Surprisingly hard to find, left a tracker bug, thanks to the people who hid this geocache.
Thanks to whoever his this geocache, surprisingly hard to fund, left a travel bug.
Accompanied oldmorty on another outing to The Shire.A different approach this time, and I soon had CIH.Nice to replace a DNF with a smiley face. Thanks to merrybeachmick for the cache.
First cache of the caching trip for today. Very impressed with this one and glad to ensure its still there! Took longer than what it should have, mainly due to coordinates being all over the place with our older device.TFTC, Signed and replaced!PS: One of the objects in the photo is a hint for the cache !
Armed with info from a previous finder (who waited for me above), I was not able to locate the cache.
Poked around with frazeydaze in the vicinity that I had previously found the cache but no luck today.
Found this one this yesterday morning and spent 20 minutes trying to find which way to come into the bush. Finally found a good way then spent 15 minutes finding it. I think it should be a little higher on terrain because you have to climb down rocks. Also make sure you come in the right way because there are spike bushes in other routes in. TFTF
Needed to find a Christmas Day cache and managed to duck out for this one in between storms. With battery levels at 5% on the phone and hunting through the bush by torchlight, I wasnt all that confident, but thanks to the excellent coordinates the few likely hiding spots were soon checked and cache located and signed. Thanks for this one in another great part of the world.
DNF After having good success across the other side of Tudar St, I've come over this side and have only achieved blue grumpys. I made this harder as I attacked it from the pipeline track. Will try again when I'm down this way again. Thx for placing this cache though.
I hadxgiven up hope on this one asxthexhumidity was getting to me The CO messaged me with,a little assistance so I gave it another go. While looking the CO appeared on site which was a bonus. A very tricky hide. I think the D/T rating could be a bit higher though . TFTC merrybeachmick and the nudge.
Couldnt find it, looked for about 40 mins. Doesnt seem to be at drop point location.
Sadly after a 30min search couldnt find this one as the heat was gearing to us. No SPOR either.
There’s nothing white like returning to a cache you’ve attempted to find before for the 3rd time, after sunset, in the rain, waking 150 metres on top of a mossy pipeline to really get the blood flowin! There’s also nothing quite like returning to a cache you’ve attempted to previously find for the 3rd time to make you realise that your GPS was out by 45 metres both previous times! Once I realised I’d been searching in entirely the wrong spot, the cache was an easy find!
Signed the log and replaced as found alls in good order! TFTCMBM!

Found It!
The hardest part of this one was climbing over that enormous pipe. Eventually I found a tree I could use to pull myself up. A quick find after that!

I came in along the pipekeine trail after finding some other caches. No problem spotting this but had to do some gymnastics over the pipe. Nice hide.
Very well hidden. Certainly needed to pay attention to the hint. TFTC merrybeachmick
No luck today. Will have to come back without the geodog which made searching the bush tricky
Unfortunately no luck today; searched as low as I was willing to go in not the greatest bush bashing attire; and that’s entirely on me! Will find it next time!
I was surprised to find parking in Comet Country today as the Comets and all their supporters were there.
Game in progress, and from the look of the score they were doing very well.
No one seemed to take any notice as I walked past and headed off into the bush.
I followed the directions on the cache page and soon thought there it is - except it wasn't. I roamed around for a few minutes then decided the GPS did really like the spot I'd first liked so I went back and made a closer inspection, and there it was. I must have been standing beside it before!

Couldn't find today, looked far and wide, the map keeps moving everytime you think you've found the right position. Didn't find it but met a gecko on the way.
My last day to bring our finds calendar to 10 per day, until 29.2.24. Wazza9 made a quick find, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO
TFTC,
Todays caching brings to an end a hard personal challenge to lift my finds on every calendar day to 10. Only missed the 28th May and will correct that next year.

Spent a little while investigating the SPOR that was mentioned by RS and the rock formations. Spent longer for the phone to settle and then spotted the not so obvious SPOR and soon the cache was in hand
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache merrybeachmick

Visited The Shire this morning to grab some of the COs caches. With the generous hint and good coords it was a quick find of this cache.
A nice rock outcrop here. Dropped TB.

Quite liked this little piece of bushland- ventured in from the road to the east and was soon at GZ. Not long after had CIH. Retrieved the trackable. Even managed to get to a baseball match in the US recently so understand a bit more. TFTC!
My only day off this whole month so so better do some caching! Still in a jet lag from earlier this week. Tricky little spot

I was out with Brewmaker when he saw another new one pop up in The Shire. We went for a stroll to GZ, where we found the cache quickly, but not quickly enough to get FTF. After logging and replacing, we drove around to the start of the pipeline trail and had a walk there. TFTC
Beaten to FTF for the second time today. Both by less than an hour.
I was at Picnic Point about to head home when I saw another new one. Followed the directions to GZ, where I spied the cache quickly. Opened up to find it had already been signed by A44duo. Oh well.
A nice little piece of bushland by the pipeline. TFTC

FTF@ 1055.
This cache went live as we left home for Sutherland.
So a slight diversion and a bit of searching (with the phone) turned up the hide. TFTC MBM.
