Our daughter, we call her Lulin-girl, is studying for a semester at the University of Sydney and was enjoying the great area today. She was able to find the cache very easily, but the cache was scattered individuallyThanks for maintaining the cache and warm greetings from Switzerland to Australia
Very funny. We have put a paper clip on it to get the logbook out. Fun day out, one near by if you want to continue your search. Have Fun!!
Day 5 - Adelaide to GC9PNFB - Capital GeoBash Mega - Canberra ACTWhat a of a hide . It took LB and I a little while to locate this cache but eventually we were able to sniffed it out TFTC HugetedKeep smiling
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. Bb
An impromptu road trip to the snowies allowed me to stop along the way to grab a plethora of caches. This was one of many finds I made for the trip.An early morning find. Smelly - yes but it must be a tiny dogTFTC
Found on my trip towards Berridale to stay with my friend before heading to The Mile High Event at Tantangara tomorrow. A smelly surprise indeed! Quick find at GZ as the sun was going down. Berridale is a lovely town. TFTC!
Popped in whilst passing through, hesitant at first once I saw it, but then saw the cache container. Nice, Thanks.
Travel bug visit. Full log to follow. This TB wants to travel with dogs so it's certainly on the trail here!
Find # 11005Great to finally make a this find after a couple of failed attempts. Quick easy find at Smelly Surprise here today and cache in good condition unless otherwise noted. Thanks so much for the many caches Hugeted and of course for giving me a reason and incentive to get out here, and to experience this part of the world in a different light
TFTC a quick find along our journey. Log full very necessary to do the paper work after this one.
Something special or unusual goes here:Every time I find one of these I am reminded of the same old joke.Hey - that looks like 5h!t.And it smells like 5h!t,It even tastes like 5h!t.Lucky I didn't step in it! [:o)]Today it didn't smell but just had a log which was duly stamped. The Generic Bit:Both Bri and Sal are on the road for a holiday. [^] Holiday - Not a caching trip. This means if we are stopping for a rest, lunch, dinner or to see something whilst on holiday and there just happens to be a cache nearby then maybe Bri can go and try to find it. Maybe. Day7: Today we left Canberra to head down to Thredbo for the next two nights We managed to stop and grab a few caches in the way. But unfortunately a DNF as well. **SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks Hugeted for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
i really hope nobody saw me pull that container out, would lead to a lot of worrying questions haha
Great hide, Tftc!

I was travelling from Melbourne to Canberra for work, and camped in Buckenderra overnight on the way. Had a pub lunch in Cooma, wandered through a gallery, then went on a little drive to see if we could see snow! We grabbed this cache on the way back into Cooma. Found with Pilgrimer.
Thanks for the cache, Hugeted!
Thanks for the cache, Hugeted!
A smelly surprise indeed!
We found this on our return trip from the snowy Mountains to Canberra.
We stopped at the nearby park to stretch our legs and take a break before continuing the journey. We then had a look to see if there were any geocaches nearby, and this one was just 50 m away. Too good to pass up, so we came by and signed the log.
Thanks Hugeted

Got the right idea what this might be from logs. Can't say I've seen this one before...
After some difficulty parking including driving thru a drain which caused a crunching sound we jumped out of the car for the short walk to gz. Quick find here of this, thankfully not, smelly cache. Log extracted successfully, signed and replaced. Happy to find this today on our way to Cooma and fill a calendar spot. Nice hide TFTC

Funny find for a 400th Milestone. I see no reason for this to have a Needs Maintenance tag.

Found on the way back from the main range walk up to kousiosko. This wasn’t as smelly as I thought, but it certainly looked like a turd tftc

Well I am certainly glad we read the clue on this, then got the right thing tftc

Parked the car and walked to GZ.
Soon had the CIH and signed log.

Excellent, a normal find is great but a de-DNF find is pretty good too. On my way back north from Jindabyne, I stopped by here to fix a DNF from my trip with Calypso62 and Rama497 earlier in the weekend.
For most of the trip from my previous find I was behind a caravan with a travel bug decal on it. I don't normally bother much with travel bugs (apart from my own geodog), but when you spend a considerable amount of time stuck staring at one you do want to look it up. So as soon as I parked across the road from this cache I looked it up. I was following Albida! I doubt I'll see them again anytime soon.
After being informed yesterday morning that our wits weren't the only thing we should be at the end of here, and that the cache should be within my reach, I knew exactly where I wanted to look. There were roadworkers on the main road but no-one paid me any notice as I walked over straight to the right hiding place. After extensive searching the other day, this was a quick find and I was soon back at the car.
Rather sad though. This was the last cache on my list in the area. Now I have to leave this beautiful place and drive for over four hours. At least where I live is beautiful too. Farewell to Berridale, farewell to the Snowy. I hope to see you again.

