Logs
Out for a fund day of caching on some of the bay islands. All caches were quickly located and our names added to the logs. TFTC
Out caching today visiting the Bayside Islands with joojoo57 and Selva Girls. Great weather hopping on and off the ferry of the 4 islands we visited. Found the cache and signed the log as JARS. TFTC
Great day to be island hopping and finding caches along the way. Many thanks to the COs for placing and maintaining these caches.
Out and about enjoying the sunshine today. A little too hot for a hike, so we ventured to the islands. What a great choice! Lovely cache, thanks for taking me here 1MM.
Wonderful day for a stroll on this beautiful island and finding some caches. TFTC
A brief search around, and it was only until I was at the right angle, that I spotted the cache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [1MinnieMoo](https://coord.info/PRDCNKE) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------This morning, my parents arrived in Brisbane and were visiting from Adelaide. With no plans set for the day, I suggested a trip to the Southern Moreton Bay Islands (SMBI) by ferry. It just so happened to be a bonus opportunity to grab a couple of newly published geocaches at Karragarra Island. I had previously visited the islands on 18/07/2021 with [jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T), however, that was before an explosion of new geocaches that coincided with the [Celebrating 20 22 years of Geocaching: Karragarra](https://coord.info/GC8HK43) Community Celebration Event, that we were unable to attend.Consequently, we boarded the 12:20 hr ferry, and we visited Karragarra Island and Macleay Island (coincidentally, the only two islands that I had geocaches to find). I brought my E-bike to expedite my islands visits, whilst my parents explored the islands on foot. A terrific winter sunny day, albeit with a chilly wind to the air.
Almost missed this one. Went and signed the one at the end of the road and came back with fresh eyes and spotted it right away. Thanks!
We have been watching these new caches put out on Karragarra island for quite some time, but either the weather or timing was not quite right, but finally a great day was ready to be had, got the ski serviced, and we headed out from Surfers Paradise to retrieve these shiny nice new caches on this island.Absolutely perfect day out on the Well.TFTC
Day 16 of our attempt to get the new souvenirs. Our longest streak up until now was 10 days. So thanks to the new souvenirs we have now bettered it!! But I do think we can miss a few days and still get the souvenirs.
Dog and house sitting for friends at Redland Bay for 2 weeks so took the opportunity to cache in a different area.
Decided to come to these bay islands today which we have never been to. We brought our bikes and our geo daughter came with us. Due to a late start we only did Russell and Karragarra islands and left the others for another day.
Beautiful cycling and caching weather
Happy to find a cache 30kms from home so we don’t clean up all our close ones.
Thanks 1MinnieMoo for the cache.

Had a Lovely day out catching the ferry from Redland bay to karragarra island with the Grey Parrots...aka mum and dad. . What a total babe of an island. Have grown up in the Redlands, but never made it over here. Thanks so much for the cache!!
I pulled up in the shade and quickly located the well camouflaged container. Thanks for the fun 1MinnieMoo
George decided to whizz along to this one on the E-Scooter leaving the others to walk. Looking around at GZ, it was Matty again who spotted it. Added our name to the log, and Matty replaced it as found. TFTC, 1MinnieMoo. The boys did see a curlew on the way back to the ferry from here - probably their first curlew.
Chamad and I both had a spare day today and were looking at options for a ride as Mr TT9 usually enjoys a ride more than Miss TT11 (who was off on scout camp). Chamad mentioned taking the bikes on the ferries and doing the 4 islands to complete the new AL. I have often thought of taking the kids to Coochiemudlo to do caching with the bikes, so this seemed like the perfect practice.
The weather was hot but perfect. Some of the hills on the islands were a bit much for Mr9, but he pushed through and gave it his all. There was a lot of whinging and giving up at times, but at the end he actually said he had a really good day. So did I.
Except now, as I am logging these finds, he is covered in Calamine Lotion. Either his swim or the lie down on a towel in the playground resulted in almost his whole body covered in bites of some kind. Glad it took hours for them to show up or it may have been a painful ride home. Bike, ferry, car....we travelled them all today.

