Short Trip Away Day #3 [25/11] of 3Day three of my holidays (and day #3 of 3 for my trip away) saw me leaving the motel early to start the day. I started by heading over to Fyshwick for a couple of caches over there. For nice easy-ish ones. Three in the Fyshwick Forrest and one over in the park next to Maryborough St. After finding those ones, I headed over to Belconnen to find a couple of others and then onto the Mall for lunch. While at the Mall, I also did a game of 10 pin bowling because why not? I got a score of 120. Once I finished up in the Mall, I started making my way home. I found the next lot of power trail caches along Dog Trap Rd. I have decided on doing these caches section by section given, I drive past/through here so much. From there, I headed home while finding one more in Binalong before getting home. It was a great weekend away and I quite enjoyed catching up with everyone. TB visit. Some caches were signed as JM. A big thanks to the CO for adding this cache to game for the Geocaching community to enjoy. TFTCs!
Reperio 10:20Up early this morning for a full day of caching around the Yass and Goulburn area, and the rain that was predicted the day before well and truly arrived. In and out of the car in short bursts carried on throughout most of the day until later in the evening when things settled down. Most of the caches were found in good order today. Found this one a good 12m from GZ.Gratias Sui_001As a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

Got a ladder and checked up high; couldn't feel any cache, so checked down low. Looked a bit further away. No luck. DNF!
Found it: 30/03/2024Sorry for falling behind with logs. Ive been busy catching up with family and also been unwell. I havent completed logs from events - QOBM, Leap Day and Canberra Mega, so am catching up now. Thank you for the cache and hunt.
Out caching today with friends. 3 of us having a fun time each trying to be the first to get a hold of the cache. We signed as team JAR to save log room. Joojoo57, Aussie Liahona and RichmondLad. Many thanks to all the COs who hid the caches we found today for ensuring this was a great caching day while we were attending the MEGA. Cheers and happy caching!
Found with isopeda on a morning out caching after an early start to the day. Just a bit of a dance around the poles.Tftc
Barb2e and I are on a drive to find countryside caches. We danced a bit around, but didn't take our clothes off. TFTC *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
A day out caching west of Murrumbateman saw Team JAR finding quite a few caches but leaving the high climbs etc to the more able cachers. Thanks to all the COs for placing and maintaining their caches for us to find and admire the lovely countryside.
Out and about around the Murrumbateman country side. We signed the log as JAR when the caches were found. Thank you for the placement of the caches for us cachers to find. TFTC
Since I'm in Canberra for Mega, I've enjoyed seeing many places as well as the warm weather. Here's one to find today.Thank you for placing the cache ?? Sui_001.
Over here for Capital GeoBash Mega. One of many hidden caches all over the city and surrounds on Mega Day itself. Part of deaf geocachers and friends - WACDG, TFTC
Another massive day with the WA Crew signing WAC. If we arent up trees, we are wading through water or hiking mountains. We are grateful for locals who have shared their TOTT with us. Since we all flew to get to Canberra, it wasnt possible to bring the tools necessary for the high terrain caches. For some of the day we cached with an awesome group signing DG as deaf group; truly a generous and welcoming group. Thanks for your contribution in hiding this cache to make our experience as amazing as its been so far. Please forgive us if the dates are incorrect; we are catching up online logging whenever we find
I've enjoyed seeing many places and beautiful views and very different from other states. Beautiful day and saw thick fogs Beautiful drive country road with my brand new Prado 4x4 With Deaf TeamThank you so much
More big days of caching as WAC consisting of Lachlan1.77, Leg5, neva2old, Barnzy12 and me. So many caches, so little time. Too many tree climbs for my liking but Im a chicken from way back. Thanks to other cachers for helping supply some of the required tools for the higher terrain caches. Thanks to you for supplying some of the hides Im finding.
Found with a group and signed as WACDG during Mega event. Sui_001, thank you so much for placing it for everyone to enjoy and highlighting this area.
Hot weather today on country road. Found with a group and signed as WACDG during Mega event. TFTM

