We are on a caravanning trip around Australia seeing the sights and finding a few caches along the way. Solved these ones while I was waiting my 10 minutes on the 100 to 1 cache. Since I wanted to get a multi before I left canberra I decided on this one as it was close by.Thanks for putting this multi together
After collecting the details for this while doing a nearby AL and after completing the log signing for one yesterday did a quick drive by to collect the remaining as I hadn't noticed these silly sausages stacked togetherTftc
I had limited time during the Mega Event here earlier in the year, so this Multi series took a back seat. I did nip over and snap a pic of the sigh however, so I could establish the final coords for each of them, in the comfort of a lounge chair and perhaps with a scotch to my side. In the Nation's Capital for just a couple of days, I headed in after work to have a go at a couple of the series and some of the puzzles just to the south. This being the first was a nice quick find and I was pleased with the distinct lack of passing vehicles as I extracted the log and added my name. All done and container reassembled, I continued up the road to the next closest.Cheers DSD.
Once the sun had broken through and things had warmed up a bit we headed off to the Botanic Gardens a place we had visited many years ago. The Rainforest Walk Mrs SKI remembered, and it is just like some areas close to where we live, The banksias were out and well worth a look. Some in flower we have in our garden at home! You can't be in this area without a visit to Black Mountain, but it is looking quite sad and run down. Most of the viewing areas are now obscured and the Tower is closed. Then it was time to head to the museum, and finally pout for a big tea down south, that we probably should have passed on, but was still enjoyable.Of course we collected a few caches on the way, quite a variety.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache DARKSIDEDAN.**SKI Pair****
Find # 12067Had this one on my list of finds to log from the Mega Haze Daze! Thanks for the cool multis. Loved the stacking. Tricky! All caches located, retrieved, signed, and replaced. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for Sausages of the World - Farinheira
Catching up on some late logs when attending the Geobash Mega in Canberra. Took the opportunity to explore the many sights in and around Canberra and grabbed this one along the way. This was a nice multi that was solved a few days ago, then a quick find at GZ.Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Last day in Canberra before heading home and the only cache for today. Now for dinner. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN
I had worked these finals out with scramping while hevwalker was helping LB out with some sewing/stitching Tonight Princess1005 and I headed out to do a bit of night caching as tomorrow we will be leaving Canberra Park to head home and I want to clear my solved puzzle pieces off my map TFTC DARKSIDEDANKeep smiling
00:37April Fools/Easter Monday...OK, technically the next day, but whatever. After returning from a Star Wars mail run, n0w0rries headed off to bed, while I wandered back to my car, and a few more caches before finding somewhere to sleep.Of course that meant more Challenges. And at least one or two of the caches I've resolved coordinates of during this visit. This was, obviously, one of the latter, bringing me back near the Mega site and off on a track. Thanks, DARKSIDEDAN. Now I'm even hungrier. But sleep beckons. Maybe I should just sneak back in there for a bit of stealth camping...#8726

