It is not going to be possible to replace the cache at the same coordinates once the area has been redeveloped so we will archive this cache and maybe a new cache will spring up at some stage.
We left this active for a short while to enable those who had done the groundwork to be able to log the find but we will disable this now until the earthworks and water diversions are completed.
Thanks for your patience.

Thanks for finding a new final cache location. Great tour of a part of Shirley I didn't know existed. (Logged this a month after doing it as I had forgotten the date I found it - had to go back to the cache today to check) TFTC
Had a bit of trouble reaching the cache with my leather soled shoes on so back to the car to change into my trainers, ah! much better.
Enjoyed visiting the WP's earlier this year and it's very nice to be able to complete this one, thank you very much Sallies [^] for enabling us to do so, much appreciated.

Came and found the temporary cache. Thanks for setting that up. Area certainly changed, should be nice once it's finished.

Wow - there is an amazing reconstruction work being done in the area of the final cache. When it is completed it will be absolutely wonderful. At the moment the original cache site in under earthworks but when the area is restored we will be able to do something about this final leg of the cache.
In the meantime there are 3 cachers who have done the leg-work for this cache so we have placed a temporary cache in a nearby spot and emailed them the coordinates.
We will disable the cache in about a week's time and then wait until the earthworks have been completed before replacing the cache in its permanent position.

We solved all the clues and found the cache site as described in the clue - but no cache! We suspect the cache has wandered.
Answered all the questions and found the cache site but no cache and no tree, oh well, it's good to be home now coz the southerly has arrived.
Pretty sure I worked this one out and I certainly ended up next to a netting fence beside a creek but no cache found. In fact no tree found either now that I check the spoiler pic.
Did all the hard work last year but couldn't find the cache. This time i couldn't find the tree! . T4TC Sallies - M@
Quite a tour this one. All fairly straight forward though. A fun way of spending a summer evening. TFTH,cheers.
All pretty straight-forward apart from the last clue where I found certain undergrowth caused an error in my count. Soon sorted and off I headed for a very, um, exposed find!

Yay I went back after work today and found the wee cache,,Thanks for the replacement Sallies, cheers Bo
We went out today and checked the area. The cache probably was missing so we have placed a new - clear - film container in a small hole at ground level between the two stumps. At present the stumps are covered with green growth but this is likely to die off and disappear very soon. This cache will probably not last much longer because of the council's determination to do away with all tree matter in this area.
I had solved this one a long time ago and had forgotten all about it,so I went and checked the final location yesterday with out having read the last log,, I looked in every nook and crany but could not locate the cache,, But now having seen the last log I will go back and have another look,,cheers
[Bit late in logging this one, was just looking for Un-found caches in the area and this one popped up. Took two attempts as when we arrived at GZ the place was packed with sports teams so departed to return again. This time arrived at GZ to find what I would have expected the cache to be hidden in Gone! After a hunt and a Text to the cache owners confirmed I was in the right spot] actually found the cache covered in sawdust, and before I got a reply from the Sallies comfirming the location.[Thanks for a nice wee tour of the area, and a challenging final hunt]
That was a nice little trip around some scenic suburbia. Nice puzzle, no problems. Thanks.
Came back to this one yesterday but there were sporting folk close by and the area was looking a "wee" bit wet. Came back this morning and found the cache easily enough. Thanks for the maintenance on this Sallies Much appreciated. TFTC
Had a lovely trip around the suburbs, nice day, really enjoyed it. TFTC, TNLN
Hey an FTF! Well, for the new replacement cache anyway.
Like everyone else I had grovelled around looking for a non-existent cache about a month ago. I was going to do another replacement cache tonight but the weather was so good I decided on a longer ride out to this one.
TFTC!

Sorry - we have been out of the country for a while so got to this as soon as we could.
The cache was missing but it is replaced as near to the original spot as possible. It is likely to get quite damp in wet weather!

Seeing as we had a day for finding caches that we have previously failed at, we went back to have a look for this one. No luck here, and no finds since October 2006. I think it's fair to say this has gone, and needs to be replaced or archived.
Add us to the unsuccessful list. We did the work, found the right spot, checked out the hiding spot, thoroughly, and there was nothing to be found.
I visited all the Waypoints and gathered all the info except the required stream name. Is it on a sign or something?
I was not functioning 100% as I was wet and bedraggled. I could hardly see out of my spotted glases. I should have knocked on a door and asked a local I guess, or simply stopped long enought to see the logical answer but I gave up. I have since figured out a name that makes sense? and I have since plotted a final that fits, so hopefully its there for next time?

Bummer! - got right to the end but couldn't find the cache for the life of me. There seemed only two obvious places, one was a swimming pool but my hand took a dip nonetheless.

