Out enjoying the day and getting some exercise This is a great trail and neat to have all these caches on it. No swimming today but could be tempting in the summer TFTC
Always happy to change a green face to a yellow smiley. Were driving up to the Coromandel so detoured a little to pick this one up. TFTC
Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there currently staying near Ngatea for a few days we had decided that we would drive over to Kopu & then get the bikes out & bike some of the Kopu to Paeroa Section of the Hauraki Rail Trail (HRT) weather wasnt looking that great but we went anyway cache was easily found, after a bit of a search oh, and just for your info, what with the number of cows in the nearby paddocks, there aint no-way that Ill be swimming here! more than pleased to add this 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS #5,590 for Us!
Thank you for the cache. Out on the trail with PomTom44. Hopefully someone is able to adopt the trail as will be a shame to see it archived. Great series of caches.we nearly marked as a DNF until i slipped down a bit of hill in my awd crocs and found the object that has been overgrown
Day 1 of our two day adventure doing the Rail Trail with BearCache #11Total found so far: 10Spent a long time searching for this one, first a quick search, then a detailed search, checking each post thoroughly.was about to give up when a small slip from Bear revealed a missed post covered by overgrowthQuickly found the cache after that, signed, and returned, then onto the next
Out and about with the shoebs family once again. Found by Mr Shoebs. Mr PorknPuha looked with his eyes shut.TFTC
Yay! We wondered if this o e was still there as it hadn't been found for so long. The retaining pist in question us totally overgrown. Good hide. TFTC
For some reason this took me much longer than it should have !
Thought I had been thorough....but obviously not enough.
I was so glad to finally sign it off....
These cows cheered me on!
Glad to have it found before dark....!

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… A good day for a drive across the Waikato. It feels like summer today…
Based on our fail at Bridge B22, we were slightly anxious about this hide. Thankfully, it was neither hanging nor a DNF. It was positioned according to the hint. Thanks vectis. TFTC.

Biked part of the HRT today, starting at Paeroa and heading towards Thames. Turned around after 17kms and headed back. We searched for 20 caches and were successful with 16. We suspect that some of our 4 DNFs were actually missing, ones that should have been simple finds. Interesting that quite a number of caches along this trail haven’t been found for four or five months. Would’ve thought a “power trail” like this would be a real drawcard to cachers wanting to bump up their numbers!
Found it at about the fourth hint object we tried. #5879. TFTC.

Wee walk to pick up the new ones to get the yellow smiles

It was only a short detour to grab a couple of new caches in the HRT, so done and done. TFTC.
Nice little walk to this one. Cache was soon located and signed. As I made my way back across the bridge I spent some time watching the water go by. Thank you for the placement.
We particularly enjoyed visiting this spot when we explored the rail trail in 2019 so were very pleased to come back here today to find this cache.
There was no one around and we enjoyed stopping here for a while to enjoy the scenery and take a few photos.
After initially checking the wrong spot we soon located the cache in the second place we looked. Nice container and we took the trackable to continue its journey.
After re-hiding the cache we headed off to find the other new cache further along the trail.
Thanks vectis for bringing us back here.
