Out and about today on cup day enjoying the weather, the quietness and the cache hunting and to get some lunch.Three of us looked around for maybe 20 minutes scratching and digging around every tree and post, checked all inside the pit on the other side of the fence and nothing. So sent a message to a previous finder and then left. We were at another cache signing that when a message came through with a photo of the cache and where it was located but it was of the original cache and not the temporary replacement. I am sure we had looked there so went back there again but the temporary replacement cache was not to be found where the photo of the original cache was so which we had already checked anyway but we had to admit defeat. Thanks seagull_lad for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.
Lyn had recently solved this puzzle and today we are on a mission to complete 8000 finds! At GZ bike path was quite and after an initial review of the area and looking in a couple of spots without luck I changed focus slightly and uncovered the container. Thanks to seagull_lad for the cache. This was find 7999.
I just couldn't spot this one today although I spent a considerable time at GZ. I took way less time to solve the puzzle than I did searching for the cache. I will have to return another time and try again.
Had my eye on this puzzle for a while but not making the right connections. With the assistance of a friend , the final coords were finally in hand. Learnt a lot. At the location the search took longer than it should have but cache located and log signed. TFTC
Found 9:16 amOut on the daily run and having solved this a few days ago, it was nice to stop to hunt this one down. A relative quick find on what was a chilly morning of 3 degrees. I like the puzzle done here. TFTC seagull_lad
So I overthought this one a lot. I was able to work out a seemingly obvious solution to the puzzle, but due to being on my phone, didnt see all the information provided. I tried all sorts of things looking for a set of numbers. As soon as I realised my mistake, I had the coordinates in no time!At GZ I had to look around for a while, and I found it just as some muggles came around the corner so I put it in my pocket, which Im sure made me look super dodgy. Signed and replaced once they left.TFTC and for helping me to flex my STEM brain on maternity leave!
Here with a previous finder and despite a thorough search, no luck here today. Only found the remains of a dead possum. Ick!
Today's task was to find caches in the Knox LGA for a challenge cache...so on this chilly day I hit the road picking up solved puzzle caches and random Trads because the planned plan did not go to plan. This was one of the caches collected today. At GZ I was so close but kept over thinking the shovel hint, so this find took a while.
the cache is in a temporary container until I get another one, but is all intact, happy finding!
This cache was disabled for a while due to being vandalised. Should be up within two weeks
I was in the area today so decided to find this cache. There was no obvious parking spot I parked a distance away and had a walk to the cache. At Gz there weree not many places to look and having looked in most of them I decided to PAF and while on the phone I saw the cache and contents strewn on the ground in the open. I put the cache back together and hid nearby in a safe place. Thanks seagull_ladGJMMelb
I needing to find another mystery cache today in order to fill in a missing calendar date for [ahomburg's](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=1ded3729-fe62-40bb-9f5f-fd559e7163b1&wid=dc135a03-cc4f-4381-a4b2-0feb0a96e411&ds=2) [WCW - Almost a Complete Mystery Challenge (GC9Z59N)](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC9Z59N) and this one has been on my list to find ever since it got published. The [CO](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=041ce707-8676-48df-bb8f-8393a343be47&wid=bc9c388e-9883-4a35-b90c-8f9d21fa11f6&ds=2) and I had actually talked about this puzzle before it got published, although I didn't get any insider information, I was curious about it as my career path could have taken me down the genetics pathway. So unlike most D4.0 puzzles, my background helped me solved this one quite quickly. With this cache being so close to home, I have been saving it for a day where I didn't have much time to find a cache and today was finally that day. The snuggle muggle and I took a spontaneous road trip out to the regions and met up with some muggle friends of ours. Of course, this meant that I had could not get away to grab a cache. So by the time I got back to the area the sun had set and it was getting late.So I was able to convince the snuggle muggle to let me stop by GZ on our way home. So with the sun gone, and limited light source we had to search for this one using the the torches on our phone only. I was a bit nervous that we were going to struggle to find this one, but luckily my phone cooperated and brought me straight to the cache.A big thanks goes to [seagull_lad](https://www.geocaching.com/p/?guid=041ce707-8676-48df-bb8f-8393a343be47&wid=bc9c388e-9883-4a35-b90c-8f9d21fa11f6&ds=2) for the fun puzzle. TFTC.**Cache Maintenance Status**The cache container was in good shape and the logbook was clean and dry with plenty of room for future cache finders to sign.
Had a quick look at this one the other day as we hadn't looked at too many local puzzles recently, but didn't have hopes up seeing the 4D rating as these usually aren't our forte. A keen eye spotting something that could possibly lead us to a set of co-ordinates, a little bit of trial and error and we had the green tick! However, the cache was put on the solved but not found list for a little while as other commitments took first priority. My good mate CammJT got his license today, so a plan was forged for a pick up from futsal at the local indoor sports centre, and to go and find a cache to celebrate. We also notice our other good mate AdamWickenton was in the area at the time as well so gave him a call to see if he wanted to tag along, to which the answer was yes. So we were off, armed with only our phone torch lights as it was well after sunset, but that didnt deter us. At GZ we had a look at the spots that immediately sprung out at us as cache locations to no avail. We all decided to walk three seperate ways to see where our GPS's would hone in, and they all simultaneously led us to one specific tree. A good scour of the tree and other trees around it did bring us a big huntsman spider, but still no cache. It had been a decent search with the light we had before the talk of coming back another time with daylight on our side started to creep in, until Adam turned around and spotted the well camoflauged cache!Tftc and the adventure, seagull_lad!
Out and about with My good caching mate Omegaman1971, there are always plenty of laughs while we are turning caches into smiles. This is one of the caches found today. Had the puzzle solved when it first came out and have been waiting for it to come back online. We had no trouble finding the cache. Thanks seagull_lad for the cache.
Omegaman1971Support Your Local Villain Live - Laugh - Lurk Caches Found: First To Find: 152Sidetracked Cache Finds: 121Out and about with Rebel Acts after finishing work a little earlier today. After a short search, we soon had the cache stamped.Cheers for the cache.
Sorry for the delays guys. Geocache will be live and ready to find again tonight!
A reasonably quick solve of the puzzle but I made the search for the cache much more difficult than it should have been. Once I let go of my preconceived idea of what the cache would be I stood back and had a think about possibilities..I really didn't have to as the coords are spot on. Thanks seagull_lad for the cache
The container may need some work. Disabling for now and should be able to have a look tomorrow.

[FTF]Thanks has to go to Chris, OHC and Papi4506 for this joint FTF. The message came through regarding the new puzzle that wasn't too far from home but the D rating was not in my usual paygrade. The brains trust came through with the goods so off we went. Don't want to be ungrateful for the effort of the brains trust. Pleased to say that the find was made by Papi4506 and a clean log book greeted us. Thanks for placing this cache for us to enjoy.
{FTF}This was a very joint FTF. The work was done by one contributor, the driver appointed and that left the job of finding the cache. Well, that is what I am saying. As GT37 grabbed the keys and was heading towards the door, I was told, "We are going now". No idea where, why but I am sure I will be told eventually. Well silly me, it was an FTF. What was I thinking. At least I was able to contribute as I made the find. Thanks for the placing the cache for us to find.