Easy find with Larkminda from Nelson but cache was soaked! We logged our find on a separate piece of paper as the cache log was a bit too wet to write on. We let it dry out a bit, but it was still damp when we had to replace it and go. Thanks
This one's been on the list for awhile.
A quick find after collecting the co-ords, thanks for the trip.

Enjoyed searching for the clues. Had no trouble getting it right first time. Cache easy to find with correct cordinates.
First multi of this size. Did a bit of driving round an area i knew nothing about. Thanks
A spot of night caching. I'd looked at this one a while ago. It's quite possible to cheat to find A and B on the internet! It was a fun wander around - and the GPS took me right there (<1m!) I was having doubts as I trundled across an expanse of darkness. It's very well hidden - but still found it without the clue. TNLN, Thanks.
This was fun, biked from home into norwester, used Kiwilegend's maps in GPS to find the streets. Thank you Sallies.
Nice easy one close to home - just followed Dyl around this time, he took the lead.
After a bit of tripping around we had all the clues for the final cache but with the soccer game on next to the cache we had to wait a day to complete. The cache was found easily enough. Cheers, Ridders76.
Finally got round to this one. And 'twas so close to home too. Didn't know that walkway existed. No probs finding cache. Cheers Sallies. (Could do ChCh Park while doing this one).
Thanks for another great little cache Sallies! We always learn so much from yours. Took 0 left 0 (forgot to take swaps!)

Oh dear me - I just have to make myself look harder!! This one fooled me at first, but I got it this time, thanks Sallies. I'm looking forward to the day when you run out of those tiny film canisters!! Had to wait for dog-exercising muggles to wander away, so I inspected the local drainage. How many people know that Dudley Creek starts right out in Papanui, and used to flow down Aylesford St to emerge in the Avon at Banks Avenue. But nowadays there is a large(1.8m or 6feet diameter) pipeline that starts near this cache, and goes across near Mairehau High School and outfalls into Horseshoe Lake - thereby preventing what used to be a lot of flooding in Flockton St/Aylesford St area. When I worked for the Drainage Board, we buried our best work underground!! Cheers, Grandalf
Checked the cache today. It is safely in place and all the contents are completely dry.
Glad to see that someone else has found this cache. Tinpusher, we went and put a pencil in the cache today and have added your name to the log files.
Done it at last! I can't remember when I started this cache, but it must have been about 14 months ago. Nice wee drive and walk around the river, and the final cache was easy to find. No-one around. There is currently no pencil in the cache, I had to walk back to my car to get a pen, so you may want to bring a pencil. Thanks Sallies! Cheers Gav [202]
Had to wait for the cache to be replace and then for a muggle free day / morning but finally got the thx for the tour of my nabourhood .
Checked the cache today and found that the council has been at it again - tidying up and cutting back new growth. We have rehidden the cache - basically in the same place. The hint has been slightly amended to account for the fact that there is now no new growth.
WOW - I've done the whole series.
Would have been slightly quicker if I didn't transpose two of the numbers as I keyed them into my GPS.

Really pleased to find that this cache was still there as it could have easily gone missing. But it is safe and secure.
They seek it here, they seek it there, they seek this cache 'most everywhere!
A fairly straightforward gathering of clues and cache find (although we did use the clue.) We didn't get the name of the creek as the sign has been vandalised, but that digit was pretty easy to guess anyway...
Thanks for the wander, Sallies.

Great multi cache. The kids said this was the best cache they had ever done, I had trouble getting the GPS off them. Quiet hard to find the film cannister being so small but got there in the end.
Thanks Sallies

Our first cache - thouroughly enjoyed. Had a bit of a holdup on the last clue but sorted it out in the end. I've been to that park several times and had no idea it was a cache site.
Quite a good one even for a visitor as the preliminary answers are quite close walking distance together and result in only a 5 minute drive to the cache. Last question a little tricky but then when I thought about it there's only one possible number it could be anyway, thus confirming what I think the name is. Took ages to find - amazing for such a small area. Thanks.
This was our 5th find for the day. Great little muti-cache. We knew we were in the right place but had to decrypt the clue to find it.
Thanks Sallies for a great day.
Thanks Sallies for a great day.
Came with Robinson for this cache hunt. Great final find for the day. Robinson found it but we had to decrypt the clue. Needle in haystack?
3rd cache on todays bike tour. Previous caches were Bottle Lake and Corsers. The bike sure came in handy for all the to and froing that I did. It is really quite interesting when navigating with no street maps and just using the GPS.
Enjoyed the cache. Off now to Horseshoe. Thank you Sallies.

Visited with Steve (Ssarc) from Nelson who was down for work - the last question had us stumped, but Steve worked it out. Once we arrived at the correct place we were confronted with 1001 hiding places, but after 5 odd mintes of searching Steve found the cache.
Nice little multi - thanks Sallies

A short visit to Christchurch, managed to get out for a cache hunt with Nick. Those micros sure are hard to find!!
