F(H)ound It! #3886 @ 4:35 PMI explained to my companion, Dunnehunters, that this is probably the easiest of the TE Bridge caches. And very nice to retrieve a couple of quality caches placed by this CO on our walk today. We really enjoyed the little bridge and noted the difference between South and North of the bridge.thanks for the cache, Tankengine
Another glorious winters day in the capital! This is a terrific spot, I was unaware the Monaro Highway was ever diverted so there ya go, learn something new every day. Thanks!
I dropped my sister off at work this morning and had to get some more caches before i go back home to sydney tonight. Thanks tankengine for yet another beautiful location that i never knew about despite growing up here!
Another day spent Pre-Mega geocaching. We spent the morning planning a Suburb Attack, some of which we completed today. We also started one of those horrible Sequential Adventure Labs that are so prevalent down here. What was fascinating here was the transition from natural to man-made creek, as mentioned by the CO.Log signed and cache replaced as found on March 20, 2024. TFTC, Tankengine
Caching in Canberra to fond some of the Suburb caches with Hatzofff and RoddyC. I will take a long time to qualify for this one if I ever do.This eas a very quick and easy find. Log signed and replaced as found. TFTC
In Canberra now and today concentrating on the suburbs challenge.A nice quick find for the first for the day and it was a Tankengines.Caching with and signing with RoddyC hatzofff Imbunda.TFTCache Tankengine
Previously, I had only one find on 29th February, so mid afternoon I had finished with what occupied me earlier in the day, and set out to add a few more finds for the date. I rang Decrypter, reminded him of the date, and he drove over to join me in the hunt.A pretty creek...or one side is, and flowing today. I imagine as a child I might have been driven over this, as we lived for a few years in Cooma. I failed to make notes on this cache, but I think the cache and log were good. TFTC Tankengine.
Very cool nice view as well we were just going for a walk to find geocaches and found it definitely worth the walk
I walked here from Calwell Shops, and it was a nice walk There have been some intense rains this week so the creek (and the ground ) are full of water. I have never really been to the Calwell / Theodore area all that much, much less to actually explore to this degree, and since joining geocaching I have enjoyed the chance to go exploring all of these areas that not only I have never been, but that the majority of people would probably never think to come explore. I took the opportunity to take some nice photos of the bridge over the creek Thanks for the cache!
With three quarters of the Monday caching crew back together, we went out on the hustlings again this morning. This was one of the caches barb2e chose for the day. Isopeda was first at GZ but it was barb2eand I who noticed the cache first as it had not been put away correctly. The log was signed, and we were off to the next one.TFTC TEI have attached photos of today's floral offerings.
After a busy morning with the family caught up with Green-Martian for a tad of geocaching, Southside style. A good variety of cache hides and types, all testing our patience and skills one way or another. Also testing us were two healthy and active black snakes, intent on absorbing a few of the sun's warming rays. Unfortunately their peace and solitude were disturbed, making for some entraining foot action by GM, as he danced and skipped out of harms way. All was well though, the darkened wiggly sticks quickly slithered away and GMs heart rate eventually returned to normal.
Starting on a bridge, following the contours of the creek, we slowly ascended the grassy and on occasion spikey fields, continuing to a final point above that permitted sweeping views back down across the valley. Shortly before the sun set we turned out tails and returned roughly the way we came. All caches eventually found, some taking just a little longer than others. A family below were turning stones in the creek, caching local yabbies they said. TNLNSL TFTC

Today me and IamCoust cached near Monaro hwy, a few on one side and a few on the other side. The mystery caches that form a question mark the main targets (thanks for IamCoust for coordinates) of our day. Today the temperature was hovering in the mid 20s and as I was crossing a creek with IamCoust behind me I saw movement that slithered literally right beside my shoe and I jumped like I’ve never jumped before. A black snake and boy he was quick, he would be one of 2 that we would come across today. The second one was larger and both me and IamCoust suddenly started walking around the scrub and grass very cautiously. After many years of caching I’ve never seen 2 in 1 day, let alone any. It will be a hot 2023/2024 I think, it might be a sign.
As for the caches, thanks for every cache today, the traditionals, the multi and the mystery caches. Most in good Knick. Tftc

Found this on my way back to the car after breaching the fortress' defence.
The compass couldn't decide where to go, but I found it safe and dry.
You can see the cars whizzing past on the current Monaro Highway and I will join them in a minute to go back home.

