read the information, looked around and left whilst discussing the incident. Thank you for placing this cache for us to find.

15-Sep-23
We are sure that we have visited before, and when we got home, we found some photos that are almost identical to what we had. The signs seem to be different though. No worries, we now certainly have the caches. Thanks for bringing us back here with this cache.

We are now on our way to Longreach for the QOBM event next month. As we missed the big event here, it was now time to grab some of the caches around the area. Another big day today, doing some of the trails around the area. Today it was with Liz and Bruce, which is a nice change from my solo caching.Stopped off here to find they area putting fences up along this area. We all went in different directions but I eventually made the find after scrambling to the top. Then after a short search, the neat little hide was found. An interesting story. Thanks carmelw for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Found during our Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure - a 33 day epic tour of Northern NSW and Outback Queensland finding many caches, attending great events and catching up with awesome Cachers along the way.Queensland Outback GeoMuster (QOGM) 2023 Longreach Adventure Day 3. Well the trip was underway. I have never been to a QOGM before, and since this was the last one I decided to head up there for the fun. After overnighting at just outside Cullamulla (Free Camp) we continued north up the Mitchell Highway collecting Adventure Labs and caches. This was the next cache of the day. Another quick find once at GZ. Signed the log, usually as F65, replaced the cache as found, checked up on my GCA cache here (all good) then we continued on our journey. Thanks QOGM 2022 Team !!

Freddo and Team Waldron headed to warmer climes around Broken Hill, Cobar, Bourke, Cunnamulla
and Charleville.

After a cold start in Broken Hill the weather improved once we got further north. Sadly our last night in Broken was wet which, pardon the pun, put a dampener on things.

All up it was a great week away and lots of caches were found with only 3 dnfs.

Thanks to all who placed and maintained their caches. The occasional cache was damaged and we refurbished it and we also left new logbooks as required.

Quick find here.

Freddo and Team Waldron are heading north for a long delayed trip to the caching fields of Cunnamulla. This cache was found on our journey. Caches were fixed where necessary. Fresh log books added. Containers refreshed.

Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun.

Fantastic place to stop. What a story. Boot knew about the explosion, but didn’t know it was here and that we would be passing right by it. Spent some time taking photos and reading the info boards in the parking bay.

A favourite point for taking us to this site.

*The generic bit*
Stayed at the wonderful Evening Star Caravan Park last night. What a great place! Friendly staff, huge community bonfire, freshly made damper and a tale or two. We highly recommend a stay here when you're in the area.

Today we leave Charleville and head south to Cunamulla.

Found as part of our 'north for warmer weather' trip from North East Victoria to Central Queensland, via Curtis Island! We have enjoyed the great variety of caches along the way. Thank you to all the COs who maintain them for us to enjoy.

Visited trackables.

We decided to stay another day after QOGM 2022 had officially ended, as we hadn’t had time to find all the caches on the road South from Charleville to Wyandra. Leaving straight after the final CITO, we made our way along, stopping at each cache before reaching the final one in time for morning tea. All caches were found in good condition, logs signed and replaced. I remember coming here during our QOGM trip last year and discovering the amazing story about the explosion. Thanks carmelw

Our GPS had us 20m away from the posted coords. Found during QOGM 22 and with silverfox1970 and firebatman88. We always love coming to these events and finding caches in the local area. This year we took a week off work to attend and go caching. Stayed at one of the local caravan parks which was great and we were able to catch up with old friends and make new ones. Thanks for placing.

28-Sep-22
Firstly I will appologise for the boiler plate log. This does not take away from all the effort that the QOGM placement team and other geocachers have taken to ensure that we have a fantastic QOGM.

This log covers from around the 20th September to the final day of QOGM the 2nd of October, 2022. We attended many events and found untold nuimbers of caches that included puzzles, multi's, Whereigo's and AL's. We made new friends and caught up with old friends, both locals and geocachers. The meals that we had at two of the events where out of this world, such that we cannot give them a star rating as we do not have enough stars. At the final event their was so many prizes, we feel that you whould have been very unlucky to leave this event without something. This year we were not able to team up with our usual cohorts and were invited to join another group who were fun, enthursatic and well organised. It was very different for us to not be the driver. We look forward to hopefully attending next years QOGM in Longreach. SL TFTC

Day 3 of my QOGM trip: It was a big big day for us, CharleVillians (CV’s), playing catch (cache) up and trying to get around to as much as possible. With yesterdays extended trip down to Windorah, we missed a good deal of time picking up the Murweh offerings and after another big drive today seeing stars and C.R.A.P it was time to clean up the town!

We made short work of some caches and others took a while, whether it was through technology or cache blindness issues. Still we all had a good time which is the main point of any big event such as this.

27-Sep-22
Day 4 of my outback travels and the continuation of my Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster trip for 2022. With the success of our last year’s team (Mavericks), Willis007, Triple Turmoil, Jacs team and myself have joined up again to start and continue our assault on Charleville as, “Charle Villain’s”.

Today was a few caches around town and then a drive around collecting the Murweh Musings. These were a fun set of puzzles to solve and to collect. We ended up back in Cooladdi and spent some time checking out some features of the town and talking to the lovely ladies of the local shop.
We then went on to grab the C.R.A.P. Series of puzzles, then headed out of town along the Mitchell highway and grabbed a few more. Of the caches we collected, we signed the logs and replaced caches as found, thank you for the fun today.
Sorry for the generic log but I’m sure there are enough logs for hints and actual placements previously or to follow by others.

Attending QOGM 2022 Charleville with Temingi
Early start, and after the run out to Cooladdi, the western boundary and back, a few around town and the 'Hello Cooladdi' event at the Fox Trap
and the Murweh Musings mystery trail back to Charleville via the Adavale Road
as we still had time to do some more caching
... we headed to the southern boundary of Murweh caching back into town
eerie spot, we were looking in the wrong area before we read the logs
then wandered over for a find
All good here
signed and replaced

Found with the Munna Culla Snack Ninja's on the fifth day of our Roadtrip from Brisbane to Cunnamulla and Charleville ??.

Made our way back here after not quite getting everything at last year's QOGM last year.

After stopping at the Wyandra Post Office for Devonshire Tea complete with fresh cream ??we teamed up with Richmond Lad and joojoo57 to smash some caches.

An amazing story at this one - can't believe the devastation caused and the lack of no lives lost ??.

Thanks for the cache and the history ????

After attending the Paroo Revisited event this morning in Cunnamulla, Team SIP (Snickersallan, Imbunda and patrol14) are heading back to Charleville and grabbing caches along the way.

Stopped to read the sign and amazed at the damage it made. Managed to drive almost to GZ but took some searching before we located the cache. Coords were out by a lot but still got to sign logbook then returned as found. Fav point from me for location.

Our favourite event is the QOGM -
TBU2Uwe001 and I enjoy our 4th time here in the outback.

Thanks a lot to the Team QOGM 2022 Murweh and the other COs to invest so much time and efforts for organising those events and putting out the caches.

Today deanside and I packed jp leaving Cunnamulla behind as we headed up the road to Charleville. This road os plentifully supplied with caches and we hoped to find all as far as Wyandra. Infact we did even better but fell short of completing them all. Stopping at them made the journey feel much shorter and certainly more interesting
We found the coordinates were about 30 m east of where indicated TFTC QOGM 2022 Team
