Omegaman1971Support Your Local VillainLive - Laugh - Lurk First To Find: 188Sidetracked Cache Finds: 138It was great to be back in Cairns for a work conference, especially with the warm weather as a nice change from the cold winter in Melbourne. Its been a few years since my last visit, but Cairns is just as beautiful as I remembered.I also had the chance to grab a few caches while I wasnt at the conference and explore some of the city. Was also great to add another Sidetracked cache to my obsession with them.Love the Camo, favourite point rewarded Thanks for the cache!

Couldn't find this one, despite a really good look around. And then after speaking to the CO to narrow which option we are looking for we came back later ... and still left with an upside down smile. Hmm and Hmm indeed. A future return visit it shall need to be. Too good for us these two visits.

Just having a nice slow day with ilook4geo. Some caching was included, but we had a few other things we needed to do as well. We are always happy to add a sidetracked cache to our colllection. This cache was a quick find as the co-ords are good and all was done to keep everything in order. The container was the kind we hoped to find and was replaced as found before we wandered off again. Thanks for this cache placement go to dat87. FP for a sidetracked offering.

This is a well placed cache which should not be noticed by muggles, but cachers know where to look! Thanks for adding this sidetracked cache to the game. The log was signed and all was put back into place before we moved on. Happy to add another cache to our sidetracked score. TFTC.

SideTracked find 275I arrived for the day aboard the Carnival Splendor. This was my third find today, and one of the two caches I most wanted to find. So I was pleased to make a quick find, even though it was where my Garmin might not work well. The cache blends in well, but is obvious it's the cache when spotted. Cache and log are good. Favourite point. TFTC dat87.

7 July 2024 10:13amThis one isn't too far from my accommodation, and after speaking to the CO last night I wanted to come by and grab this one while I was up here.Turns out today my colleague had the car and I was on foot. This is the first one that I set out towards. I had a bit of a look around in some spots I thought would make sense and kept coming up with nothing, but also had to be a bit careful of the people and the bus drivers loitering around the area. After a slight change in perspective something jumped out at me - I've done a one of these in Brisbane, although this was very well maintained. Signed and replaced. Thanks for letting me know ow about these SideTracked caches and bringing me to this one.

Had just been talking about this type of container walking here, and there we find one, I should talk about lotto numbers or ftfs!It has always fascinated me and has been a huge desire to visit Cape York and, of course, the tip. Having arrived in Cairns late last night, today was a day of some local caching and pick-up supplies before heading of tomorrow north to set off on an amazing adventure, Cairns to the tip of Cape York. A nice morning exploring Cairns, the coastal scenery backdropped by mountains, and of course the lovely warm weather.

Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

New Zealand ????, two goals for me so far unattainable that I can now remove from my spoon list thanks to the best hobby in the world.Where can you find 37 enthusiastic travel participants with the same interest?Exactly, at Cacher-Reisen??.And so we are here and explore the cities, landscapes and beautiful nature. As a group, we register in the logbooks with Downunder2024 to save space or not to blow up the email account. Many different cache types are on our list, the old cans from 2000/2001 to fill the Jasmer or even to close the last gaps. Here, a great variety is offered in both.T4t$ says viko76 from Berlin/ Germany

Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. I visit Cairns a couple of times a year. Sometimes for work, sometimes for play. This trip was for work, as we have some very good clients in Cairns who we needed to take to dinner to say thanks. Early-ish in the morning, I made my way to find a couple of caches. I had been here before, on a previous visit, but had no luck. This time I made my way to where GZ was indicating, which was in a different spot to last time. Interesting. Maybe my GPS was wandering last time. This time, i had a brief look, and then checked the hint and previous logs. There was a bus parked nearby and the driver must have been having a break, and so I didn't really want to be seen wandering and looking around too conspicuously. Reading some of the previous logs gave me an idea, and then it wasn't too long before the cache holder was located. A well-disguised cache indeed. Thanks, dat87, for the sneaky but satisfying cache.

Tried for ages but my phone wouldn't settle down so back to the Grand Hotel. Phoned a previous finder for a nudge and went back for a quick find. A well hidden cache.TFTC dat87. A fav for me.

Found this one while completing the Cairns History AL. Despite seeing this container type a number of times before, it still took me 15mins of poking, prodding and looking at odd angles before spotting the blighter. Very good camo!TFTC!

It wasn't too busy near the station so we could search without any issues. The search took a little longer than it should have as I initially overlooked the cache but Lyn finally spotted it. Thanks to dat87 for the cache.

After a great day at the reef yesterday today some sightseeing in and around Cairns. And trying to find some geocaches along the way.

And so I also found SideTracked - Cairns and converted into a smiley.

dat87 Thanks for the cache. Greetings from the Netherlands