I came to the location to gather the info for the nearby letterbox and grabbed this one as well. It is pretty cool how the creek changes. TFTH
Found whilst down south. Wanted a quick and easy one, and that's what I got. Interesting area. TFTC TE!
With half of our team on a bush walk with a group of others, the less mobile one of the team joined up with ALL7 early in the morning to beat the heat of the day to attack some tree climbs and some others along the way.
Very nice caching conditions in the morning which made for some very pleasant caching.
Once it warmed up we called it quits for the day.
Another quick find here as we passed it by while heading to another one.
Thanks for the cache Tankengine and thanks for the company and the laughs ALL7.

After everyone involved had a bit of a sleep in, I was happy to join up with Fitzy_1965, MinnieK and Sebass19 for an afternoon of poles and ladder caches in the southern suburbs of Canberra. After a few difficult caches yesterday, I was really happy to be able to find all of today's caches, even if I needed more eyes to find some of them.
As we worked out the finals for the Letterbox, MinnieK stepped over to this cache for a simple find in amongst all the higher challenges we took on for the day.

Headed into Canberra with fitzy_1965 for my first caching outing since recovering from Covid that hit over the Christmas period.
We met up with albida33 and sebass19 to collect some high terrain caches.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise stated.

29,664. Found with minniek, albida33 and sebass19 during a wonderful day's caching around Southern Canberra. Lots of Stars, both D and T, collected today.
With minniek feeling 100% again, we ventured in to Canberra and picked up a fantastic set of caches. We were here for the Letterbox Hybrid but of course couldn't go past this Tankengine Trad. Quickly located by minniek. Signed the log, replaced the cache exactly as found, then headed off to the next cache on the list. What an interesting location. Like a lot of people I'm fascinated by old infrastructure like this - especially since I more than likely travelled through here with my folks.
Thanks Tankengine !!

Cache 9395 on 12 Nov 2022.
Out with the usual suspects to grab a few caches Southside this morning. It had been a few weeks since we could coordinate some time to hang out and with the fine weather forecast for the morning, it was a no-brainer.
Picked up this one on the way past.
Thanks Tankengine for the cache and the fun!

So good to get out and about on a pleasant spring day. And what a nice birthday present - some caching with friends. FATZ (Fox, AngelG27, TikvaNZ and ZQX) ventured south to collect some high Ts and to add to the pool!!

With a community event down south (by the CO) on a lovely sunny Sunday I planned to do some caching before and after, especially as I have sooooo many caches to find down here.
This cache after the event was on the way to the last south side FTF we were hunting as a large group.
Thank you Tankengine for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

After the Celebrations event down south today a few of us came across to a new cache in the area and this was one we were walking right past. Love the location and ease of finding this cache which I did enjoy. Thanks for the cool cache Tankengine, worth a FP for this limpy, broken cacher to access and enjoy!
Picked up while getting the new letterbox
Thanks for hiding this cache Tankengine for me and others to find.
Thanks for hiding this cache Tankengine for me and others to find.
We stopped to find this hide on our way to another one that was nearby. It was just after the caching event this morning, and we were astounded at the size of the giant pothole on the bridge here.
A quick search revealed the goods, and we have added our name to the log.
Thanks Tankengine

After a morning trip to Goulburn with AngelG27 and ZQX to target some higher D/T caches, I continued to cache in the ACT finding some of the more recently placed caches. A quick find here. Another spot I hadn't visited before. TFTC.

Quick & easy find in the obvious spot
I was here just recently with DSD for 2 hours putting our heads & tools together for something fun after he had been waiting since his NM logs on the old cache since May, unfortunately had to come back today to remove what we had done! Oh well, you can't always win!

Very pretty location, loved the water flows. Here with friends on our way down south. TFTC Tankengine.
A bit of a rush to get second to find. I find it hard to believe how much water is about. TFTC
