OCW PelDroedGwin Exploring Carnarvon for a few days.A slightly random location for a finale, the caretaker came out whilst we were looking but he was happy for us to search. Once hed left we found it. Tftc
Enjoyed the AL. Final was found after we got quizzed by the caretaker of the location!
We found your cache today 17 October 2024 12:25pm , while enjoying another day in our beautiful countryside. TFTC ebenie
ebenie, we didnt find your cache today. Sorry, but it wasnt for lack of trying though! We looked everywhere at GZ but no luck
We did have a lot of trouble with this AdLab...we have been in Carnarvon for a few weeks so we tried to google the Race Course answer with no luck and came out here 4 different times.....then we read some of the logs and the reviews and approached it from a completely different viewpoint! Thankfully we read info about the answer being about 100m from GZ and finally got the final answer (don't even mention the dot/dash on the bus ).We did feel a little conspicuous looking for the final but thankfully we had it in hand pretty quickly.Thank you ebenie for placing and maintaining Carnarvon A taste of a good life Bonus Final for us and others to find and enjoy!
Found at 2:33 PM GAFF1.We had a couple of issues with this AL, but got through it after some assistance from guessing and a guy at the race course The cache hide itself was quite tricky and way more difficult than a D1.5 would suggest - especially with the thick grass that is all around the structure now. The worst part of the finding exercise was that p-pprass put his hands right there right from the start and missed it and then it was c-pprass who came out of the car and went straight to it and pulled it out Thanks to ebenie
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 94 - Carnarvon Day 2. After a huge day yesterday, I was hoping for a relaxed day today. I started off with a visit to the Carnarvon Space museum. It is very impressive, they have lots of stuff, but not all of it is explianed. The mock up moon lander is very impressive and the outside dishes are huge. I ten headed into town to have lunch with dghoffy, another east coast cacher catch up. The afternoon then became a time to do the second set o labs and the rest of the traditional caches around town. I again met up with dghoffy and we did a few caches together. I had been thinking of an evening outing, but I was not up to it and had dinner in the van and an early night. Tomorrow is the drive to Coral Bay. After working my way through the second set of labs, with a little help, I met up with dghoffy again, and we cached together for the rest of my caching day. There was a horse meet on soon and the yard was full, but no one was at GZ for this cache and we soon extracted it from its hide and signed the log. Thanks for the cache ebenie48694.5 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & March 2020 Guarding Gaia 3 A#422**Albida**
We had a good time wandering all over town gathering answers. The final was a nicely hidden cache with not too much fuss. Thanks for this cache and the series.
Found it today as we watched a couple of jockeys taking the horses for a run. TFTC SL
On our travels we found ourselves in Carnarvon and took the opportunity to do some cacheing, this was a nice bonus to the adventure lab, thanks for placing it
Carnarvon is a really nice town, especially around the coastal areas, lots of museums and points of interest too. It's quite peaceful and scenic. It was great to explore a bit this morning with the ALs and some caches before heading back to Hitch up and get back on the road again. Always good to get a bonus for an AL, found okay here today.
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT then over the top of WA to Perth.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield Nat Park, Wyndham and the Gibb River Road.TFTC.A nice bonus for the AL. Great.
Found with e.gregory1 on a trip from Adelaide to north-western Western Australia for four or five weeks. Camped out along Milinya-Exmouth Road before heading southward to spend most of the day around Carnarvon and on to our next campsite somewhere near Overlander Roadhouse, finding a few caches along the way. Thanks for the Adventure Lab and bonus cache ebenie!
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. Last night we camped south of Coral Bay and this morning we continued traveling south towards Carnarvon and beyond. The cache was a quick find and was in good condition. Thanks ebenie for the Adventure Lab and bonus cache.
Back on holidays chasing the sun, travelling around and collecting a few caches on our way. Found your cache easily and it was in good condition. Thanks for adding to the enjoyment of holiday.

Heading north with richlink enjoying the varied locations along the way. This is one of the caches we found on our travels. Thanks ebanie, for the associated AdLab and this bonus cache.
We are having a little bit of time off from helping our friends in Nanson we decided to head north to try and collect a few more LGA's and Lab caches and anything else that pops up on screen.
We had worked our way through the adventure lab and came up with a set of numbers that put us out in the middle of the water and then found out that page had a checker when we went live. We changed the 39 to 40 in our solution and the checker said yes.
Unfortunately at gz our old eyes let us down as we couldn't locate the container anywhere on the article that was there.
This one will have to wait until our next visit.

Heads up - save uncertainty if u are short on time and use Use S 24° 54.ABC' E 113° 40.DEF' !!!!
A beaut AD LAB that took me to a few spots I may not have ventured in the short time we have. The highlight was arriving at the racecourse just after the races had completed so you could say good timing in a way. AND WOW - I’ve covered a lot of kilometres on trusty treadles trying to do this one and with no formula there were a few options so it was almost a tad ‘frustrating’ as we are due to leave Carnarvon. You could say I’ve learnt something about the towns layout and it’s features! Had to do some lunging to get this one but was happy with that BINGO moment. TFTC

Eventually got there, a couple of the stages have been a little challenging, but great to get a taste of the Carnarvon good life, apart from upsetting the local race club resident with our presence, we tried explaining the art of geocaching but it was like a foreign language to him, so just said watchout for more weirdo's like us wandering around...eventually signed the log after walking around and around and around again...
Thoroughly enjoyed eclipse week here, well done to the Carnarvon Shire for putting on a great show !!! TFTC ebenie

I'm winding my way up to Exmouth for the eclipse Arrived into Carnarvon yesterday and a very enjoyable evening rendezvous at the pub with friends making their own way up from Perth. Today we are heading north to Gnaraloo Station for a few days. While they were shopping for supplies this morning I worked my way around the Ad Lab. My thanks to the previous cachers who left very helpful notes on how to complete some of the stages as otherwise I think I would have had to abandon the Lab. Also strange there is no formula on this bonus to work out the final. But I eventually completed all the stages and had a viable GZ for this bonus. Thankfully made a pretty quick find after a careful search along the host. TFTC
Outnabout having an adventure completing the labs in Carnarvon. A couple of the stages have been a little challenging but it’s just added to the sense of achievement when you finally get the tick of approval. I struggled with finding the bonus cashe but widened the search and wallah. Thanks, Ebenie
Managed to complete the ALC a few days ago, especially the Horse race station was tricky . May I recommend to search about 100 meters further north and to use the 4 words you find on the sign [:o)]. On my way from Exmouth to Perth I had another stop at a well known location and after some searching I was able to spot the box and sign the log . Thanks for this real adventure and of course

{FTF}!!! There is information missing into what equation you should fill the numbers you get from the lab adventure. Use S 24° 54.ABC' E 113° 40.DEF' and you'll find the price. The owner was kind to give me a hint of the area where to find the cache and after that it was a straight forward job. Tftc!
