Today we decided to travel to Goulburn to do a little caching. The weather is perfect for it.We have had some solved puzzles that needed collecting also. Thanks to all the COs for their hides.
Goulburn our final day Our plan today was to cache within a radius of 10ks from the city.A nice way to visit the town & area is by following the geocaching trailThanks my_name_jeff_1 for hiding this cache.
Find # 10306Nice quick find.Strong magnet!TFTC my_name_jeff_1 19 January 2024 16:00
For me this is one of the closest, first findable cache since I left the coast this morningThanks for the cache
After a week at home, it was time for my first rip out of town. I had always been planning on this day being a Goulburn trip, and despite the change to the event I headed off to find a handful of caches and do a bit of cleaning up at the park. I managed to find a cache I overlooked on my first visit on my way to Goulburn and then get the caches I wanted around the outskirts, before joining up with another cacher for the CITO. There was some rubbish collected and then a chat before heading off to lunch and the drive home. It is nice to see the roadwork's complete here and the cache replaced into its spot. Thanks for the cache my_name_jeff_144639.4 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & March 2021 Search and Rescue A#440**Albida**
Went for a nice sunny drive to Goulburn to get some caches, visit a local friend and have the Soldiers Club's famous lamb cutlets. Found this one before heading to meet my friend. Glad to avenge this DNF also, no road work today. Not many cars on the road in general which made for a lovely country drive to the tune of Goulburn FM. Quick find at GZ. TFTC!
I needed to head into Canberra for a work meeting, I was lucky enough to have the time to find a few caches too.
Cheers

With the new WOC souvenirs starting today, I made the trip over to Goulburn to find some caches required to earn them. I ended up with six out of eight types. So, only two to go. I also found a couple of oldie (pre-2010) caches and a new D/T combo. It was a great mixture of cache finds today which included a few P&G’s and a couple of tough fishing pole cache finds. I ended the day with 22 finds and one DNF. When I arrived in Goulburn I had a pie from Trappers for B’fast and I had Hungry Jack’s for lunch. All in all, it was a great day out and I look forward to finding another trip to Goulburn in the near future to find some more caches. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today and for allowing them to bring the Geocaching community enjoyment. TFTE & TFTC’s!

After a 5km walk from the Bungonia Campground to the Lookdown Lookout and back, as part of a navigation research project, followed by another 2km to find Troglodyte #3, I made my way home via Marulan and Goulburn to knock off a bunch of periodic table caches. Cache easily found. TFTC.

Messaged Rapidlywild to see when her next RDO was and suggested taking today to attend the CITO and collect some caches around the Goulburn area. She was keen so one of the FFLL team took a TOIL day as well.
Lovely day for it although a little chilly and all caches were found and we were also given prior permission to replace if any were missing. Loved the number of tree fishing caches here they are a bonus. We were joined by fitzy_1965 for the remainder of our tour around Goulburn which was helpful.
Thanks for the hide my_name_jeff_1 and thanks for a fun day out Rapidlywild and company fitzy_1965.

Received a message from FFLL#1 about 2 weeks ago asking when my next RDO was at work, oh there is a daytime event on in Goulburn today? cool, so RDO was booked. We made our way up the highway and grabbed a couple caches prior to the event. We decided to start at the northern end of Goulburn and grab whatever we could throughout the day. We were joined by DSD before the event as we made our way across the mountain collecting caches we hadn't signed and post the event, we were joined by Fitzy. It was a great day out and about, the weather was wonderful and we had a lovely time, sure beats sitting in the office.
Now we had done the CITO, it was time to continue our adventures and we had Fitzy join us for the ride. Onto the next closest and this was the target. No issues at this one, signed and replaced for next finders.
Thanks for the cache placement and maintenance my_name_jeff_1 and thanks for a super fun day out and about FFLL

Hi my_name_jeff_1,
The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 28 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
If you require more time please be sure to **post a note** (not an email) explaining the situation and how much more time you require. For ongoing issues please ensure you visit the listing and post a new note every 28 days to keep everyone up to date, if you do not then you cache may be archived without further note from a reviewer. Caches archived due to lack of maintenance are no longer unarchived and you will need to submit a replacement as a new cache.

I was happy to have another event day in Goulburn arrive. It gave me the chance to venture out a little along the way, via Tarago and Windellama for a few remote caches before heading into Goulburn for two more tree caches and then the two events. As popular as ever, a great crowd at both.
I was out and looking before I read the logs and confirmed that I was not just being blind. Hopefully the road works will be over soon and the sign can return to being ignored by everyone except cachers.
Thanks.

Geocaching with IamCoust south east of collector all the way to Goulburn. Stopped twice by curious muggles, one with a possible shotgun in the car, as for the caches, most ok, some damp and some un-signable. A fun cold day out driving these country roads. TFTC
We stopped at GZ so it wasnt because of the road works we didnt find it.

Out for a few caches around Collector on a cool and windy day with Green-Martian. Most were found without issue but a good number of logs were damp or worse. Log signed and replaced before moving onto the next. Any details of note or interest added to the end log.
Still able to access GZ but it appears the cache is no longer there. Will need maintenance, but maybe after the major road works are completed. TNLNSL TFTC

Found with Cosmonaut97 and Firebatman88 on our way to the event in Goulburn (14 Dec 22)
Found with silverfox1970 and firebatman88 on our way to Goulburn. We're a family of nerds and geeks and thought this trail was awesome TFTC.
Day out in Goulburn. Managed to find around 50 caches. Signed and replaced. Thanks for the quality caches around Goulburn to find. Tftc
Driving the long way from Sydney to Melbourne. I stopped to grab this one along the way. As I walked towards GZ (having not read the hint), I spied a likely tree and walked in a straight line towards it. As I did so, I nearly fell over a knee-high, rusty barbed-wire fence. I now have a small bruised lump on my knee. Hint: Don't go barrelling towards the tree without looking out for the hidden fence!
Thanks for the cache, my_name_jeff_1!

minniek and I helped the CO plan, prepare and deploy all the caches in this series. The next of many you could say

And now, ASAP Science presents:
The elements of the Periodic Table!
[Verse 1]
There's Hydrogen and Helium
Then Lithium, Beryllium

Each period will see new outer shells
While electrons are added moving to the right
[Verse 2]
Iron is the 26th
Then Cobalt, Nickel coins you get
Copper, Zinc and Gallium