Widening the search helps with this one. Clever hide and what we thought we were looking for. TFTC
We think this cache does a bit of dancing from pole to pole, as we had to widen our search to locate it. SL at 3.06pm with beavar. A variety of hides and hiders along this road. #10, 854 TFTC Sui_001
This is not what we were expecting to find when we got to GZ. A nice quick find for us here today. Thanks for placing this cache for all to enjoy.
This was a nice quick, easy find. Log book signed and all returned as found. Not off to the Mega in Canberra. Thanks for the cache.
In the area to grab a few caches. We found a variety of hides, some easy, and many much harder.Signed and replaced as found. Many thanks for placing this cache, Sui_001, for us and others to find.
Found after a short search, what I was expecting but not where. Thanks for the cache Sui_001
Another day out in Yass. Got around 30 caches for the day. Signed and replaced. Tftc
A tour of cache finding to-day around the country side area to the south of Yass. I tried this one some time ago but lost patience and failed to find. Nice quick find to-day once a increased the search area slightly. TFTC.
Found with Tankengine, Aquilus1, Kittykatch and Joolay. Found with the hint and expanding our search from GZ. Tftc!!!
Took a bit of searching. Coords out a bit. Checked a few obvious spots and found it.Thanks for getting me out and about Sui_001
Out exploring Yass with Joolay, Aquilus1, dty73 and Tankengine. It took a while to locate as our coords had GZ at the corner, not further along the fence. Funny to see the frog that had jumped out of the hide location. Thanks for the cache.
Found with Joolay, KittyKatch, dty73 and Tankengine with a little Murrumbateman and region caching. It's a nice cooler day to be out finding a few of the caches that most still needed. There is always plenty left for another day, and having stopped for lunch here, I would be keen to return. Reading logs to go east helped. It's very clear once it was spotted. Lots of butterflies and even a frog at GZ.
No luck here today, one finder said search east along the fence line, another said search north along the fence line, neither helped me...
Just out about to catch up geocaching quick find placed back where it belong TFTC
Found whilst out caching with fitzy_1965.
Took the long way home for a few to fulfil a challenge of ours.
All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

31,930. Found with minniek on the way home this afternoon - the scenic route yet again.
Needing a few caches today, we took the well worn road up here for a couple of caches including a LBH which I specifically wanted. This next cache seemed very familiar. Oh yeah - we was with the CO when he put out a very similar cache out past Yass. So we looked for a tell tale sign, and quickly located the cache. Stamped the log, replaced the cache as found, then headed back to the car and on to the next cache.
Thanks Sui_001 !!

Decided to go on a bit of a cache hunt today with ilook4geo even though it promised to be a hot day. We found a good selection with some being very easy to find and some taking more time. We used the info from previous logs to make the find here the log soon had two more names on the list. Thanks go Sui_001 for this cache placement.
Shared the find here with goingplaces2 and had no problem with this one after getting some help from other logs. All was good with the container and log, which was quickly signed. TFTC.
Found with O319 on our day caching around the area. We needed to widen the search area before finding it.
This one took us a little longer but we got there in the end.
Thanks, Sui_001!
Thanks, Sui_001!
A not so quick pickup on the way through. After coming up empty handed we read the logs but had searched in the wrong direction. In the end we found the cache some 11m from GZ along the fence heading northwards. TFTC Sui_001.
Our for a day of caching around Murrumbateman. Lots to get, however focusing on the more challenging caches such as tree climbs. Also picking up ones close by. TFTC
Cache 9849 on 4 Mar 2023.
I am hoping to make the Rutherglen mega event cache number 10,000, so I have a fair few to get between now and then, 181 to be exact. So today SpecimenX and I headed out to Yass again to get some numbers. Happily, Search4 joined us while having some coffee and pastry at Clementine Bakery so we ended up with a mini posse of 3, signing ourselves as A.S.S. for the later caches, which are the initials of our caching names, not us being rude! Okay, maybe a little bit I managed to score 44 for the day before calling it quits. Still so many to find near Yass, I remember a distant past when I had found all the caches in Yass. Thanks to SpecimenX and Search4 for excellent company and cache finding!
Cache found easily and in line with any hints provided. Found the cache a little away from our GZ.
Thanks Sui_001 for the cache and the fun!

