Day 19With the QOGM event now over it was time to head up to Mount Isa to a town we had never visited before bringing us higher in Queensland than we have ever been before. Our aim is to do some solved puzzles, multis, the virtual, labcaches and some older trads, not to mention sightseeing. Our first full day caching locally we set out after breakfast to explore the town and surrounding areas.Another nicely themed cache find. Thanks wicksy1770 for the placement.
TBU came up for QOGM No. 5 in Longreach. Before, during and after QOGM 2023 we met fellow cachers, enjoyed talks, meetings, eating, drinking, having fun and of course caching. Then we headed on to Mount Isa to get some more smileys. We found this cache and signed the log.Tftc wicksy1770

Mt. Isa Day 4
Being the weekend decided that caches closer to town would be our target.
A few were puzzles that had been solve before leaving home.
What a great way to tour the country following the geocaching trail.
Thanks to the CO for placing this cache

Found the cache farley quickly. We parked on the power line track and walked across. The cache has no lid on it, so here's hoping the log lasts.
Day 83 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic, after a the JLWEvents in Wudinna SA, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, through to Alice Springs, Uluru, Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield we continue our journey back south. It is also day 82 of a streak, so we are keeping it rolling, I think my numbers are right because right now I'm not sure, at least gcdotcom does.
Staying in Mt Isa for a few nights and having a day of caching today.
