I have had WAGB, and caching in WA, on my todo list for some time. I contemplated booking in earlier in the year but couldnt commit. Two weeks ago I decided I might just be able to make it work. So a mad scramble began. Last minute flights, accommodation and cache plans - tick, tick, tick! Fast forward a couple of crazy weeks and Ive finally landed. Today I finally get to add the last Australian souvenir to my collection, WA! Having got up at 4am to catch a flight (2am WA time) it was a very long day, but super rewarding and superb weather. Quick find after completing the ALMy 14000th find TFTC

Teamed up with papillon367 today to look for caches in some suburbs we don't visit often. No luck finding the cache, but enjoyed the walk around anyway. Will be back.

Teamed up with ullyssia today to look for caches in an area that we rarely get to. We had a great day with a variety of interesting hiding spots and containers. Managed to clear quite a few green dots but there are so many more around...A nice walk around the lake collecting the clues from the AL, but unfortunately a DNF at this bonus box. Thank you for the challenge Paskersfind.

I came back Tuesday to look for the replacement cache as I was doing an airport run so was in the area.Cache was found with a big of digging.A busy area but easy to dodge the non geocaching people.

Came over and replaced this cache .

A good search and a few ant bites later and no cache was found.

Decided to head out on my own cos pazza working and what else do you do on your birthday? Geocache of course! I had a plan to add a few more Perth LGAs to our tally as well as a list of challenge caches that I have been eying up for a while.Another LGA ticked off with a great AdLab and a bonus to boot. Lovely park with so much birdlife around, the park area is amazing and completely chockers with families! It's good to see all the effort that has gone into this area has paid off! Last minute run to VicPark as the the youngest had training for work. A shout out to the crew and Allied_Oz heard the call and joined me for a couple of ours caching waiting for geo-kid to finish. We had 5 of the clues so kept our eyes peeled as we walked. This spot fit the bill and sure enough there it was. A fav for the series. I completed my first aid course in the morning and decided to do some caching around this area. I love a good AL. What a bonus to find a PF cache in this area. Enjoyed the leisurely stroll around the lake. I was particularly intrigued by the birds gathering here. Thanks for a great AL and cache!

Had the answer to this one a few weeks ago but was on the wrong side of the lake, called in today to snatch a nice quick find.

After having a look at Austrack Campers it was time to head ‘home’ but got Mr dimor to stop here first to clear up this Tomato Lake cache.
I couldn’t find one of the ‘legs’ yesterday only push pins in a plastic bag either side so not sure if another item was a bit further away, at my height I can’t see over cars . Anyway Google gave me the answer last night.

Again a bit short so Mr dimor did the honours this arvo, I had the signing duties to do.

In the area getting some work done to the car, the young fella and i decide to go for a walk to grab a few caches.
After doing most of the loop answering the adlab questions, i decided to start randomly checking areas based on the cache hint. Couldn't believe my luck when the second one i tried revealed the cache .

G’day there Paskersfind, we were in this area today and found your cache PF Tomato Lake Walk Trail Bonus GC9YY0F. Our name was added to the log book at 9:15 am on 30 April 2023. A huge thanks to you for placing this cache here for us (and others) to find!

We took up Geocaching on 3 March 2013 and this cache brings our total find count to - 14192.

Found it among an ants nest and got a pretty painful ant bite as a result. Next finder beware.

Had a very unplanned walk around the lake today. Weather was perfect for it. And as I was here, thought.. why not. TFTC and the AL.

Dropping big bruvver at the airport early this morning. Needed to kill some time before the viewing area opened to do the virtual there. This one was nice and close.

Wandered around the AL, most answers were easy, but the information sign was na empty case. Totally uninformative. Luckily the answer was supplied elsewhere along the way.

I can see how the previous hunter missed it. It was buried quite deep.

Had a look two days in a row, even used a branch to move twigs and leaves that had settled in the tree thinking it could be underneath. Perhaps I am looking in the wrong spot!

On our last day in Western Australia for these holidays and on our way back to the airport Grub62 spotted this lovely place and caches. A nice gentle walk around the lake and a boost to our Geocaching figures, what a perfect way to finish our holidays and get ready for the long flight. The cache was found relatively easily between the muggles and in good condition. TFTC.

First time visiting Tomato Lake. There were hundreds of noisy Ibis birds nesting on trees in the lake. Quite a sight. Thanks for the AdvLab and the bonus cache.

On the way back from the airport today. We needed to run a bit of energy off the kiddos so we went here. Enjoyed solving the nearby puzzle ages ago so it was good to finally make the find. Spent a few hours here all up exploring around the part and doing the adventure lab.

I was in the area picking up a chair so afterwards I made my way here to complete the adlab and some nearby caches. A beautiful spot for a walk.

It’s been a few years since our last visit. At 6pm it was still busy with muggles. However we enjoyed the walk around the lake and making the find at gz. Thanks PF

I had a little time to spare this morning before heading to the airport for my flight home to Brisbane, which as it happened was delayed, so I really had more time...

Labs and bonuses tend to draw my attention when travelling, so I headed over here from the CBD to have a wander around. With the labs done, I made my way to GZ where I had to wait out some muggles before moving in for the container, which I spotted as I past the obvious location.

With the coast clear, I made a quick extraction, retreated to a nearby makeshift seat, signed the log, then returned everything as found.

A pleasant morning for a stroll around the lake.

Back in Feb we were sitting in NSW after finding a cache in 3 different states on 1 day. kenbryl mentioned hitting all the states and territory’s this year as our mission. Well that’s a bit ambitious, but considering our mission for last year wasn’t fulfilled due to covid we figured we could give this one a good hard crack.
February saw us hit QLD and NSW
March we road tripped to SA
May we flew to Tassie
June we roadtripped to ACT
Last Monday we flew from VIC to WA
Next month we are heading up to NT
We called in here to find a long ago solved puzzle and, as we had time, we wandered around doing you as lab.

Today we zig zagged across Albany and surrounds to find a few caches which were on our lists.
We have definitely left enough for ‘next time’ lol.

I do love a good ad lab but none more than when there is a bonus involved. Tftc

When the rain hit earlier in the day I was wondering what tonight might hold and discussed with SirFancy & I C Nothing the possibilities for wet weather caching, luckily although cool the night was dry.
We started by heading to Tomato Lake to get the new lab cache there before heading along the Canning River.
A decent night out had me returning home with 12 finds, 5 adventure labs and 2 DNF’s.

Starting from the carpark we made our way around this lovely lake late this afternoon enjoying the ambiance as the sun lowered in the sky. Once we had all the clues we made a short detour to pick up this final.

In another arbitrary personal challenge to get 500 finds in a month, I find myself flogging myself to make it to the line before the end of the month! So today I had a pitiful 10 finds, NINE DNFs and was only saved by 16 AdLab smilies from admission to the hall of caching shame.

This was my first find after completing the lab. Took me 3 rummages to locate it. I should have known at this moment that my caching radar was broken!!

Totally by chance (given the direction I approached), I parked at the spoiler photo! Did a lap of the lovely lake before stopping for the final. Lovely afternoon for a stroll. Like most other lakes and rivers around Perth at present, the water level was still high. Thanks for the lab and final.
