For some reason this took me much longer than it should have !

Thought I had been thorough....but obviously not enough.

I was so glad to finally sign it off....

These cows cheered me on!
Glad to have it found before dark....!

With Gap (of Fap and Gap)… A good day for a drive across the Waikato. It feels like summer today…

Based on our fail at Bridge B22, we were slightly anxious about this hide. Thankfully, it was neither hanging nor a DNF. It was positioned according to the hint. Thanks vectis. TFTC.

17-Feb-23
Biked part of the HRT today, starting at Paeroa and heading towards Thames. Turned around after 17kms and headed back. We searched for 20 caches and were successful with 16. We suspect that some of our 4 DNFs were actually missing, ones that should have been simple finds. Interesting that quite a number of caches along this trail haven’t been found for four or five months. Would’ve thought a “power trail” like this would be a real drawcard to cachers wanting to bump up their numbers!

Found it at about the fourth hint object we tried. #5879. TFTC.

Nice little walk to this one. Cache was soon located and signed. As I made my way back across the bridge I spent some time watching the water go by. Thank you for the placement.

We particularly enjoyed visiting this spot when we explored the rail trail in 2019 so were very pleased to come back here today to find this cache.
There was no one around and we enjoyed stopping here for a while to enjoy the scenery and take a few photos.
After initially checking the wrong spot we soon located the cache in the second place we looked. Nice container and we took the trackable to continue its journey.
After re-hiding the cache we headed off to find the other new cache further along the trail.
Thanks vectis for bringing us back here.
