I can't believe that I managed to find a place to park the car on the main road.My eye was obviously in today as I spotted the cache straight away.I hesitated when trying to open the container, and then I realised that I didn't need a TOTT.Signed log and replaced cache in the position requested.TFTC yk2df
A new cache camo has now been constructed and installed at GZ. Please ensure the cache is replaced as found, ie: positioned behind and down as low as it can go, so as to be out of sight of passing muggles. Happy caching everyone

Checked on the cache today and can confirm that it is indeed missing, which is most disappointing. This cache requires a level of construction to reproduce, so will take a while before it can be constructed & replaced.
Always a fan of these types of caches, and wonder how confused random people must be accidentally plucking these off poles lolTFTC
I grew up around these areas and I never knew that Stockland used to be so cool..
I really like the construction of this cache and how well it blends in. Hiding in plain sight. TFTC
Today we went to see the Church Point. Here great hint. Swift find.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
First outing with Oldmorty for the year. The Northern Beaches the target. After lunch in the shopping centre we arrived at GZ, sat and Oldmorty took care of the signing all the time looking like we were meant to be there. I vaguley remember the totem pole out the front Clever design and a FP. TFTC!
OCW morty8888 on a cool blustery day around the Northern Beaches and the Mosman LGA. After lunch at The Totem we wandered outside to find this well constructed cache container right where the hint suggested. TFTC vk2df.
Stopped by to shop after a swim at Manly. We never knew the old Totem but learned about it from the locals who all still call it the Totem as do we! SL TFTC Cheers… Gaztek
(1 of 5 today - including 2 Adventure Labs)
Out for a few finds this afternoon - hopefully before the predicted storms hit. Thought I'd clean out Balgowlah (despite on being disabled). Went for four physical hides and found three.
Then headed towards Manly to finish off an Adventure Lab.
And the storm held off... just.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
The fin bit of this one was finding a parking spot. Eventually got one and walked back to GZ - where a man looking at his phone is right at GZ.
I walked past but didn't recognise them, and then they walked off.
I homed in on one spot. Nope. Second spot. Nope. Third spot... Gotcha!
Signed, replaced and away.
Top camo.

Went for lunch at one of the restaurants at the shopping centre, and after having finished, we went for this cache. We past it at first, without noticing it, but when retracing our steps a bit we saw it, hidden in plain sight.
Haven't been to this area for a long time. There used to be an aluminium shop up the hill where you could get cut-to-size sheet and tube to fabricate chassis from. Parked nearby tonight and found the very creative little hide. Thanks vk2df.
After a bit of searching found the well hidden cache. Really nice and fitting camo. Thanks vk2df, have an FP

It's lovely to see a new cache from vk2df !!
Sadly, it's not a nostalgia trip for me as I'd never visited this area in the Totem's glory days. But the historical footage gives me some idea what has been lost. The new shopping precinct is, I'm sure, functional.... but soul less. Progress!
Anyway, thankyou vk2df for bringing me here.

Ah yes, The Totem.
As a kid I liked coming down that hill and seeing the man sitting on top of the stack of tyres which was probably nothing to do with the Totem Centre but still a landmark and we always called out there's the Totem and knew we were nearly at the beach!
I once played a game of 10 Pin Bowling at the centre with my friend and her cousin who was a bit older and was the champion bowler at the Totem Centre one year.
Earlier this century I enjoyed a meal in the Totem Club with some birding friends. I remember it being a good night and we said we'd come again and then the centre closed down and we couldn't go there again.
Now it's just the same as any old intersection.
Today I made another visit to the Totem Centre for this cache. It was quite busy so I walked around and the old memories returned, the muggles disappeared and I retrieved the cache. Liked the container. I took the trackable which I've seen at several events recently and really didn't fit into the container.

I used to come to the Totem on my way to or from school back in the seventies. Even did tenpin bowling here. Thanks for the cache, and the trip down memory lane. TFTC vk2df

I’ll give this a favourite point right off the bat.
A cache after my own heart. Thanks for the effort.