It was only fitting that this is the last cache to be found of the Canberra mega trip, as I had joined team PORK!Posums / Papi OzHockeyChick Roaming Howie and me.It has been a great adventure and now off to our final dinner before departing the ACT tomorrow.thanks for these quick little multis
Well it is Canberra Geobash Mega time and Im spending 6 nights up here on the Mega site and also the ACT has put on some brilliant weather for us so far during the day.Well it is day 4 for me and it was a very fresh and chilly start to the morning for the 5am event.Back to the Mega site for a coffee then I was going to start with finding a few Virtuals for a challenge cache.Left site as the sun was coming up to beat the crowds. After spending a fair bit of the morning around the lake and surrounds collect Virtuals, then it was trek up Mt Painter to find a few more plus Canberras first in the afternoon then a CITO thrown in.After the CITO Team GPORk reformed and soon became GPPORK.Now to finish off the day with a meal of sausages that Kristysadventures and I had solved earlier on.It had gotten dark by the time we had gotten to this one so we grabbed our headlamps again to look for this one.Cache was soon located. This was the last one for the night and then it was off to tea to say goodbye as sadly Kristysadventures was leaving us tomorrow morning. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN TFTMC.
Day #7 Geobashing We were off to the Deep Space Tour today as well the CITO so targeted specific Canberra caches along the way with OzHockeyChick, kristysadventures, papi4506 and GeoTurtle37. Day six of my Canberra Mega experience started early, attending the event with a large group of keen cachers before returning to the accommodation to pack up I C Nothing and getting them off to the airport grabbing a few caches along the way.Joined in the Canberras First tour and collect a couple of containers I missed when here earlier in the week. The afternoon was spent again chasing adventure labs, some older caches, those with high favourite counts and general sightseeing with geotrakka, Meme28, neva2old and Burns345 (signing as WA5)A quiet evening was spent reminiscing about a great week and gettings packed away for my flight out tomorrow. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for placing Sausages of the World - Farinheira for me and others to find.I added my name to the log at 06:21 on 1/4/2024.This is find number 8784 for me.
Something special or unusual goes here:Once solved we enjoyed the walk down to here although in hindsight it probably would have been easier to drive. Once here we made a quick find. The Generic Bit:The Capital Geobash Adventure 2024. Day 10: last full day in Canberra Yet again today myself, Anymules and Muff1 set out to try and find a few more caches. We concentrated on cleaning up a few caches around the Mega site and previously solved puzzles.. We also managed a few other caches whilst passing so close. ***Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
I think this is the last of the local sausage multis for me.Closest to home base as well. Thanks for this series
Woo Hoo - I found it, with the help of one or two other Victorians, while in Canberra attending the Capital GeoBash. I had worked the co-ords out a couple of days ago but hadn't got around to finding and signing the log. As I was arriving back to Canberra Park tonight, there was movement at GZ, I couldn't help myself and drove down to join in. The others were just heading off but pointed me in the right direction (which I greatly appreciated). Log was signed and I headed back to the Park for dinner. Many thanks Possums, Roaming Howie and OzHockeyChick for your assistance.
Infoferret and I were happy to add this multi to our list today and adding our name to the log. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!The day:Today was day 4 of my time in Canberra for the GeoBash Mega from the U.S. and getting to spend time with my friends. Hooray! It was Easter morning and my original plan was to attend a service with other geocachers. Unfortunately, the minister was unable to attend which we didn't find out until late the night before. Another new friend I made in New Zealand, Infoferret, had come to the service only to find out what I already knew. We decided to pick up some of the caches around the mega area together. We walked to some and drove to others and managed to find everything we sought. That's always a good thing. AND I got to spend time with Infoferret that I might otherwise not have. Many thanks to all the geocachers who placed and continue to maintain their geocaches for folks like me to find. I know it's not always easy, but know that I appreciate you.
Picked up while doing munzees ??Its Mega time. Thanks for getting me out and about DARKSIDEDAN

Out with echocage1 for the afternoon we found this and another n the series on our way back to geocaching headquarters for the weekend. Access was pretty good with a short walk from where we could park the car. I was pretty tired by this time we got here..
Whilst I was off finding the other three sausages, the rest of the family snagged this one. ??Thanks DSD
We made a last minute decision to head down to Canberra to join in all the fun at the Capital GeoBash MEGA Event. Only able to attend on the Saturday & Sunday, with an overnight stay at the border on Saturday night in a park cabin at the Eaglehawk Caravan Park, as it's back to work early Monday morning for geodad. Today (day 2) started with a couple of Traditional cache finds right out the front of our overnight accommodation (Eaglehawk Caravan Park), then drove back to the GeoBash MEGA site for some more Labs and Gadget caches, and then a few MultiCaches (plus a Traditional cache) located close to the GeoBash site. It was then time for us to hit the highway and head for home, with a stop-off at Goulburn's Big Merino for a Virtual cache, a Mystery/Puzzle cache, a Traditional cache, as well as petrol, pies & cakes from Trappers Bakery, and Maccas for ice cream. Photos will be uploaded to logs on our return to home base. This was the 26th of 34 finds for the day (day 2), and 48th of 56 finds for the MEGA weekend. After a fun filled morning of Labs and Gadget caches at the GeoBash MEGA we headed out to the front of the MEGA site for some tasty sausages, and this was the first of four on the menu. Tracked down all of the ingredients and soon had the sausage's hiding spot deciphered.Decided to walk to this one, to build up our appetites, and soon arrived at GZ and made a reasonably quick find of the tasty snag. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC DARKSIDEDAN.Find #6809
Well I was in the middle of the thinking I should go and work out this one as I missed it earlier. But that was not to be as it had already been found by Tracey while she was out with a few others. Thanks to the others in the group that assisted us with this one. Number 1998. 1 to go which will be the wedding. Then we can log the Capital Geobash for a 2000 milestoneTFTC

