Logs
Up to New Plymouth for the day to visit with my elderly Aunt and my cuzibro_au here for a few days from Aus. This is his first trip back to visit his Mum in 13 years so I needed to catch up.After lunch we all came for a walk in Pukekura park and to complete the ritual of an ice cream from the kiosk. Then we continued our walk around the lake and found this cache. I think my cuzibro was somewhat underwhelmed and wondered why I do this. In my defence I assured him the enjoyment cannot be determined with one find. Log was full so added another sheet of RITR paper. Shortly after, we said our goodbyes and were soon heading back home to the Manawatu.Lots of people enjoying the lovely weather today including many, many dogs but fortunately no muggles about at GZ so all good. TFTC
Enjoying the wander around this beautiful park. We hadnt been here since WOMAD several years ago, quite cool going to the some of the sites without any people there! Found the coordinates to be a fair bit out, so searched several wrong middle ones before finding the prize. Thanks trayc.g#1183
Quick find. A deceptive map - easily accessed from the path above and not the lower path as I did. TFTC
Found it! Didnt find the clue helpful, but previous logs with photos were. Thank you!
1 augustus 2024 11:00. Haa, this was another middle one than I tought, but we found it.
Enjoying a peaceful walk here after morning rain cleared. Quickly found thanks to good coordinates and a helpful hint. Thanks trayc.g.
Found it after 15 minutes. Coordinates aren't correct but found none the less
Visiting from Sydney for a few weeks of looking after my sister's farm. Once I found thr right track to get close with the hint it was a fairly quick find. Thanks trayc.g for the hide.
I had today off and thought a outing for us all sounded good. So we bundled up the car with the three kids and the geodog and came to Pukekura Park. This was my only find for today but we also seeing past another cache for my son's new account. There was a bit of back and forth as nothing immediately stood out but we soon had the cache in hand. Then it was off to the next cache and the playground.T F T C trayc.g.
Down in New Plymouth for a couple of days visiting family and we went dog walking in Pukekura Park this morning. Managed to pick up a couple of caches including this one. Helpful hint - I went straight to it. TFTC
May have been us or may have been the storm that rolled in yesterday. We could not find it.
Took us a while to find but we found it anyway! Nice spot in a beautiful park, tftc!
Delighted to be revisiting New Plymouth as we lived here for many years, some years ago. Some great changes since then, so we really enjoyed exploring some of our old haunts. Can't beat Pukekura Park. Easy find. Cache is all good. TFTC
8:26PM A quite spot at this time of year with all the lights. TNLNSL TFTC Cheers M+S [:0)] 2933
A nice quick find today. We had a quick look last night at the Festival of Lights, but too dark, and too many people! Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are on the road again, up "North" to visit family an friends. Heading South again today!.Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Got a bit confused over this when we were visiting the Festival Of Lights but made more sense today, in the daylight! Thank you, trayc.g.
Tftc found today 2nd January but forgot my pen, tried to score my name in with a key but didn't quite work out
Was thinking middle "what", then thought about it for a second. Quick find, thanks for the hide
Day 16: Around TaranakiTodays journey took us around the Taranaki Region, where we headed as far south as Cape Egmont before heading up to Pukeiti, and back to New Plymouth for two more parks: Tpare and Pukekura Parks. After that, we searched for the best views of the Maunga from Te Wera Wera Bridge and walked the Coastal Walkway back to the Port. Another truly productive day, and thanks for all the caches around the Taranaki Region. (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache: First cache found in the park proper while we rambled within. A quiet little spot here, and a cache found without any fuss. Thanks for bringing me up to this little lookout spot and TFTC!
I've visited this park many times over the years, and have finally returned to see the festival of the lights. This is one of only a few caches left here for me to get, so thank you for putting it here.
A visit to Pukekura Park with rattll to see the famed Illuminations. The park trails are not well marked on OSM, so a lot of guessing as to the best approach. Finally got there, made a quick find, then sat for a few minutes enjoying the peace and view. All good in the container. Tftc!
This was a quick find by Geomum. Such a lovely park. Thanks for the cache and the smiley .