Teamed up with AngelG27 to hit some more caches around Yass to help get some numbers up After some caching and a cafe stop, we were joined by Seach4 to grab some more and those were signed as A.S.S to save time/space lol
Went straight to the pole at GZ and checked it out but nothing. It wasn't until I moved 10m away I saw something which then lead to the cache [^]
Thanks for the hide, Sui_001

Out and about with FFLL#1 and ALL7 to pick up some countryside caches. Was nice weather today and we managed to get our names in all the caches we attempted. There were a couple we didnt attempt due to their placements but thats all good. Logs signed as FAR (FurfacesLL, ALL7 and Rapidlywild) for those which we all needed, otherwise it was individual names.
First cab off the ranks today, took a few minutes to locate this as the GZ takes you to once place, which isnt where the cache was. Eventually got our scribble into the log and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache placement Sui_001 and thanks for a nice day out FFLL and ALL7.

Last minute change of plans meant Saturday was now free. So plans were made with ALL7 and Rapidlywild to go and collect a few caches that had popped up on the map. Actually there are heaps to do but getting the time to do them is rare.
Weather was ideal for caching which made for a pleasant day out in the countryside.
All caches we attempted we found including a couple we could see but valued life a little more to attempt. So no DNF's for us today which was nice.
This was the first one for the day and it took a bit of searching as the GZ was a little off.
Thanks for the hide Sui_001 and thanks for the fun and laughs ALL7 and Rapidlywild

I have stopped at this cache before, and sat here for 15 minutes. But I felt like I was being watched by the construction on the other side of the road so was reluctant to search and left it!
It was midnight this time.... nobody around as expected. Searched the obvious spot that fits the terrain rating without luck. Soon found the cache in a spot that doesn't match the terrain rating instead. Weird! Thanks

It was 7:30pm the night before New Years Eve. Chatting to injuryman I mentioned how I was 34 cache finds short of my biggest year ever. I didn't have much motivation to beat this statistic and get across the line, but thankfully injuryman did! He said "Let's go night caching, I'll be at your house in 30 minutes".
So, that's what we did! I quickly searched for the closest & easiest 30+ caches to grab, but of course there weren't many as I have done most of them! We ended up starting in Sutton, grabbing the string of caches I had vowed never to find because of where they were placed, but thankfully doing them late at night before the night that everyone else stays up late was perfect. The very busy road was quiet for once, and we only saw about 6 cars go past, it was nerve wrecking every time they did though, and almost all of them stopped to check why we were half parked on the road with our hazards, but I'm glad to not have to look at those unfound caches on my map again after driving past them usually at least once a week!
We then did the full length of "Yass River Road". Here we didn't see a single car for several hours! Lots of potholes and a few other little things to navigate through / around, but not too bad. The grass was OVER head high the whole time though, and we clocked up a few DNF's.
Once we had popped out the other side to Murrumbateman, we headed to Dog Trap Road just for a few more caches to get the number we were looking for. A string of DSD Letterbox caches just outside town did the trick here, with a couple trads and even a Challenge thrown in! These caches were excellent, and our favourite of the night. Quiet roads, larger sized containers, well placed. Appreciate that!
Our last cache find was at 1am on the 31st. So yes, our finds for tonight were spread over two dates (30th / 31st)! Eventually got home and in bed by 2am after that! Phew...!
Thanks injuryman for giving me company to surpass my "Best caching year" and thanks to InnocentApple, ALL7 and DSD for hiding park and grabs, which do come in handy sometimes even if they aren't my favourite thing to do anymore! We also got one Sui cache, and a Sui hide that was disguised as a DSD cache which had us confused for ages as we were looking for a DSD hide instead, so thanks to him too

No luck with this one today. Lots of workers around. Couldn't have a good look Thx for placing the cache.
I joined up with up Smitten Granny for a morning caching to Murrumbateman and beyond onto Dog trap road for as many of the new caches as we could to get to a nice round twenty five caches. Whilst it did not rain on us today, it was very wet underfoot every where and there was road fixing getting under way on Dog Trap road near the Murrumbateman junction. The walk around the stock reserve should have been done in gum boots, but we made it without having to find a canoe.
Thanks for the cache Sui_001