So a while back, I had this great adventure and thought what a great day’s outing it would be for me and the girls. We could take the bikes, island hope on the ferry’s, grab a few caches in the bay and do an adventure lab as well. Should take approximately 4 hrs of caching plus a lunch and drinks ok 5 hours. We could have some lunch at one of the islands and even take in a swim. Well life deals some bad cards some days, so the idea got shelved. That was until I got a phone call from triple turmoil saying she and Rylie had a free day and was at a loose end, hmmm. So I pitched an idea at her and the next thing we were set.
Today we did just that, jumped on the ferry and went to Russel first, grabbed the adventure lab and then a lonnng bike ride to grab a cache. Back on the next ferry to lamb, easy grab a cache and a couple of labs. Back on the next ferry to Macleay, grab a couple of labs. Back on the next ferry to Karragarra. Here we had a swim, a bike ride and finished the days outing, labs done, caches done, awesome. The ferry service was just great and the operators were very helpful in telling us what to do with our bikes.
It was a very nice day and a great days outing, thank you to the CO’s for the caches and the lab. We signed all logs and were happy to find all caches today.
So here we are on the final island and finally a bit of flat island to ride around. Easy find here if you look properly, thank you.

Out and about on the bike collecting caches on the Bay Islands and completing the AL along the way.
Now after arriving at the nearby event it was time to seek out the cluster of new and the odd not so new cache on this Island. I managed to get this far before the heaven opened.

Another cache for the same sad story of me missing logging it. I'm really sorry 1MinnieMoo for logging this so late. I have the description of the cache and the hide in my Personal Cache Notes, and we found all available caches on Karragarra that day and I know this was one. My apologies and I am logging this now with the correct day. Many thanks for putting out caches that we could find that day after, or during, the event.
Cheers and happy caching!

1MinnieMoo and I had placed some caches around Karragarra for others to enjoy during our Celebration Event. This was one of them.

Saturday. The highlight of this day was the Fang event, between that and the weather which changed from Brisbane to Tully half way through, i was surprised to find I had managed to get the SP name into this log (as were you, I am sure!)
This was the 4th of 9 caches logged on this outing.
Thanks ***1MinnieMoo*** for showing us this place

a morning wander had us coming here to find this little cutie! I love the play on words and phrases around here. Care bears are a favourite of mine and is a feature of my personal pathtag! MY girls Karra-lot about me - I don't know why? happy trails and thanks
Found peace, solitude, a feed and a few {FTF} while visiting Karra. First time visitor to this isle but my association with Karra goes way back with the maritime infrastructure.
Most of the walk around the island was peaceful except one particular battery powered scooter stirring up the locals and cachers alike. Just this localised episode demonstrates why road rage should be legalised. Thanks 1MinnieMoo for providing another reason to visit Karra.

Wow, it's many years since I last visited this island and found all the geocaches here. But today, I am attending a [Community Celebration Event](https://coord.info/GC8HK43) on Karragarra, so will be sure to find all the geocaches too. After checking in at the event and having a chat for a while, I decided to motor off for some solo geocaching, my excuse being that a lot of other attendees had done the same.
For the transit, I had brought my less-than-a-week old electric scooter across to chew through the kilometres. Truthfully, I didn't think it made me any quicker than those on foot as I have a tendency to stop and look at things an awful lot.
I was way out this end of the island, working my way back, geocache to geocache. Including these very newly added to my list! On my approach, Crew 153 and Aussie Liahona were waiting at GZ for others to return from another geocache. I pulled up and had a quick chat while I signed the logbook. Comments were made about how my longer arms are an advantage here.
And it's true - the level of quirk and charm on this island is huge. I did stop a lot to look at decorated letterboxes, interesting toilet blocks, custom roadsigns and wildlife too. What a magnificent place to visit. Thanks for this geocache, 1MinnieMoo

Out here on Karra for THE event, and there are new geocaches to be had. Having said hello to event-central, T4mmmy and I took a lovely walk around the eastern end of the island. THis was my final find, and a nice quick one as we walked by.
Thanks 1MinnieMoo for entertaining me at this location.

Mrs Slow Puncture told me about the event here today and we have been planning some island hopping for some time . Today she unfortunately could not make it but Mr Slow Puncture could. The weather was fine when we got there but we could see some big clouds in the distance so i decided to get going quick. I was getting very wet by this stage but glad to have brought along a rain coat and i did really enjoy the walk in the rain. At GZ i spotted a familiar hide and bingo there it was. Thanks for the fun
***FTF with the other lovely folk we joined up with to walk to the end of the island. Signed as Karra-Team to keep in the theme. Thanks for the event and the caches! Fab day even with the rain!
We came across to the Island with Crew 153 to join in at the event and do some caching with some of the other attendees.

1st to find as part of team Kara or is it Caro team and it’s a fun find on a nice walk and a beautiful day on the Karragarra island.
After returning to the event location after finding the 3 caches on the West side I joined a group of cachers who wanted to find the other new caches on the island. We decided to sign the logs as KarraTeam after passing the properties called KarraTime and KarraTide.
This was the last one which I hadn't found on the island and, luckily, there were no workers on the construction site. this let us search and it was a quick find. Another *FTF* for the group.