Over here for Capital GeoBash Mega. One of many hidden caches all over the city and surrounds for Mega Day weekend. Part of deaf geocachers today. A sunny day to you all. Log full so a replacement log placed inside. TFTC
Found in the evening dark, which made it a little more difficult than it needed to be - until the hint was looked at.When I first arrived here, this location struck me as being decidedly cachey. I would never looked for this type of hide here though. At least I feel semi-vindicated, lolThanks for the hide.
#1865Super excited to be attending GeoBash shenanigans this weekend with my Welder kids and puppy free thats the way we like it! Having been up here 18 months ago we had a fairly good idea what we were going to target this time tick some boxes in some more challenges, pick up some new surrounding LGAs, target some oldies and find some new shiny ones! Thanks to all involved in Mega for putting such a great event and also for ordering the perfect weather! Thanks for the cache!
This is the Geobash boomerang trip, why boomerang? Whizzed past this area last week on the way home from South Australia and here I am back again. This cache, why?space hunt missionQuite a few people said they didn't expect to see me back for the Mega here and neither did I once I'd returned to Brisbane last week. Some investigations on the car and a final decision on Wednesday night and the speedy turnaround on unpacking, washing and repacking the car saw me leaving Brisbane on Thursday lunch time and arriving in Canberra on Friday morning. Phew!Has been great catching up with everyone again and enjoying the activities and the wedding yesterday. Early start this morning and a bit chilly for a Queenslander but having fun scooting around finding caches before the car parade.Teamed up with surefoot24 to finish the Geobash Space Hunt competition today. Have a list of what we need to do and we is sticking to it- NO distractions!Answers have been sent for approval. TFTC
Found during the Mega event in Canberra over the Easter long weekend. Our team comprised courtneyrose_, Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Featherwaite, Freddo, gridge98 and Team Waldron, signing the logs as ABP to save time and space in the logbooks , or with our individual caching names. Enjoyed a great weekend away finding a rewarding range of cache types, d/t combinations, cache hides and retrievals. Thanks for the cache DARKSIDEDAN!

Geobash Easter Mega - Day #3 (Easter Saturday 30/3)Day three saw me head up the Federal Hwy towards Goulburn for a family reunion. I was asked to be there for at least a little while. So I left early and soon enough I found myself finding some solved WIGs and Letterboxs as well as others to and from Canberra. It was a great trip. Though I was pushing it time wise to get back in time for the big event [GCAKTHC]. I ended up getting back around 2:15pm-ish and that means I was just in time for the big event. That was certainly my first ever Geocaching Wedding attended. Congratulations Fitzy & Minniek. Afterwards A group of us went and found some nearby caches. Most of them were DSD multi-caches. Then it was time to head off and get some dinner and then back to the motel for some sleep. TB visit. If the cache wasnt signed as JohnoMawbs, it was signed as JM or as the tour group name. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTEs & TFTCs After the Wedding, I headed off with a couple of others to find the nearby muti-caches. Also there were a couple of others added to the mix. This was one of those finds. After solving GZ we headed off to find it. A nice quick find at GZ. Once signing duties were complete we headed off to the next one. Thanks for placing this great cache.
Im getting really hungry with these sausage caches. Saw people looking under the tree here yesterday. Signed as the Roos.
Found on our journey over the week here. This weekend was mega weekend and we headed over with Courtneyrose_ Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite as part of our team called: ABP (Alphabet People), the log books were either signed with the name, ABP or our individual caching names.A great weekend away in the capital and a very well organised mega, it was nice to be back in the ACT caching once again over easter with great weather. Thanks for the cache

Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter.Today I teamed up with FeatherWaite, Team Waldron, gridge98, CourtneyRose, Freddo and Davidwazza. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks DARKSIDEDAN for the cache.
During our weeks trip with Bare Foot Guru, Infoferret and Trinity to the Canberra Mega we logged as a combination of "BFG, CF, BIC, BITC" depending on who we were caching with at the time. The trip took us on a flight to Melbourne first, then a drive to Canberra, followed by a drive to Sydney before flying out again. Where possible I will add commentary to each find about the cache. Thanks for all the caches, hides and effort put into hiding and maintaining them.Took a little while to figure out the solving as it appeared too simple.. And then the browser cached the results so we got duplicate answers and had to start all over again. Found after a small search
One of the few caches I managed to find during the GeoBash Mega. This time as I munzee'd my way around the site with K8tybee, Countrykittykat, GLISS! and a crew of others. Thanks for another crazy series. Who knew there were so many types of sausages! Thanks for the cache.
No matter how much you plan a PQ while attending a mega, there will always be more finds pointed out by other attendees. As I needed a multi for todays date, took the opportunity of a close WP and GZ for the bonus smiley.
Found this during a fantastic weekend away at the Canberra Mega, with gridge98, Freddo, Team Waldron, e.gregory1, Davidwazza and Featherwaite. The log books were either signed with the name ABP or our individual caching names. Was an excellent Mega, grateful to be part of it!

Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. A weekend of caching, labing, laughter, fun, and adventure with my great mates The Rats and Steeba. Just want I needed! A weekend like this is good for the soul.We headed from Wollongong to the Canberra Mega, via many caches and Labs along the way. We had a 48 hour early Easter window of opportunity that we needed to exploit! As always the banter was excellent, and the caching secondary to that. We found a lot of excellent caches, and this boiler plate log should not detract from them in any way.Thank you to all of the cache hiders, and the event committee.Cheers
In Canberra for GeoBash 2024 and had an amazing time today. I met up with some old caching buddies and some new ones for some epic caching fun. We solved some tricky puzzles, found loads of caches, and even tried some tree climbs. This is one of the caches we found today. Thank you for the cache!
