Well, this will be fun, is what i thought with all the water around and mud. The rain has cleared, a bit of sun coming through and i soon had the cache in hand. The inside was wet and the log was ruined, so i dried it out and replaced log with a dry piece of lined paper. Onto the the next. Tftc

Today we headed out from Winchelsea to do our second day on the GOR. We made our way down through Wensleydale and picked up a few trads in tiny little none weatherproof pots. Nice little series. Then on to Anglesea which seemed to be very hipster/surfer vibes and we enjoyed a nice walk around The Wetlands, more caches and ate our packed lunch at one of the murals. Onwards to Aireys Inlet to visit the lighthouse and more caching. Lorne was our last stop on GOC seemed to be a bit more exy here and lots of posh Melbs people here . Back to Winchelsea via Erskine Falls, surprised no cache there and via Bambra area to collect some super cool woodland caches. Ran out of time to do everything we wanted but you can never get them all .Thanks to all the CO for some really great hides and especially to Bushfire we were sad to read of ill health.Saturated log book, quick find TFTC

We sat in the car while rain bucketed down thinking " we've got to get an indoor hobby. " but the call of the cache was strong and another wet find was made. Tftc..

Took a little longer to find however when it was found the log is completely saturated. May need to do some maintenance!

*Cache find # 14837.*

Today I headed out to the Otway Forest Park and Paddy's Swamp area for a bit of a tour around on my bike and finding caches as I went.
After getting organised at Tanners Camp Ground, I then headed out on the bike and decided to find a few more from this series before heading towards Paddy's Swamp.
Once at GZ the cache was found without too much trouble.

**Thanks to Patogenic for keeping the game going by placing this cache.**

Sunday, and the calendar is empty ...

After travelling half way to Queenscliff for a Ket Baker croissante and coffee, logic says that heading to Birregurra, more than double the distance in the other direction seems logical.

And Birregurra had a market on, but we made it into the RMH for lunch.

On the way back we worked our way through the Wensleydale Power Trail. Of course the phone signal was pretty much non-existant, so this required a mixture of blind luck, waving phones in the air, and verbal exhortation to whatever supernatural powers might be listening. Of course, on top of this, was the usual "Signal Dance" - "over here" "I got 2 bars over there." "Try on top of that gravel heap." "Look, look, the sign says crest! Stop."

Sticking closer to home for our caching adventure today we made our way as far as Birregurra, then worked our way towards Torquay seeking out all the unfound caches along the way with only one DNF for the day.
The Wensleydale power trail was next on our agenda, especially as we have been meaning to complete the series for some time. A pleasant hour or so saw us locating each and every cache all in good condition and just as the hints suggested.

The cache has come away from its partner and is now tucked away safely very close by.
Thanks Lachlan, Sully and Finn for the series cache placements.

*Last Date Day Of February Adventure #9*
SueHut and I are out prowling for caches!
Blow the mojo! This one had us "stumped" for far too long. FINALLY we started thinking in a new dimension.
Thanks heaps for the cache, Lachlan, Sully and Finn!

Ha! This one took us way too long. Forgot there were other directions to look for caches. Got it in the end

After checking the various weather forecasts and commitments for a few days ahead, we decided on a day of caching to the west!
We worked our way around the power trail at a leisurely pace, 4 wheels, not two! - keeping a watch for snakes - at each stop.

Thanks to Patogenic for adding this Wensleydale trail to the gameboard.

What do you do on your birthday? You head out and grab a few caches. When you are nine power trail caches off a Challenge and spot eight caches in a power trail, they become particularly attractive.

So into the Geomobile Joey, we popped Gypsy Girl the Geodog and went off for an early morning cache or nine.

We had a great run to the area, and we downloaded the caches to ensure we would have the coordinates we needed to make the find.

We found all caches in good condition.

Thank you, Lachlan, Sully and Finn, for a neat power trail of Traditional caches.

Found It...........With an afternoon free from work duties, Mrs H_3 decided that we should head out to grab some caches. We elected to grab this series as it was the closest to home with the limited time before dark. After pulling up the search started and soon after the cache was located. So with the log signed we continued our journey. Thanks Lachlan, Sully and Finn for the caches

With lots of puddles around this area I carefully made my way towards GZ which turned out to be a lot less muddy than what I thought it might be. I noticed some twine hanging from a tree branch with a loop in it and thought it was a bit out of place. Sure enough I found the cache nearby. The log sheet felt a bit damp but the inside of the container was dry. I’m just glad that I didn’t drop it because by this time a bit of a wind had picked up and there is a huge amount of water nearby. I returned the container to the place where I found it. It’s safe for the time being. TFTC

My very good caching mates the suscoe’s offered me a lift down to this area that even after caching from 2005 I have never driven along some of these roads.
The weather was kind to us by only starting to be light rain on our way back to Winchelsea for a coffee.
Saw these pop up a few days ago but Eddy and Jason were too quick so no rush to come down to check these guys out.
Simple hides but some will require an adjustment shortly as the hide is not well thought out but that will come with experience.
The cache owners must enjoy takeaways!! Good to see all logs are protected by a plastic bag please reseal after signing log and then write something about your experience.
I have wondered why the family have used this area, my bet is they have family down here!!!
On arrival at this cache we could see where it should have been but was on the ground very close to taking a swim so we replaced it back where it was meant to be but it will only fall out in time so time for some thought about this hide maybe a different type of container and tired up in the tree with a cable tye but not too tight as you have too allow for things to grow.
.Cache log was dry so all good.

Suscoe decided to head out here (early this afternoon_ to Wensleydale to see what these Power Trail caches were like.
We invited our great mate Bushfire along for the trip. It has been quite a while since we have been able to get out together and we had a delightful time together finding these caches.
The roads were reasonably quite, a tractor with firewood and a couple of cars early on were the only traffic that we encountered. The rain held off until we were heading home, thank goodness.
The caches were found quite quickly with good co-ordinates to guide us.
Bus Stop was found quickly.
Thanks to Lachlan, Sully and Finn for this trail.

We found this one on the ground right next to a decent sized pool of water, luckily it didn't go in. We replaced it with the bale twine tight against the tree branch. This will need a bit of TLC by the cache owner to fix it up securely.

I receive a message from SimsFamily that there was a few new caches to be found. I couldn’t go until later in the evening.
So we made a time to meet up and head out.
I spotted the cache, but as I went to move my torch dropped and like a magnet was pulled into the water, illuminating from below. So while I went fishing SimsFamily retrocession the cache for a Joint [FTF]
Log signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the Traditional Cache Patogenic