I'm in Jindabyne with a group of geocachers, including Rama497, for the GCNSW events. Came back on our way home to avenge the DNF. This time the cache was quickly found.
Thanks for the geo-fun.

Spending a leisurely day around Jindabyne and district.
After an early morning paddle to the island and then doing the touristy thing, checking out the local shops, information centre and walking around the town for a gander. I spent the arvo driving around picking up the odd cache.
Out with sharkiefan yesterday and we could not find this one. I was back today and after reading some recent logs I managed the find...

29,940. Found with minniek, Joolay, Kittykatch, albida33, TikvaNZ and sebass19 and a lot of other cachers today.
Day 3 of the Kosciuszko Expedition, and after a huge day for many people yesterday it was a quieter event this morning. Coffee helped. After brekkie we started to head home, but there were still plenty of caches around Dalgety and Berridale to get. Lovely drive through the countryside out to this lovely town. Quick find once at GZ by albida. I'm sure that is a surprise to some people. Signed the log, replaced the cache as found, then we continued on our way.
Thanks Hugeted !! Great to be able to find caches out this way.

Day 3 of the Jindy Jaunt. After going up Mount Kosciuszko the previous day, today would be a bit easier with a drive in the wider area and picking up some easy caches.
With help of previous finders the cache was found.

After the early morning event, fitzy_1965 & I set off home via a cache or two......
Ok, we teamed up with a few other cachers who were doing the same thing.
I also managed to hit my target of 300 Tankengine finds!
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

Out after brekkie today to finish off some more caches and doing a loop around with ilook4geo and Geologic2. This was a reasonably quick find and signing duties were soon done. Not so smelly to find any more and long arms helped. Thanks go to Hugeted for placing this cache.

After not finding this on the way down decided to have a go on the way back. Albida made quick work of it after using a TOTT.

Jindabyne Jaunt GCNW Weekend at Jindabyne Day 3. After a huge walk yesterday, today was supposed to be quiet, but I ended up doing a few things. Firstly, I was up too early to go and join the breakfast event. Next was a road trip to Dalgety and Berridale for a few caches with some of the Canberra group that is on its way home. My midday was spent back up on the range of hills near Perisher to walk a 5km track to a cache that has long been waiting for a visit. I spent the afternoon trying to catch up on a few logs and other personal stuff.
I have found a cache under this bridge before, so was a little surprised to have to search again. This one is hidden way well better and took two tools to first see this cache and then extract it. I am not sure what kind of animal might have been able to get into the hide to leave the camo, but it sure is interesting.
Thanks for the cache Hugeted

Went out on a run with goingplaces2 and Geologic2 and had a mostly successful day. This was one of our successes and log was signed as required. TFTC.
I'm in Jindabyne with a group of geocachers for the GCNSW events. Today was a round trip from Jindabyne to Dalgety then to Berridale and back to Jindabyne, gathering caches along the way.
No luck finding this one today. We're leaving on Monday so passing by again. We'll stop then for another go.

Well, at least we found lunch.
Calypso62, Rama497 and I cruised into town off a mostly successful morning of geocaching. The café across the road from this cache looked good, and it was. No surprise, but nice smells from our plates.
After lunch we journeyed over the road and began an extensive search. The highlight was meeting a very nice Dalmatian named Otis. The lowlight was searching every inch of the bridge and a little way beyond without finding the cache. Even with hints from previous logs all we achieved was being confident that we weren't finding it in the right place. We'll see if anyone else finds it this weekend and it might hopefully require a return visit on the way out of the region.

We spent a considerable time on this one and think that it may now be missing, even though many people found it only yesterday as part of the local mega event. We are of this opinion with the help of a town resident who knows of the caches location. Suggest a check by CO to see if it's still okay.
Found with Youban and Tankengine while travelling around together. This cache was what we expected to find. The surprise was how long it took us to find it. Tftc!!!
OCW Aries44duo, found after 15 minutes searching. Grabbed a natural TOTT and snagged something soft!
